Calvary Chapel Of St Clair County

What can I say, this is my church… so I am a little biased.
This is a Calvary Chapel, meaning that is associated with other Calvary Chapels and the first of those being Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa which was started by Chuck Smith.
One of the primary points for Calvary Chapel is they go through the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, line by line. I like this because this means that things are kept in context.
Another primary points is that the church is pastor led. This means that if the pastor is the one called to a specific work, then it makes sense that with the calling will come direction which doesn’t need to come under the scrutiny of a board. Sure, you don’t have to agree with the pastor, and you are free to leave to go to another church.
Finally, this church believes that you ought to come as you are. You don’t need to come all cleaned up for church, because God called you as you are and He will do the work.
Like I said, I am biased, but I tried to keep it to the high points. This church isn’t perfect, in fact sometimes rooms are cluttered and need cleaned, but it is teaching the Word.
