Welcome to Saigon… Sorry for your long wait… That should be the slogan they use to advertise. I enjoy the menu and food, but the service around lunch time is so slow. They have one waiter to hold down the fort, and the thing is, with this place being so close to the base, you get droves of military personnel who come in large groups. One waiter cannot handle that much traffic; I’ve seen it twice already. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes just to get the waiter to get to your table at peak lunch times. The wait is often painful, and I always end up using one hour’s worth for lunch. I got the PHO beef soup the other day, and I asked for everything on there except meatball. I actually like the weird stuff in there like Tendon and tripe etc. But they just assumed I was some vanilla dude who will be freaked out by anything else that is not a noodle. The phở lacked taste. The broth was pretty watered down. They should stick more to tradition then cater to sterilized pallets. I wont be coming back. The service is too slow. The food is good, just so slow!

I’ve been to Saigon many years ago whenever it first opened. I’ve dined here probably about 10x or so. I cannot say it’s the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had because it’s not. This place can be a hit or miss… most of the times I’ve been here it’s just been alright. I would rather travel the 25 mins to stl and get better Vietnamese food. I’ve had their bun thit nuong, com dac biet, ban xeo, and phở. Everything is average but like I’ve mention not the best I’ve had. They also provide shrimp chips and salsa which is like a pico de gallo to me. I’ve never had a bad experience service wise but sometimes I think the food isn’t as fresh as it should be. Maybe they don’t get as much business that their food isn’t always fresh? Who knows…

This restaurant is a Chinese restaurant, not Vietnamese. I felt like being cheated because their restaurant’s name is Saigon, Vietnamese cuisine, but cooked the foods with Chinese style. They should either change their restaurant’s name or they should learn know how to cook the traditional Vietnamese food.

I’ve been here twice. Both times the protein tasted old and was not good at all. I don’t even think they rate one star really only half. I’ve been to way better Vietnamese especially in STL.

The food here is AMAZING very fresh and authentic… Now when you visit this place keep in mind the service is subpar, I don’t know why but every time I’ve eaten here the food orders come out of order and often leave you staring at your delicious food while waiting on others to receive theirs. The food is well worth the the minor service issues.

We had phở, grilled pork chops and fries rice. Everything was delicious. However, I am Vietnamese myself and the homemade fish sauce for my pork chops didn’t taste right to me. Must be watered down for Americans

Great find in Belleville! I got the beef Phở(no meatballs) and the spring(fresh) rolls. All was super fresh and really good. I’m from DC and I am used to a ton of Phở restaurants. When I got to this area I was surprised by only a few. This place is a gem though. Fresh ingredients, great flavor(the broth was delish), great price and quick takeout.

I have been searching for a good Phở resturant for quite a while. This is by far the best that I have been to in the St Louis area. The shrimp crackers and salsa were an interesting combination while waiting on our food. The beef skewers were super! They had a a great taste and texture, not chewy at all. I will say that the chicken wings weren’t anything to rave over. They were your average chicken wing, a little sweet and savory. The Phở Ga and Phở bo Vein are to die for. Perfect portion sizes and broth full of love. Can’t wait for my next trip to the area. I’ll be stopping in for sure.

You know that feeling you get when you drive up to a restaurant and there is no one in the parking lot? Yeah, that was mine too but I trusted my Unilocalers. Good thing! This place is a gem in the middle of Belleville. I tried the Cm Tm Đc Bit for the first time and wow, I may never eat Phở or Bun again. Ok, maybe exaggerating on that but this dish was the phenomenal. If you mash the egg into the broken rice and drizzle fish sauce on it and the crisp pork, you are in for a treat. My waiter suggested I put the meat cake(yes I said meat cake. Think of it as vietnamese meat loaf. Mystery meat adds to the adventure) in the fish sauce to soak with the slices of pork and pig skin. Amazing. My favorite place in town now.

This place has changed dramatically. Two years ago I would give this place a 3.5 star but my recent visit impressed me. The taste of the food exceeds Mai Lee in Brentwood. Definitely authentic vietnamese. The staff is very friendly. I hope they remain consistent.

Food was good. Shrimp chips was nice touch while you wait for your food. The beef sticks appetizer is awesome. Phở was OK. Service was excellent!

It is very hard to review this place. Over the last several months they have been remodeling. It is now a very accommodating place. Everything is new and clean. I found this place because of 2 other Unilocalers Tim and Cheri. I am not a big fan of phở generally, but theirs is exceptional. You get a huge bowl of spicy broth and noodles. It comes with basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño, lime, hot sauce, and hoisin sauce for flavoring. I usually get the 122a and add meatballs. They provide these awesome shrimp toast with a cilantro flavored salsa. It is delicious. I have paid for worse appetizers. The toasts kind of do a snap crackle Pop when the salsa is added. The aLso make Great spring rolls. These at very good. They have ground habanero pepper! This is different than the usual wimpy red pepper at other Asian restaurants. They lemon grass noodle dish that the name escapes me that I have tried and liked. Finally they have many traditional chinese offerings if Vietnamese is not your thing. There is a young man that works there that provides outstanding customer service.

Wow– I had a great experience here! It is in an unassuming shopping center. I would never have known to even look in here if it weren’t for Unilocal. I told the server that I wanted to order something vegetarian with NO fish sauce and he pointed out a number of things on the menu that could be made that way. I really appreciated that he made me aware of exactly what his Phở broth was made of(pork stock) and that he knew which dishes had fish sauce and oyster sauce in them. I was initially disappointed that I couldn’t get soup, but my disappointment evaporated as soon as he introduced me to the veggie options on the menu. He recommended a delicious lemongrass tofu dish and rice paper rolls filed with veggies/tofu as an app. It is a family-run business, a husband-and-wife team. I will be back to try the other things on the menu. This is a perfect place for me to come with the hubby, since they have the meat things for him and the vegetarian things for me :)
