The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The food is great, definitely try the chicken quesadillas, lots to share. Portion sizes are large so go with a healthy appetite. Waitresses are friendly and attentive. It is a nice little Belleville pub, which is worth visiting!

Lets be honest, this is a 2 – 3 star place. But, it’s my hometown watering hole and a place I’ve been more than anywhere else in town so, I’m gonna round up and add an extra star for it being my home base. The menu is small and most of the choices are clearly frozen or otherwise pre-prepared. Not that there is anything wrong with that, some of my favorite foods are deep fried and come in a basket. Just don’t roll up here expecting some haute cuisine. The service isn’t anything special unless you are a friend, relative or otherwise cliqued up with the owners, servers or BYC. Expect to have to ask for water, wait for beers and for them to forget your ranch unless they know you — then prepare to be doted on. I have lived in this town long enough to remember when this place was nothing, China King, the Thai place and nothing again so while it might only loosely be an «Irish Pub», I’d rather go here then all of the other crap holes in this 4 light redneck Riviera. Bottom line — the place is pretty clean, the beers are cold and the food is cheap. Keep your expectations in line and you won’t be disappointed. Unless you are a dick — then you will probably be disappointed.

This is a nice local pub with a small town atmosphere. When we arrived we chose to sit at one of the dozen high top tables. There was also bar seating and another couple of tables upfront. The owner was walking around greeting customers, which was nice. The food was good. Our table ordered appetizers and each of us ordered a different entrée. I ordered a Reuben sandwich. It was not the best I have ever eaten, but it tasted fine. One of the appetizers tasted really good, which was some sort of Rubin bites that were deep-fried. They were unusual but very tasty. Also, they had The typical bottled craft beer selection. Overall, I would eat here again. There are not a lot of restaurants to choose in Belleville, so Egan’s is one of the front runners.

First thing I saw when I sat at the bar… was a mouse run across the floor in the kitchen. Told the bartender and she looked at me like I was rude. The cook was not wearing gloves and touching everything… including himself, with never once washing his hands… Won’t be back

This place is awesome! Best food. Celtic sticks are a must try. We order take out often. I’ve had many things on the menu and they have all been excellent. Dine in was also good. Small place but very friendly staff and owner.

My experiences at Egan’s Pub have been excellent! I have had three solid trips to Egan’s Pub. It is a charming Irish theme pub with an authentic neighborhood feel. The staff has also been very attentive and friendly. The food is exceptional bar grub and drinks were strong! Yummy! The shining star of my experience at Egan’s has been the Reuben Sandwich… Holy Corned Beef! Unreal! I love Reubens and Egan’s is my favorite place to grab one. It is warm, inviting, and delicious. My only complaint is that is should be served with a pickle spear on the side. In addition to the Reuben, their fries are also of excellent quality. My dining partner has also had the turkey melt and turkey burger both of which have been great! My only criticisms of the establishment is that it is drafty inside so bring a jacket. It is also a narrow space which can make it loud. It doesn’t bother me but can make a difference. If you are looking for a charming and delicious place in Belleville definitely go to Egan’s!

Great food! Excellent service. And BESTBLOODYMARYAROUND! Tasty mix loaded with green olives, pepperoni, pickles, yellow peppers, lemon, lime and seasoned rim. We come ale, we bring our kids. No matter the occasion, we love Egan’s.

I had a person close to me move out to Belleville. In an attempt to find some good restaurants out that way, I did my usual cross referencing of Google and Unilocal to find that this place was one of the highest rated places in the area. It had to be good right? I don’t know if standards are set lower in Belleville, but the whole experience was extremely underwhelming. When we first sat down, we noticed the table was very sticky to the point where our arms and hands felt like they were stuck on a movie theater floor. We wiped it down a little ourselves and that did the trick. We started with the Jack sticks, monteray jack cheese sticks«breaded and fried» with a side of honey mustard. As soon as we received the order, the immediate impression was that these things looked like an item purchased on the frozen food section and thrown into a microwave. The side dressing was good, but the food itself was lackluster, this would be the theme for the meal. We weren’t terribly hungry so we split the special: Sheperd’s Pie. When this was brought out it looked like it was something thrown together and microwaved, it tasted like that too. The meat tasted like canned chili, the potatoes tasted instant, and it just was in general bland and unseasoned. That being said, the burgers did look good and I am sure they have some items that are good an unique(I was very tempted to try the celtic sticks). I have a feeling this place is more well known for their burgers. We ended up getting 2 tall domestic drafts(big mugs with advertisements for local businesses printed on them, classy), an order of jack sticks, and shared the sheperds pie. The total was $ 30. I felt like I paid $ 30 for something we could have gone to meijer and bought in the frozen food aisle and a couple beers.

Had a GREAT experience at Egans this afternoon! Finally found a local establishment doing it RIGHT! Wonderful beer selection here. Ordered a large beer on tap and it was exceptional: beer was served ice cold in a frosty mug. Pure perfection! The food menu was unique and delicious, we had a hard time making a decision! Opted for a Reuben sandwich, which turned out to be one of the best Reubens I have ever had. Wow. Fresh and flavorful! Great job on the food prep, it was beyond expectations. Service was very attentive, the bartender was great. Co-workers and I will DEFINITELY be back, too many appetizers on the menu I want to try! What a great place to unwind and enjoy excellent food and service. Great job, Egans! This was until our visit last weekend where the big girl behind the counter turned down the jukebox music we were playing. When everyone at the bar protested, she yelled«It’s MY bar and I will do whatever I want!» Well… it’s OUR money and we will take it elsewhere. Not supporting trashy people who treat customers like that. Sorry Egans!

We have been to Egan’s a few times recently. Again today for lunch. Food was good. Please ask the server to quit calling me «Hon». I hate that. We will return.

Omgggggg this place is amazingggggg There isn’t that big of a selection, but all the food I’ve ordered from here has always made me super full due to the tremendous size of their burgers and sandwiches. Fried ravioli is very good too. I get it every time I come here. Also i heard they have traditional Irish violin music like once a month. Recommend this place immensely.

The bets Rueben I have EVERHAD! A nice little place. Long narrow bar with AMAZING food and decent prices. I spent $ 8.99 for a nice sized Rueben, best I have had. Delicious! A great variety of Irish Beers, and liquors along t=with the typical fare. A worthy visit!

They’re working hard to give you good service and good value. The bar staff is pleasant and even fun. It can get a little rowdy but doesn’t almost any good Irish pub. Fun, good value. A good addition to the growing downtown Belleville food and bar scene.
