Horrible customer service, they are so rude and unprofessional, do not recommend it at all

The service is terrible and the owner and servants are unbelievably rude. All my Iranian friends have boycott this restaurant. Unilocal keeps removing the one star reviews, so don’t trust Unilocal’s overall reviews. :(

I’m not much of a writer so I will just leave you with this… I never tried food from this culture before and it was amazing! I wasn’t even that hungry when I came in but after taking that first bite you just can’t stop eating. I ate a lot of food but for some reason I didn’t feel grossly full after if that makes any sense! I highly recommend this place a try.

This is perhaps one of the best Persian Restaurants, serving quality and authentic Persian cuisine out there. Koobideh, Barg, Joojeh, Kashk Bademjan, Fesanjan, Tadeeg… ALL are a superb introduction to a food culture dating back thousands of years. Serving them with a variety of polos(rice dishes) and topping them off with delicious tea, Turkish coffee, and sweets — Caspian really has their taste game down. Service wise, I have never had a poor experience. the staff is always very friendly and accommodating — the only lacking experiences I’ve ever heard of have been from friends of mine that went on a super busy day. This place is hands down on par with, if not above, what you can expect at one of the heavy hitting restaurants in Los Angeles or Vancouver, BC. I’ve even heard from many F.O.B. Iranians that the food they get at Caspian tastes better than many of the kebab houses back home. If you haven’t experienced Persian food, do yourself a favor and order the following classics: Appetizer — Tadeeg Gheimeh(crispy rice with lentil and beef stew on top) or Kaskh Bademjan(Eggplant dip, served with lavosh bread) Entrée — Koobideh Kabob(Juicy ground beef/lamb served with rice) or Fesanjan(Sweet and sour pomegranate molasses stew, traditionally made with chicken), which needs to be eaten over a plate of saffron rice. Dessert — Bakhlava & Bastani(Warm sticky bakhlava with cold creamy traditional pistachio ice cream), and order some black Persian tea to wash it down or fight off any brain freeze. Nooshy Joon!

Poor listening skills other than that it’s a great place and a great food!!! Little hard to find the place for the first time because you expect to be visible from the main road. Occasionaly they don’t have some lunch items available for lunch, it happened to me more than twice. Clean and fancy

Had them again for work. Same great quality and taste. Other than the service over the phone, can’t complain at all.

Great Mediterranean dishes but very poor listening skills. There were two of us and we ordered the lamb kabob and beef stew to split. The dishes came out split, but it was huge so we asked our waitress if this was one portion. She said yes. After we ate, the bill charged us for 3 dishes instead of 2. We didn’t want 3! We paid and both agreed that we thought the food was good– the service and lack of listening– made us never want to go back. This place is very hidden and hard to find, but maybe it is not worth finding!

I had a fantastic lunch this week with my team from work. As someone who has Persian heritage, I wanted to introduce them to Persian cuisine and Caspian did not disappoint. The Food: Amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful and came out in a timely manner. We had the smoked eggplant and cucumber yogurt for apps, various kabobs and dill rice for mains, and ice cream, baklava and tea for dessert. All my non-Persian coworkers were really impressed. My only disappointment was that they were out of fish that day. The Service: Very attentive and checked with our table to make sure we had everything we needed. Made sure we had plenty of hot tea as we enjoyed dessert. Really nice servers. The Space: The dining area is really upscale and beautiful. Good music playing and everything is high quality. Two walls have floor-to-ceiling windows so the abundance of light was nice. I’ll definitely be back as soon as I can!

Love the food at Caspian. It is a real authentic Persian food that tastes heavenly. You need to know what to choose. Some of the dishes are hit or miss. But the kabob is always fantastic and you cannot fail with it. Service is good, parking is easy. Prices are reasonable. A great place when you feel trying something different.

This can be little hard to find as it is little inside and not easily visible from the road. The parking is easy. The interior of the place is spacious and pleasing. The host was warm and welcoming. The waitress was straight faced with no smile. Just doing her duties. The soup and salad that we ordered was yummy. The dish that we ordered was a sweet + meat. It was odd combinations. Not bad. The food arrived in short time. The belly dance was not great. She was an average dancer. Went primarily in two rows and rarely in other. Not impressed. May go again to try different dishes and different experience.

We had the Chicken and Steak kebab Entrees with the most amazing«Zereshk Polo» which is long grain Basmati Rice made to perfection(al dente), with small tart berries called Barberry from the local region in Iran that perfectly compliments the Rice. 5 star ingredients, 5 star taste, 5 star service but very unreasonable price for a skewer of kabab, 4 start on pricing. Otherwise a great place for special occasions and treats.

The food was spectacular, each flavor was very authentic and you can tell they value having the good old family style recipes. The lamb kabob was very tender and had great flavor(don’t be afraid to try it) the koobideh and the joojeh kabob were both off the table in the blink of an eye. Huge portions and amazing tea. The tomatoes were still hard and not squishy enough for my liking. Seems like they put them on the drill for a minute only. Service is eh. Don’t go for the service. Look over the menu and be prepared to make your own experience!

Good Service, Good food, and everything is good. Considering this the only decent Persian restaurant I could find in Washington I was pretty impressed. However the lunch portions are small. I had to pay extra for soltani, I had to pay extra for a tomatoe, and the place isn’t designed for individual seating. There is no bar, and everything was provided in par. This isn’t an amazing or incredible place just a good place. Good 4 stars kinda good.

I. Love. Their. Kabobs!!! Came here with a bit of hesitation but my bosses recommended we have lunch and wow, it certainly makes you wonder why all these years you haven’t tried Persian food! We had salad, hummus, cheese etc plus bread as a starter. Chicken breast kabob(lunch portion) for entrée. Followed by dessert with chai tea. The service was amazing(or maybe because my bosses are regulars there lol) but overall, will come back soon to try other kabobs!

The food is quite good(4⁄5). However, during takeout, I’ve had three bad experiences where they use styrofoam containers and the food was smelling terrible and tasted like styrofoam. I had spoken with the owner and mentioned that I don’t want to stop going there because of this and he said he was going to look into it that day. He said the reason the didn’t switch is because it’s expensive. I offered an additional 10 – 25 cents to pay for that overhead, but I don’t know why they decided not to switch. I won’t be going there anymore after today’s experience was abysmal. Hopefully I don’t get sick eating food that has melted styrofoam because of its temperature. I suppose for dining in this place might be good, but for takeout I would stay away unless you like the smell of styrofoam in your rice and kebab.

I came in from out of town and found Caspian on Unilocal. Simply one of the best Persian restaurants in the COUNTRY! Not an exaggeration. Being Persian makes you very picky when it comes to Persian food. This place is a gem. Here’s the breakdown. Starters: 1) We were served a salad with a balsamic like dressing. Very nice start. 2) The bread and cheese. This is the ONLY thing I did not like about this place. The bread and cheese is prepackaged. My suggestion: either make it fresh or get rid of it. Drinks: 1) Dough: I NEVER drink dough at restaurants. Ever. It usually comes in a bottle and is carbonated. Horrible. BUT Caspian makes it INHOUSE! After my dad ordered it, I had to get one! Just like how my mom makes it! Even if you’re not accustomed to dough, I suggest you try it. It’s delicious. 2) Tea: The tea was delicious. They brought out the tea in a nice glass cup. The ironic part was that they came to refill our glasses with a coffee pot. The irony had me laughing. Entrees: 1) Cornish Hen Sultani: hoooo myyyyy gaaawwwdd. rice was perfect! Chicken was marinated excellently. Kubideh was the BEST! Not oily, not super fatty at all! I don’t know how many Persian restaurants I go to that try and make up for bad kubideh by getting very fatty meat. It puts me in a food coma and I don’t like it. The kubideh is a lamb and beef mix. Authentic! 2) My father ordered the lamb shish kabob. Delicious. Tender. You can taste the freshness of the meat. Lastly and most importantly the best part of this restaurant was THESTAFF! The staff would come and ask how the food was, if we needed anything, refill our glasses. I truly felt like I was a guest in someone’s house. That’s rare. Really rare. Thank you. It was an honor being your guest.

Place came highly recommend but was a big disappointment. Terrible service and very overpriced. Our ghormesabzi only had three small pieces of meat in it. When we pointed this out to the manager, thinking he’ll surely fix the situation, he said«what, we put three peices in there, you didn’t get your three peices?» What Persian is satisfied with three little pieces of meat in their ghormesabzi? Also the meats where on the dry side and portions where small comparing to better Iranian restaurants. Server forgot our doogh and they charged us for a fish dish we didn’t order. When we questioned the overcharge they said you ordered the fish. This mistake was cleared but make sure to triple check your bill. Good thing I live in the bay area and we have Negeen restaurant nearby in Campbell.

My group of 8 dined here last night. Reservations were simple to make online and confirmed via a phone call from the staff. Parking is free in a private parking lot. An 18% gratuity is automatically added for parties of 6+. A limit of two credit cards are allowed per table. Each additional credit card ran is charged an extra $ 2. A full bar is offered; however there is no lounge to sit at. Décor is rich in taste and colors — marble tables, high-back chairs and deep colors such as reds and mustard. Beautiful. A few complimentary baskets of flat bread(think flour tortilla shells) were provided for our pleasure. I ordered a couple glasses of WA Cabernet for $ 7 each. My wife ordered an Absolute with orange juice for $ 7. She stated she couldn’t taste any vodka, only the OJ. Her next choice of drink was a bottle of Fat Tire for $ 6. There are no brews on draft, only bottled beer. For our appetizer we chose the Mirza Ghasemi: Smoked Eggplant, Garlic, Tomato Sauce for $ 11. We added the egg for an extra $ 1. The egg was hard cooked and my wife’s favorite part. Neither one of us cared for this dish. The smoked flavor was overpowering — like liquid smoke. The texture was a bit difficult for me. The eggplant was mashed and not sliced. Our friends ordered the Hummus for $ 6. Great choice! The Hummus was creamy, garlicky and flavorful. A nice portion size too. Delish! For our meal we ordered Chicken Kabobs for $ 17: Skewer of chicken breast, salad, basmati rice topped with saffron rice, and a broiled tomato. The chicken was so tender and so good! The salad was a couple community bowls of spring mix greens with a balsamic dressing. The rice was fluffy and light and absolutely wonderful. My wife states the rice was the best she’s ever had before. The broiled tomato almost caused a fight at our table it was so good. Everybody wanted them. My wife doesn’t like tomatoes so I was able to devour my tomato all by myself. Lucky me! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Thank you Caspian for your great Persian hospitality and Persian food.

I don’t have much experience with Persian food, but am a fan of good food anywhere. Caspian for me was a 3.5 star place, almost 4 but for the somewhat slow service. The food was excellent. We sat down perusing the menu and were served with a house salad and flat bread even before ordering! This was a nice surprise. After doing research on previous Unilocal reviews, we decided on the smoked eggplant appetizer, the braised lamb shank with dill rice, and the vegetable chicken curry. Unilocalers were spot on with recommending the eggplant(with egg) and lamb shank. My beau really enjoyed the eggplant and we gobbled it up with the flat bread. The lamb shank did fall off the bone; no need for a knife here; and was super flavorful, bordering on too salty but was perfect paired with the dill rice. Reviewers were right that the dill in the rice really paired well with the lamb. The chicken curry was ok but nothing to write home about. It was towards the end of our meal that the service seemed to greatly slow down. It took awhile for them to box our leftovers(we had a lot as the portions were generous), to give us the bill, and to pick up our payment. They were able to entice us to order the rose water ice cream as dessert. I’ve not seen rose water ice cream ever offered before and don’t know if this is common to Persian cuisine, but I absolutely loved it! I’ll come back just for this, which portion also was generous and oh so creamy. Interestingly, I couldn’t smell the rose through my nose, but it ever so fragrant when eating it. Nom! Even though towards the end, they seemed to have forgotten us, service throughout was friendly and courteous. I’d come back(especially for that ice cream).

Talk about feeling like I had to fight Silicon Valley style traffic in Bellevue to make it to this gem of a Persian restaurant. And then arriving, it seemed like I was about to eat dinner in an old vacated office park turned into restaurant. I had the fessenjon(pomegranate walnut chicken stew) and the gemeh bademjan(eggplant pea stew) and the jeweled(sweet) rice. everything was delicious. I’ve eaten a Persian meal in nearly every city I’ve visited that has one, and this place has some of the best fessenjen ever. The interior décor is very nice. They’ve relocated from Seattle to Bellevue, perhaps closer to where the Persian techies work. Down the street in a different strip mall(again, fighting fierce traffic) is Oskoo, a Persian grocery store.

Best in Seattle! I’ve been frequenting this heavenly place for about a year now. I was sad when they closed the U district location but was instantly happy when I first walked into this location. It is big, bright and somewhat hidden with a parking lot! That’s a plus. One could say it might even be somewhat fancy! My first lunch here was when they first opened last year. I was happy to find their lunch menu. Almost every kabob is on there with a side of rice, hummus and salad for $ 9.99. Talk about a steal! I left very happy. Since then, I’ve been back here for countless of lunches and few dinners. I’ve also noticed that the business have picked up a lot. Let’s talk food! Lunch speicials– $ 9.99!!! Best deal ever. It’s a good way to sample if you’ve never tried persian food or want to test them out. Dolma & Mirza Ghasemi(smoked eggplant) — just try them both. Entrees 1 — Ground chicken kabob ~ First and foremost because I’m eating this right now as I write this review. My taste buds are thanking me and my stomach is singing. Succulent skewer of ground chicken kabobs on a bed of saffron rice with boiled tomato and spices on the side. This right here is what you will be coming back each time for. I have yet to have a better tasting ground chicken kabobs anywhere else in Washington. Nom nom nom. 2. Koobideh– ground beef! YUmm. You get one skewer for lunch and 2 skewers for dinner. I like mixing the two! One chicken and one beef is always the way to go. 3. Barg– their barg strip kabobs are also fantastic. You can tell the quality of the meat is so fantastic, it sorta explode in your mouth with flavors. 4. Lamb Shanks– this is my family fav! Lamb shank with dill rice! Lamb is falling of the bones as it arrive to your table. Well spiced, nice gravy. It’s a fantastic dish. Big enough to share and well worth the $$$. 5. Ghormeh Sabzi — you just have to have this once in your life even if you are the pickiest eater. Beefy yumminess. You won’t stop eating it. 6. Fesenjan — chicken pomegranate and walnut stew! 7. Tea & Persian Ice cream– I’m rating this because these two items are a must have with every meal. At least for me. Persian ice cream with pistachio, saffron and rose water. It;s like an ice cream square but much better. Overall, I love this place. They also have 25%off second entrée with Unilocal check in. I have yet to use it because it’s only valid for dinner. And most of the time I’m doing take out for dinner to go home across the bridge. I wish they are closer so I can go for dinner! Oh well, take out always work. Thanks for giving me many amazing koobideh lunches, family lunches and fun dinners, Caspian! Time for me to get back to your tasty take out boxes so I can remind myself why I love this place so much. And love it more with each new bite! Yummm Yumm. Thanks for packing my boxes so well and pretty too. You guys rock! :))
