Went to see Dr. Eastern to get a mole removed based on the advice of my general practitioner. I saw some awards on his wall for being one of the top dermatologists in NJ. Not really sure how legit these are in the medical field but I figured this guy must be pretty good. The wait time was probably reflective of that. My first visit lasted 2.5 hours. The entire procedure lasted about 2 minutes. But, the waiting room wasn’t that busy prior to my entry in the examining room. So I can’t tell whether the other examining rooms were jammed up with patients ahead of me or if he was just late getting to me. A few days later the nurse called to tell me he missed some of the mole and the lab recommended he remove the rest of it as a precaution. Round 2 lasted about 1.5 hours, the procedure about 10 minutes. Then I had to go back a third time to get the stitches removed. During this visit, they informed me the doctor successfully extracted the remainder of the mole. At least they didn’t charge me a copay for the stitch removal but they asked me to come back within two weeks to follow up. I think I’ll pass.
