The resaraunt was maybe 25 in occupancy and had to wait 10in before anyone noticed my party of two was waiting for a hostess even when the manager saw pple were waiting he did not acknowledge us but got on the radio to rush a waitress that was cleaning to greet us so that we could wait another 15in to be seated when the place was empty on a saterday afternoon and thw cherry on top was that they burned our order making have a bitter taste not coming to this Applebee’s again

* First of all there was nobody at the front desk, we were waiting close to 5 minutes to be greeted. * Second of all, all the drinks we got were literally watered down I asked for another one and that one was also watered down. * Third my niece was not given a high chair after asking for one for 3x’s. The wait for everything we ordered was soooo long.

My boyfriend and I went to this Applebee’s to celebrate our sales for our new business, and we have absolutely no regrets! Kaden was our waiter, and I’ve got to say he was exceptionally great to us. We strive on providing excellent customer service to our customers and when we visit other business establishments we expect the same in return; Kaden definitely met our expectations. Full bar in the middle of the restaurant with plenty of TV’s to catch your favorite games.

Martha at the bar is on point Great customer service! Very friendly and quick at her job. Didn’t keep me waiting for drinks like some of the other bartenders or waiter’s!

The artichoke and spinach dip was horrible the plate was dirty. The bbq Riblets where over cooked. The only thing that made my night was the dessert.

I generally like Applebee’s and I’ve been a regular customer at the Montebello location for many years. I recently moved to the Commerce area and tried this location a few times, since it was close to home. But my last experience was so bad, that I’m debating whether to go again(at least to this location). I always try to pick up my son from his babysitter’s early to avoid rush-hour traffic on the way home, so I always leave straight from work. Well, on this particular day, my husband found out that he passed a very important exam he took for work. So I decided to celebrate by buying a semi-nice dinner(as compared to our usual ‘whatever’s in the fridge’ dinner). Since Applebee’s is close to work, I decided to order from here and just do the curbside-to-go so I wouldn’t even have to get out of my car and save time. I placed my order online and timed it just right so I could leave work a bit early, pick up food just in time, and then head to pick up my son. This way the food would still be semi-hot when I got home. I rushed over to the restaurant and parked in the curbside-to-go designated parking spot. The idea is that you park there, and they bring your food out to you. Well, 5 minutes passed and no food(or even an acknowledgement that I’m there by a staff member), then 10 minutes… I saw an employee step out and figured the food was ready. Nope! They came out to make a phone call on their cell phone; and despite the fact that they saw my car and made eye contact with me, they still made their call, finished it, and went back inside without alerting anyone that there was a car waiting for their food. Finally after almost 20 minutes, I gave in and decided to head inside. A part of me wanted to wait just to see how long it would take to actually get my food. But I was already late to pick up my son. Once inside, I see a girl from the kitchen rushing over with my bag and tell the girl at the to-go cash register, «Who’s this for? It was just sitting there.» Who knows how long the food had been sitting there just getting cold. The cashier girl looked at the bag with the most nonchalant expression, obviously not caring, and said«It’s for Mari…». «Yes», I said, «That’s me. And I’ve been waiting outside for my food since 20 minutes ago.» The cashier obviously did not expect the person to be there because her expression automatically changed and she said«Oh, I just got here so I didn’t know that there was an order pending.» Really? REALLY?! The fact that there was a food order just sitting there all bagged up didn’t tip you off? Or the fact that there was a car waiting in the to-go spot for 20 minutes?! No offense, but it’s not f’ing rocket science. It doesn’t take a genius to put those two together! So anyway, she had me sign my receipt and gave me my cold food. And again said«Yeah, it’s because my shift just started, and nobody told me that there was an order waiting. I don’t really know what’s going on around here.» I was so mad that I didn’t even respond. I just grabbed my food and left. If I was that girl, I would be so ashamed. What kind of employee says something like that to a customer? She didn’t even apologize to me! Unfortunately, I had included the tip in my credit card payment online so I couldn’t even take it back. But it was just a bad experience. I won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon. I’d rather drive a little further and go to the Montebello location. Whoever the manager is at this location really needs to rethink who he hires, because the customer service is obviously lacking.

It wasn’t that crowded and they took FOREVERTOBRINGOURFOOD, and the waitress had a bitchy attitude. Since the beginning. I was late for work. Literally got here at 1:00 pm, still about to be 2:00 and still waiting for our food.

Food is good but the main reason is the happy hour specials not everyone has them. It’s from 9-close

For some reason I wanted some applebees. I got the 3 appetizers for like $ 12.50. I couldn’t imagine paying the separate price for the portion sizes I got. I just think a lot of restaurants use way too much sugar on things to attempt to make them better. It’s just like a ton of sugary sauce. That was the case with the shrimp and the boneless wings. The bartender was nice though. Not too crazy for a Friday night.

Horrible experience. I was really excited to try this place out but I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Bad service, food was ok, and to top it off the waitress tried to charge me twice for an appetizer… Do not waste your time or money here.

I appreciate Applebee’s and any other restaurant that acknowledges veterans. Appreciating Applebee’s a little more than the rest because I’m here having my lunch but MUCH respect to all that acknowledge and support any veteran.

I guess I’ll start with the positive first, it’s close to work and their drinks are usually pretty good and the appetizers are on point. But the negatives… Right now there aren’t many people in the restaurant, please tell me why the service is slow and my food is cold? I’ve ordered the chicken tortilla three times and the last two times it’s been cold. My friend ordered her steak medium and it was over cooked. It seems that the only time the servers ever hurry is when it’s time to bring us the check and they rush us out of the door.

Love Applebees. But my last experience here was extrenely disappointing. My husband and I have been routinely eaten here at Apples before going to watch a movie together… sorta like a date night. Two weeks ago on Sunday, my husband and I ordered the usual. 2 for $ 25 well done steaks and wings. His steak came out perfect, mine on the other hand, came out Rare! I thought at first it was a medium rare done steak, i let it slide for two reason #1 i didnt want to keep waiting for my fopd #2 i was afraid of retaliation from the cheff. So i left it as is. But as I kept cutting into it(about ¼ of the way in to my steak, i realized it was really effing bloody. It made my stomach turn. Im extremely sensitive to visuals, which is why i ordered well done. I dont like blood on my meat but can tolerate and i overpass a bit. But this was like dripping blood on to my plate. Nothing on the center was cooked. On top of that, the meat was so hard to chew on because the piece of steak that I had received had about 50% + tendants running through my steak. So whichever piece Id get in to my mouth, was full of tendants. It was so disappointing. At this point I asked our server, you could tell she was new, told her about the situation. She spoke to her manager, manager said it was on the house and if I wanted i can get a new steak. I said ok but I had to wait a while because other orders were in front of me. Whuuat? You mess up my order and I was still exptected to wait? Well i did, and when i got my new steak, i noticed the plate was the previous one. They didnt even bother to effin clean it or wipe it clean. –_– how effin insulting. When i was done, they were still charging me a steak when i spoke to the manager, they were saying basically i got one, the previous one, on the house not the second one. He implied that having a tough steak is not an excuse to get my steaks for free. I didnt ask for them to be free, but I should I have to pay for the cheffs mistake. Next time make my order right!

Go for happy hour and enjoy their drinks and apps. Everything else is tasty but not great restaurant quality. The service is great, the waiters seem to have a lot of fun with their jobs, but you do get a few who are too payed back and talk to each other, making you wait for your food for a long time. I recommend the server Anthony for the funniest experience ever!!!

The experience that I had at this Applebee’s was so poor that not only will I not be returning to this location, I will not be eating at any Applebee’s ever again. General Manager on site: Ken Rogers Server: Olga Upon entry into the restaurant: myself and two other soldiers, all three of us in our military uniforms, waited at the host station… no greeting, no acknowledgement…3 minutes pass, we’re about to leave, a host scurries up to the host podium, grabs some menus, turns and says, «follow me.» We’re brought to a table, menus are placed on the table, he walks away. It is 12:15. The restaurant is not busy. 5 minutes pass… still waiting for anyone to come greet us, take a drink order, interact with us. We see a tablet on the table; decide to investigate despite not being sure if it was just to play games on or what. We scroll and find you can place an appetizer order or dessert order. No go. We wanted lunch. We find the«call server» button. A couple of minutes later, Olga comes up to our table, «Did you need something?» —-no, we just wanted an air conditioned place to sit — ? «Yes, how do we order lunch?» Olga says, «oh, you want lunch. Okay, what do you want?» ***this should have been the point where we cut our losses and walked out*** We place our orders. An appetizer of sweet potato fries for the table; and then one of us ordered a Mac and Cheese with chicken lunch dish. Myself and the other soldier ordered the Under 600 calorie sirloin steak with portobello mushroom dish. I ordered mine rare, the other was medium rare. At 12:45, the fries arrive to the table. At 12:50, the GM walks by and I stop him at the table to ask for our drinks. At 1:00, the rest of the food arrives.(See pic) The food was bland, the medium rare steak was cooked to well and the rare steak was cooked to medium. We didn’t have time to send them back and wait, we ate. And with enough A-1 sauce, pepper and ketchup, it was almost edible. Paying the bill was another debacle, you’re supposed to use the tablet thing on the table. They gave us a military discount only after we asked and showed our government issued IDs(b/c the uniforms weren’t enough?). I spoke with the GM; my feedback, I believe, was constructive. Having been a server before I became a nurse and before I became a nurse in the Army, I think I have a pretty good handle on «customer service» industries. It was a waste of my breath. I feel like he listened but didn’t hear a word of what I said. I have nothing positive to say about my experience at Applebee’s. The service, the food, the staff, the ambience, and the cleanliness are all so sub-par for being a corporate chain restaurant.

Since this is the closest«American» chain restaurant to work, we have been to this restaurant many times in the past several years. Many memorable sports moments are tied to this Applebee’s. Heat beating the Spurs in Game 7, Seahawks embarrassing the Broncos at the Superbowl, Brazilians getting toyed around in the world cup are few of the highlights. Pros: 1) Very friendly wait staff(April is the best). Efficient and fast service. One of our colleagues was given a balloon and a complimentary sundae on occasion of his birthday. Needless to say, it made his day. *laughs* 2) Juan the bartender makes cocktails to our liking. 3) The 2 for $ 20.00 is a very good meal. That is our usual choice when we visit any Applebee’s. I get their Fiesta Lime Chicken as one of the entrees and it has been consistently good all these years. 4) Very generous portions for the price. 5) Ample seating and parking. Cons: None that I can think of. They recently added Grilled Chicken Wanton Tacos to their menu, which I thought were very delicious.
