Family Dollar

This store is fairly new. Lost of parking along the side and the back of the store. Inside fully stocked with all kinds of stuff you’re looking for. Clean and organized. Every time I’ve gone in it’s never been busy. But located across of Ernest Debs Park and a school, I bet they get really busy during the week.

I was not aware of Family Dollar until I saw an ad in my local circular. Oddly though, there are no Family Dollars within 5 miles of my residence. The store’s website locator indicated that this locations was my closest. Armed with coupons I drove the 7.85 miles on a rainy LA afternoon in search of some deals.
As I entered the lot, there were plenty of parking spot, I thought perhaps an indicator that the deals inside were not that great. The store itself is pretty small; on average smaller than your 99 cent only and Dollar Tree store.
However, what sets Family Dollar aside from the aforementioned discount outlets is that Family Dollar carries bigger ticket items that you would find at Target at even deeper discounts.
For example, I was able to get Tide Pods (14 count) for $ 2.50 with coupon and Downy Infusion (32 oz) for $ 1.95 with coupon — both exceptional deals. I ended up stocking up on my household items. My total at the register for my monthly household items was $ 78.67 — which at Target would have cost me nearly double this. But the best part was that after manufacturer coupons and an in-​store $ 5.00 off coupon my total was $ 38.80!
