All About Hair

I usually wait a couple days after getting a haircut to see how my hair naturally falls after being chopped. Wow. It is AWFUL. I feel so insecure now and so sad. I have to tie my hair up now because it’s just embarrassing. Hannah was semi-​friendly but she just didnt know how to cut my hair and made it choppy, uneven and high maintenance. I don’t straighten my hair everyday, and now I have to. She also took over an hour and a half. I’ve had better haircuts for cheap (just farther away) that do it in 30 minutes. She ruined my hair and now I don’t know what to do other than wait for it to grow. I wanted to look nice for my vacation and school coming up but I guess that’s not the case now.
No, I do not recommend this place.

Yeah– never again. EVER.
When I bought this groupon for a 35 $ brazilian, I got the groupon and there weren’t many reviews so I wasn’t sure what the expect. I am not the person who gets brazilians often so I don’t have that maintenance every 4 weeks. I went in and the lady said that I have to be charged an extra 15 $ dollars since it was beyond the maintenance phase.
So right then and there the groupon price was a lie, instead of 35 I had to pay 50. Not to mention this is like a nail/​hair salon place, I don’t think they «specialize» or are very experiences in waxes.
THEN, I went through with it and in the beginning I was thinking «oh this isn’t bad», and the lady was SUPER NICE. The lady was really nice so don’t get me wrong, but when we got through the rough part of the wax– it gets worse.
She used a new type of wax for the inner part, and the wax (no joke) got STUCK. It was so painful and terrible and just miserable. No joke, the freaking wax got stuck and she was as terrified as I was. And kept saying they want to use this new wax on this area because that is the sensitive area.
Anyways, I loved the lady– she was super nice– I would go there to get my hair or nails done, but never again for a wax.

There is new management here since 9 months ago. So this is the most recent review! Great prices, great service, great atmosphere! Very nice people! They are very clean too. Got my hair styled for $ 15 bucks! Can’t beat that! They have incense burning to cut out the salon smell, even though it doesn’t smell bad. MIA did my hair and did a very good job! Thank you Mia! I’ll be back!

I was shocked at the way I was treated at this salon. I got a living social deal. They were overbooked so had to give me an apt after it expired. They said that was fine, until I got there when they tried to tell me it was no longer good. I threw a fit and they honored it. THEN they tried to say I had to thick long hair and tried to up the price. I was having none of that since my hair is above my shoulders and is so thin a ponytail is like a pencil thick. So after the treatment, and they would NOT disclose what product they were using, except it wasn’t Keratin — it was Brazilian Blowout and showed me my voucher where is only said Brazilian Blowout no less than 6 times. All I asked is what are you putting on my hair? And they would only answer «some other chemical». The 2 women there were nasty in English — putting me down and how ugly my hair was then they only spoke in their native language. So I called Living Social after 3 days because my hair was a fried disaster. They did all they could. I called All About Hair and they were so unprofessional, refused to see me again to see what they did to my hair and then HUNG UP! BEWARE!!!
They did not offer me tea, kindness, water or anything. Just dished out the rudeness.

My mom bought me the Japanese Straightening deal from Living Social for Christmas. I received excellent service at All About Hair, from making the appointment to the consultation appointment. The hair treatment was fantastic. I have a very thick and frizzy hair that takes about 45 minutes to straighten normally. With this treatment, my hair dries straight and requires hardly any styling. In addition to being straight, my hair looks shining and silky.
Quyenne performed the treatment, which took about 4 and ½ hours to complete. She is very experienced and takes time to explain the procedure in detail. She also gave me a great haircut. I was very happy with her work.
Great service, clean location, and friendly staff — I would highly recommend.

I was given a LivingSocial deal as a gift for Christmas from my mom for a Keratin Treatment. I had not been here before and traveled from Tacoma area for apt. The staff at the studio were very accomadating offering me tea, water and snacks during my service. I was told fees up front. My voucher did not cover the full amount of service due to lengh and thickness of my hair. At first this did make be a bit disapointed because I had not planned on spending extra. Queyenne did my hair and did a wonderful job, she listened to what I wanted, took her time and made sure it was done to my liking. Service was worth the extra cost. I am very happy with how my hair turned out.

I bought a deal on LS forJapanese hair straightening. The owner had me come in for a consultation (no extra charge) before scheduling an appointment to make sure my hair could withstand the treatment — I wasn’t very keen on making two trips but in retrospect it talks about the integrity of the business. On the day of the appointment, everything was timely and smooth. I’ve had Japanese hair straightening done before and it is hard work that can go wrong and damage hair. This place was good. The owner was a perfectionist and she did a thoroughly fantastic job every step of the way (and there were many steps). My wavy coarse voluminous hair is now sleek, straight, silky and shiny. Would definitely recommend!
