I will fess up to being a book addict. I consume books at an alarming rate, generally 3 – 4 a week. This store is a fantastic place to feed my addiction! Despite the name they also carry some hardcovers and books on tape. I spoke to the owner and she said her stock is dictated by what her customers ask for. It’s clear she’s passionate about books and knows her stock well. I’ve never seen a bookstore where they invest so much energy in organizing by sub genres, so it makes it especially fun to browse. She stocks a lot of mysteries, recent & former best sellers, romances (note various sections including contemporary, historical and even paranormals) along with some non-​fiction as well. The prices were very reasonable, the books were well organized by author and it was a delight shopping here. The owner was very personable, we geeked out over books and she made some helpful recommendations too.

Exceptionally amazing!
I admit, I don’t read books. But the moment I walked in, I had a flashback of that old library sensation from my childhood. I missed the smell of old books.
Nowadays, everything is transmitted electronically to a visual device. I thought paperbacks are almost to their distinction. But Paperback Exchanges made this easy for everyone who wants to read a book the old-​fashioned way.
So here is how this works:
— You go find the books you want to buy at 50% off of the publisher’s price.
— When you are done reading, bring them back and receive 70% off of your new purchase.
— The books they receive go back to the shelves.
— All these steps complete the circle. So, these paperbacks could be enjoyed by other readers.
They also have a sister store on Westheimer. Lovely.
