I love this restaurant for many reasons and here is why: The food is very good; I have had appetizers, main courses and I am picky about my charo beans and they are great. I also enjoy their margaritas. They have a cozy bar and 2 separate rooms for dining and parties. You can even play your own music; they have quite a selection; or watch a sports event. I was on a budget and decided to have my wedding reception here. I used the open bar area and back room. We decorated the restaurant to have it a little chic… it was beautiful. Martin was exceptional working out some great prices; we had appetizers, dinner and I bought in my cakes for our 40 guests. We bought in our own DJ, flowers in the restaurant and our guests roamed throughout the bar and back room; we had dancing and the party went for 6 hours. So whether you want to stop in for a margarita, have dinner, hold a meeting or a private reception this is a great place to hold the event at a reasonable rate. The next day my friends came in to pick up all our party stuff and Martin had it all packed nicely for us to pick up. Martin and the staff made my wedding reception very special and I have great memories and photos to last a life time… thanks martin

Hair in the food. Yuck! No offer to take it off the bill. Won’t be back.

Saturday afternoon lunch date. Had a Groupon so we visited this establishment. The restaurant was basically empty with only one other couple there. We split the combo fajitas(beef and chicken) and they were good. The atmosphere is nice and the waitstaff was very, very attentive. My only dislike is their salsa. The portions are enormous so there was plenty to take home. We will go back.

The new Casa Dominguez is awesome! Being relocated to the new building on Cedar has made all the difference. No more grungy smell or outdoor restrooms. There are now two large dining areas with one being a great«party room». We simply go into the beautiful bar which is now much larger and SMOKEFREE! Since Martin has taken over he has upgraded the menu and continues to make customer pleasing changes. Flat screens TV’s and a new exterior awning are the latest. Live music and even Karaōke on Friday nights. Everyone loves the Aggie special! If you haven’t been to Casa in a few months or even years, you need to try the new Casa. Stop in and say hi to your neighbors, because they are already there.

I live close to Casa Dominguez and decide to give it a try. My wife and I enjoyed a few rounds of margaritas and house specials. The food was fine and the margaritas were strong! The services was good and the atmosphere is very friendly. I don’t know what happened during the last couple years, but the place has obviously improved. It is definitely worth the visit. I know I’ll be coming back often.

Summary: Spinach Enchiladas are the basis for this review, and should be removed from the menu. The night is young, and I may remove them from my stomach. This neighborhood establishment has been here for years, next door to Daniel Wong’s Chinese restaurant. I haven’t been here in many years. I suspect ownership has changed. You smell the smoky bar when you open the front door, and I could still detect a faint stale smell 4 tables away in the non-smoking area. No music is playing, so it’s a nice and quiet place to relax and have a conversation with someone. See? It’s not all negative. Monday at 7pm, it’s a small crowd, seated in their pointy-post-tipped wood chairs around the table with a green tablecloth. There is an eclectic variety of odd Mexican decorations on the wall(no interior decorator has been here). On the menu, many dishes are named after people’s favorite combos and area universities. Chips y salsa are average, and guacamole was better than average, for a $ 7 entrée restaurant. I ordered Spinach enchiladas, since I am here for health reasons(ha-ha). They were full of cheap canned spinach. Yecchh. But, I needed to eat my veggies, so I mixed them with salsa and rice to down them. They should either go to freshly-cooked spinach or name them after a university in Can-ada.
