I’ve been coming to Trattoria Lucia for years. The food is outstanding and the service is beyond compare. Everything I’ve ever eaten there has been great so don’t hesitate ordering the specials. This is a family owned business so they have a vested interest in making sure you enjoy your meal and the experience. Also, you can register for online specials. In addition, they have paint night, disco night and other special nights. Enjoy!

Amazing Italian dishes! This has recently become my husbands new favorite place. The portions are huge and every dish comes with a salad! We love how they don’t rush your meal and we can take time in between courses. The staff is super friendly and treat all customers like regulars.

I was here on Sunday afternoon for an engagement party. It was a buffet style and it was beautifully set up. The staff that waited on us were very attentive and extremely friendly. The food was very good, fresh and well seasoned. We had meatballs, eggplant parm, tomato mozzarella, penne a la vodka. The salad was very good also. We had a very good time. If you ever need to throw an event please don’t hesitate to call them. There was only one thing i didnt like-their coffee. It was bitter and didnt taste good at all but everything else was perfect. You will not be disappointed if you book here.

Service was horrible almost an hour for the second entrée. And when they refilled the drinks they didn’t take our old glasses away Came here a second time with a gift certificate that they have given me and while the food was better, the service was still horrible. My boyfriend had a hair in his pasta, no one came to check on us and they forgot to wrap our food to go. We waited more than 20 minutes for our food to come back packaged and I heard someone say oh did anyone wrap the fettuccine? They don’t even know what’s going on. I walked out without my food and told them that they can keep the change from the gift certificate. It’s not worth it to get the change just so I can experience shitty service and okay food. And it wasn’t even that busy so they have no excuse!

I would like to update my review. Since my last review the owner has contacted me. She went above and beyond what was need to correct what was wrong. I appreciate all the effort put forth to make things right. Not many owners would go as far as she did. Thanks again for all your effort.

Trattoria Lucia is a home away from home when it comes to excellent cuisine. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since 2005 when the restaurant first opened. Karen is always so welcoming and enthused to see new and old customers. Her staff is simply superb. Last night i brought my group and my guests simply loved the soups=pasta fagioli, straciatella and the caprese and mussels were great appetizers. The entrees included such specialities as the encrusted tina, eggplant rolatiini and the grilled chicken with the broccoli rabe and cavatelli were mouth watering. Our waiter Matt was attentive, polite and quite knowledgable of the menu. We’ll be bacj again. Karen, take a bow for runnung an exceptional restaurant.

Trattoria Lucia is a phenomenal restaurant located in Bellerose right off of Jericho Turnpike. I have been to this establishment many of times and never left disappointed! It is a family owned Italian restaurant that makes you feel right at home. I recently came here with my mother and had a great time. We were quickly seated by the host and seconds later our waiter Matt came over to greet us and explained the specials of the day. He was very attentive and had a great positive attitude. My mother requested a cocktail which was not on the menu, but Matt asked what was in it and made it for her anyway! Bread is immediately placed on the table with olive oil combined with different types of spices and herbs. The portion sizes are rather larger(NOTCOMPLAINING) so you will most definitely be bringing a doggie-bag home! I ordered the chicken scarpariello and it exceeded my expectations! Main dishes usually come with either a house salad or a potato croquette. The croquette is very filling so only have a few bites ;D Trattoria Lucia is a restaurant my family and I will be coming to for years due to its impeccable service, quality/quantity of food, location, and ambiance! KEEPUPTHEGREATWORK, #1RESTAURANTINBELLEROSE!

My family and I just had my sons first communion here, The rooms were set up so beautifully from the linens to the balloon centerpieces that they ordered for us. Now let me tell you about the food and how delicious everything they made for the communion was! From the fioretti pasta to the fried calamari, sausage and peppers, shrimp scampi, meatballs, chicken franchise, pene ala vodka and the endless amounts of food. Everyone that came to the communion could not stop talking about how delicious the food was. Our waitress was amazing and she worked so hard to make sure everything was going well. They could not do enough to make sure it was a special day. Wonderful people and a wonderful staff and thank you to Karen and mike for all that you did. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Fantastic ambiance, friendly staff, good food, and decent wine. Parking isn’t too bad and they really make you feel welcome. Shrimp is a bit over cooked but you can’t expect it to be just done when it comes to a hot buffet.

My girlfriend loved the lasagna. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and thought the sauce could’ve been better. The worst part about eating the sandwich was the ridiculously long hair I found in the 2nd half. Disgusted! Threw it all away! What a waste of money.

4.5STARS HIGHLYRECOMMENDED I lunched here with a friend on Sunday, 2⁄28. An attorney in the law office where I work, whose daughter works here, recommended this excellent family-owned Italian restaurant. Trattoria Lucia is notable for its broad menu, offering more than 25 pasta dishes, excluding specials. The restaurant also features two prix fixe menus based upon a list of 12 entrees from the regular dinner menu which rotates monthly. It is very close to the Nassau County line on the north side of Jericho Turnpike, about .3 of a mile east of the Cross Island Parkway. In contrast to most Queens dining venues, parking is a pleasure because the restaurant is virtually next to a bank which permits diners to park in its large lot when the bank is closed. Upon arrival, our pleasant waiter and apparent jack of all trades, Billy, greeted us with a smile and seated us. We were seated in a small dark half-booth area to the rear of the bar, ostensibly because parties were scheduled in the restaurant’s three dining rooms. I would have prefered to sit at a table. The food arrived promptly. Billy was very attentive to detail, alerting me to the choking hazard posed by the coffee beans in my Expresso Martini. He also asked if I wanted the Seafood Lucia(a mixed seafood platter) Fra Diavlo style or non-spicy.The female bus person cleared empty plates promptly. The Expresso Martini, which Billy made, was superb, equal or better than any other ones I’ve had in Italian restaurants. It was perfectly balanced in its sweetness and must have contained coffee or chocolate liqueur, a touch I love. My friend and I shared a portion of ten Baked Clams($ 12.95). They were very good, medium-sized and whole, with the bread and clams in perfect proportion. There was also plenty of wet breading in the dish containing the clams which we used to further season the clams. The Seafood Lucia($ 30.95) was also excellent. The portion was large, flavorful and fresh. The accompanying linguine was cooked perfectly al dente. My entrée came with a House Salad which I enjoyed tremendously. I credit the restaurant for attending to detail because most«house salads» that I’ve had have been afterthoughts, limp and uninspiring. Trattoria Lucia’s salad contained a nice mixture of both red and green lettuce. The accompanying balsamic vinegar dressing was a tasty topper. My friend advised that he enjoyed his Flounder/Shrimp special very much. We both finished with the Peanut Butter Pie, which, quite frankly, is reason enough to dine here. I eat dessert out many times a year and, in the past year, I have not tasted a dessert so delicious. It was sweet, but not too sweet. It had a wallop of dense peanut butter flavor but still tasted light and airy at the same time. The Peanut Butter Pie is a winner. I loved Trattoria Lucia so much that I scheduled a dinner for sixteen for our Meetup group on March 20th. I’m looking forward to returning to Trattoria Lucia!!!

This one of my all time favorite Italian restaurants. And I’m from Brooklyn so that is really saying something! The food is terrific. Tastes like just what it is Home Made & cooked with love. My favorite is the Lobster Ravioli. There is an out of this world salad with fennel and walnuts. Karen has catered several business events for me in the past 2 years. She works with the client. She can handle anything you throw at her. Time constraints, budgets, special diet, etc. She once put together a wonderful 40 person sit down dinner with 6 hours notice! She never disappoints. The staff are great, welcoming and knowledgable. The specialty cocktails are not to be missed! Desserts are so worth the extra time on the tread mill.

Started at the bar with a Apple Martini with their signature appletini mixture. Was tasty until you got to the bottom with a slurry of apple peels. Moved over to the dining room. Service was good until I had a half a plate of gravy spilled down my back and nothing was said until I felt the warmth of it in my back. Also all over my jacket(that had to be dry cleaned). Just a sorry. Overall the food was good, there were 8 of us so we had a good sampling of apps and main dishes. Everyone enjoyed the food, only one appetizer stood out, the brochette. The clams were unusually fishy, we did not eat them. The prices are average. I would eat here again but not go out of my to do so.

I just walked out the door and I must say I’m super impressed! I had the linguine alla joseph which I was skeptical about because calamari is always a hit or miss for me but the waiter assured me it was one of their best dishes and I definitely dont regret it! My mom had the salmon alla riviera which looked huge and juicy. She said it was extremely good and tasty and she’s a hard lady to please trust me. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs and even he enjoyed his meal. The service was also great which i was afraid of after i read the reviews of other people with groupons but out waiter was really friendly and attentive. I cant wait to go back!

Wish I could give this place big huge zero for stars!!! The order came in 90 mins. I asked for chicken sorrentino without the prosciutto and they couldn’t even get that right. I don’t like prosciutto and my entire dinner was ruined because of these unprofessional people. The staff was rude and uncouth as well and they were giving an attitude answering questions. Absolutely disgusted! ***** UPDATE Just because I reviewed the business on my honest experience. I was contacted by the manager of the restaurant and threatened with lawyers. Lovely! Last time I checked this is a free country and constructive criticism is good for business, maybe it’s time the management understands that.

my mom was nice and got us a groupon for this place since well I love Italian :) and we live only 10 mins away. only bad thing was parking but it wasn’t that difficult to go park on the street. anyway I got the carbonara with penne and omg was so good. even my hubs kept stealing my food. his chicken sorrentino was good also, but my pasta was just beyond delicious. anyway I’d definitely come back here with or without a groupon.

Let’s be honest, if you live in Floral Park/Bellerose/QV you’re stacked with a few Italian options, and even more options to grab a drink. One of the few places over these three zip codes that has been a sure thing is TL. Now that I’m back in NY, I am loyal to this place above any outfit between Vernon Boulevard and Little Neck Parkway. Even just for a dirty martini, they make a strong drink at a fair price. Follow it up with a mozzarella in carrozza and you’re really gonna feel it. Speaking of feeling through drinks, Paint Nite here is one of my favorite local things to do. I tend to turn on a business over time, but the Tratts always keeps me happy.

I have eaten here twice, both times without disappointment. The first time, I went in to the restaurant I sat and ate. I had the special and it was very delicious. The service was even better, I believe the owner was the person helping me and I forgot his name. I enjoyed the shrimp scampi and the salad… the stuffed mushrooms are to die for! The second time I went in everything was also great. I ordered my meal to go and it was perfectly packaged and ready for me to eat when I got home. The restaurant \gets a lot of business, there is always a long line of people going in and out and the service is never bad. This place is in a good neighborhood, plenty of parking and has outdoor seating. The reason I am giving this place a 4 star rating rather than a 5 is because of someone that I encountered in the restaurant today. She appeared to be the owner or a manager and the way she treated her staff wasn’t very nice. She was very aggressive and demeaning. Otherwise, I will continue to eat here and recommend others to dine ehre as well.

Had a very enjoyable dinner tonight at Trattoria Lucia. Living in the area, I have passed this place many times over the years but never tried it. I decided to scout it out as a possible baby shower location. There is no parking lot, and parking on Jericho was a bit of a challenge on a Friday night. However, I’m glad I didn’t let that discourage me. We began our meal with some complimentary peasant bread and red pepper dipping oil. Since I had read that the portions were large, we decided to skip appetizers. For my entrée, I had the chicken francaise, which was excellent… two nice size pieces of chicken breast, pounded thin and well coated with a very lemony sauce. I love it when the lemon is the most pronounced flavor in a francaise. The sauce on my accompanying pasta was much thinner and less flavorful, but our server was happy to accommodate my request for a side of marinara. Problem solved. My mom had one of the specials, «Chicken Roberto,» which was chicken cutlets served with a plentiful mound of shrimp on top(I counted 9) in a cream sauce… mom hates mushrooms so she asked them to leave that part out. I tasted her dish and it was very good. The restaurant was fairly busy, and as they were hosting a Paint Night event in the adjoining room, it was a little loud. But, the vibe was upbeat and, at this point, Trattoria Lucia was officially in the running as a private party spot for us, so we decided to stay and try the dessert. Our server informed us that all desserts are made by the owner’s sister. I was intrigued. We had the carrot cake and, while it was not the best I’ve ever had, it was very good and moist, and came with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and some decorative sauce on the side that reminded me of condensed milk spiced with cinnamon. I was into it. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. And we stopped on our way out to speak with a few of the staff, who were nice enough to give us information about the private party rooms. Overall, we really liked the food and the vibe. And the $ 10 off $ 50 Unilocal deal was a nice bonus. We will be back!
