Very good food at great prices. Excellent service, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Definitely come here for the lunch specials. They serve you quick and take call in orders if you are short on time. Great hidden gem.

Hands down the best Birria ice had in a while. First off, parking is super easy to find a spot. The restaurant was pretty full to be a Monday morning, always a good sign. The wait staff was very amicable and courteous. The Birria is by far the plate to get here. Their micheladas looked great, but I was not able to have one. Will definitely come back in the near future.

Yesterday my family & I came to have dinner here but we were discriminably were asked to leave because I was wearing a mini skirt & my boyfriend was showing his tattoos & because my brother was wearing a sleeveless shirt. We been to better up scale restaurants & have never been treated the way we were last night. This restaurant discriminates against people so don’t waste your time & money here it’s absolutely ridiculous & nonsense.

I wouldn’t give them NOSTAR! But, I have to in order to post. I’m so disappointed. I have been coming here for about 15 years and have always been treated good especially by Beto a server there. But, the other two female waitresses have nasty nasty horrible attitudes I joined my mom and dad for dinner today, mind you I had already got a bite to eat just wanted to spend time with my parents, as I was about to reach over to dip my chip in my mom’s plate when the two not only one but, both waitresses came to the table and with a nasty attitude told me that I wasn’t able to share a plate and if I did I was going to be charged like if I ordered a regular plate. I was like excuse me??? I was like I just want to dip my chip in the beans. But, they have always acted that way. I go out to dinner multiple times in different areas and have never been treated that way!!! In any place in have been for dinner! Please friends, don’t go there and if you do and see the two older waitresses don’t go in!!! I’m going to put this on my Facebook, Instagram snapshat and anywhere els maybe they will talk to them. But, I think there family. So sad! I never put bad reviews on here. But, they treated us so mean!!!

Been coming here for ten years with never any type of discrimination. Today I was rudely asked to leave with my girlfriend because the tattoos on my arms were showing absolutely embarrassing me. When asked to speak to the manager I was cutoff by Roberto the waiter and told that there is no manager. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. To show support for«hole in the wall» restaraunts and be utterly discriminated against because of tattoos is absolutely ridiculous. Save your money by eating at another location. Thank you Erik Martinez

I haven’t been here in about 3 years but I was pleasantly. Surprised it had not changed. The food and service was superb. If you want authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. The beans are amazing. But the Cadillac margarita is on point. I’ll definitely keep supporting this business.

Salsa was excellent but the carnitas were gross. Tasted like the pork was chopped and fried. Worst I ever had to be honest… wont order that again but maybe something else. I have a soft spot for a family business that is why I will give them another try.

I always come in for the strawberry margarita and queso fundido. You have to try it. Although my favorite part is just walking in and saying hi to Doña Cuca(owner) and Roberto(waiter) … Salud y Buen Provecho

The food was disgustingly grease. There salsa was as if an amateur made it. It was sad. I had there steak but it really hard. I’m not planning on ever coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Small family owned restaurant. Came at the busy hour and they were very quick yet efficient. The food was great. I had the chile relleno and taco plate and it was delicious. My friend had the mole enchiladas and loved them. The salsa was also a hit. Highly recommend it.

Great mom/pop business in Bell. The restaurant is small, but the service and food will bring you back. I came here with some co-workers after a meeting. The food was good and inexpensive. I ordered soft tacos. Loved the beans and rice. The pickled carrots, chips/salsa, and the flavored masa appetizer they served pre-meal were tasty too. While dining, another table had a birthday, so the staff(could have been everyone) came out to sing happy birthday. The person got flan, which looked really good. The staff all had hats on and were playing different instruments(even a kazoo). It was quite festive. I would come back again when in the area.

So Ive been here twice and I can say I’ve had a relatively okay to positive experience here. I have not met the super-friendly and outgoing owner everyone raves about so I can’t give this place a 5 star service rating. The service isn’t bad! Don’t get me wrong, it’s just a little slow is all… maybe it’s just the times I’ve been there though. Twice I’ve had the Chicken Enchiladas Rancheras and I’ve been satisfied. I’m extremely finicky about«clean» chicken breast(meaning I don’t like gooey meat) and it is very clean, lean chicken. The sauce is good, overall, I enjoyed what I had. The drink cups are GIGANTIC so you don’t need to bug for refills also. I love that they have an «ANTOJITOS» section priced cheaply so you can try a little bit of everything for cheap and feel out what you like or don’t like so much. And it’s a big PLUS for me as a mom that they have an APPROPRIATELY priced kiddie menu. They have either an enchilada or taco(chicken or beef) with rice and beans, chicken nuggets and french fries, or fried shrimp and french fries, for only $ 3.95, so I won’t get really ticked off if kiddo doesn’t finish her food. Loverboy is not a huge Mexican Food fan but he literally CRAVES the Machaca con Huevo from here. So much that when we eat and I ask to try some he won’t share with me… lol. The taquitos are quite good too, and I am a definite fan of their chips and salsa, especially the bright red one. The food CAN be a LITTLE bland, but nothing some salsa can’t fix. I also love how they don’t just give chips and salsa but also give zanahorias and sliced pepinos con sal y limon, not to mention the crispy bunuelos at the end of the meal. I’d more like to give it 3.5 stars, just because I would expect friendlier service and more flavorful food based on all the positive reviews. But I am a fan, and I’m willing to go back and try new things. It’s cozy, intimate, and basically is just a place to come eat when you’re craving your grandma’s Mexican food. I’ll be back, definitely. :)

I randomly stopped by here to eat with some co-workers after a meeting and was pleasantly surprised. First off, the staff is very friendly. It appears to be a family owned restaurant, which I always like to support(as long as the food is good, that is). The food is also pretty cheap — I think all our dishes were under $ 7. I think my steak burrito was like $ 4 or $ 5. They also give you free chips and two salsas, marinated carrots, and something that looked like a veggie tamale for free. Other items ordered were taquitos and soft tacos, which both friends enjoyed.

Chorizo Enchilada’s! Before coming, I was a bit skeptical because of the name. I have a Mexican food philosophy where if it has a bit of English in its name, then it won’t be good Mexican food at all! Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm smile and welcome(probably the owner) and he gave us the option to seat anywhere. Lucky for me, the Mexico soccer game was going so I grabbed me some good viewing seats. The older waitress was attending us and it felt sluggish to me. She must have been tired or had a bad day, but the owner took over at times. The place has a Mexican home feeling to it as well with all these decorations and pictures all over the place. I was surprised to see that half the customer’s were White people! That’s a surprise to me since they usually don’t come around this area often. So that says something there. First, we were served chips and red salsa along with beans. The red salsa was amazing. Mixed it with the beans and it was BOMB! I went with the chorizo enchilada’s(which I never had) and a large Horchata. What I got in return, was a large portion of both. The food was couple with your usual beans, small salad and rice. It did its job and I was satisfied with it all. Paid $ 12 for all with tax and tip. I’m definitely coming back here again.

With all the great reviews and 4.5 avg star rating my expectations of this place was high, but the first red flag should have been when I phoned them to ask the cross street and what time they close and the lady rudely squawked like a parrot then hung up on me, at that point should have went elsewhere but I was in the general area and pressed for time and hey they have 4.5 stars on Unilocal! The place is nicely decorated and clean, the menu was pretty large but the selection of tacos at $ 2.65ea was not, I wanted a chili relleno burrito but when I asked they make them with Anahiem/California chili’s and not poblano’s as they should be, so I opted for a carnitas burrito and a hard shell chicken taco and my wife chose birria. Carnitas Burrito — looks real good but so lacking in flavor and no crispy parts, some of the worst carnitas I’ve had. Chicken Taco(hard shell) — first off in a restaurant I expect them to make their own dorado style taco shell, this was like one of those chip style shells you can buy at any grocery store in a box or they kind Taco Bell uses /FAIL… the chicken tasted like a dead chicken, just boiled and shredded no flavor!, it was also very watery which made the shell/chip soggy, when I told the waitress and just asked for another shell/chip I got the evil eye but she did bring another shell, and at $ 2.65 they should be ashamed to serve this. Birria — it was a mix of Beef & Goat I’ve never had it this way before but was actually pretty good, not the best I’ve by any means but I’ve also had worse Maybe this place is hit and miss on the food depending on what you order? but I feel if it’s on the menu and your going to charge me it better be at least OK/Good(3-star) but that burrito and taco was simply crap and those are basic items in a Mexican restaurant, so I really have doubts about these other reviews. Oh and the funniest thing a friend stopped by about half way through our meal, and ordered(1) tamale $ 4.95 ha, ha, ha this is NOT Beverly Hills this is Bell! AVG2.5-Stars

I’ve been in many Mexican restaurants in LA… But this the best Mexican food I ate. «Tia Cuca», the owner is always so friendly and an up-beat person. Decoration makes you feel at home. Family owned for over 35 years. Don’t miss this place on your list Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
