I really wanted to give this place ZERO stars, but Unilocal doesn’t work like that.
This place scams and takes advantage of customers. I’ve never met such dishonest people in my life.
I was kind enough to support this local business, but they tried to scam me by telling me that my brand new Sony Vaio laptop’s mother board was fried, and the entire thing was pretty much «unfixable.» They offered to swap it out for an old, outdated Acer laptop + $ 350.
My instincts told me I needed a second opinion so I called Sony. They sent a technician over my house and… the verdict??? THE FAN was broken so it caused the laptop to overheat and shut down.
There you go. This clearly shows how dishonest these people are. What a bunch of crooks!!!
I feel so bad for the people who go here, trusting these crooks to «fix» their «broken» computers. For all I know, they probably swap the good parts for cheap, close-​to-​breaking parts in able to scam their customers. And make people pay MORE.
This was definitely bologna! Don’t waste your time and energy on these scammers. Go talk to the Geek Squad instead.
