Forever 21

Thought i originally wrote a review for this place because of my poor experience here for many years, but i guess now is the best time to leave my feedback.
I am mainly upset with Customer Service. The ladies who work here are bad employee’s that would rather run you down with the clothes rack than tell you nicely to move out of the way. I had to throw myself to the side and land on my ass because this worker didn’t stop intime to let me get out of her way.
The next face palm moment is when i was in the dressing room. Just standing there, waiting for a employee to tell me where to go and give me a #. I stood for 5 minutes before someone came up to greet me. She puts me in a room (i was one of the only ones in the dressing room at the time) & not a minute later i hear her saying shit about a girls outfit to another coworker. It was so rude, unprofessional and immature. The people they hire here are the worst.
You’d think the manager here would be smarter than to let a bunch of adolescence work in his/​her store, think again. The manager at the time was a B!@#$. A very crude women. I was thinking about applying at the location and gave her the application i picked up a couple days prior. She ran her eyes up and down my body and gave me this fake reply. «Ohh sure, let me have that and i’ll look over it». Quality right here… I was being judged on my looks instead of my attitude, personality and work ethnic. So no one ever contacted me back, even tho i was told they were hiring. No interview. I bet she threw it in the trash the moment i left the store. I am a customer but with the managers face, it seemed as if i was robbing her store right infront of her. Very unfriendly service.
Last year i stopped in only once and i had for the first time A DECENT HUMAN BEING at the cash register. She had this pretty blonde/​pink hair and i just adored her attitude. Very friendly person but the quality of the service prior has been terrible. Not to mention the store is always out of my size in just about everything and i just don’t want to waste my time looking when i never am able to find things i want anymore. So i just pass on this location. Not worth it. Nice clothes tho but sometimes its a hit or miss with how cheap the fabric can be. Over the last 2 years however i really liked the materials being used. Overall ²⁄₅.

Came to this mall for snowflake lane. My mum and I decided to go do a little shopping. I found some cute things in Forever 21 as always and went to get in line. There was only one cashier working, younger gentlemen in maybe his late 20’s. The line wasnt that long for me but the lady in front of me had a return that had been a gift. She did not have a receipt and wanted her money back. The cashier explained their policy to her and offered store credit (which surprised me because when this happened to me in the past they wouldnt give me anything). She told him she didn’t want to come back and he suggested that she could give it as a gift to someone! He was very positive the whole interaction with her. He was very outgoing with every customer ahead of me as well. When it was my turn, we talked as he rang up my items. Then some lady behind me in the line (which had gotten very long) decided to yell «Is there anyone else who can help you?» He apologized and explained that he was the store manager and had just taken over the store. He said he only had 3 employees there and none of them were trained on the register yet and all 17 of his other employees he had just hired and weren’t trained either. The lady didnt respond. I felt very bad for him because he was trying his best to stay positive. He was very cheerful and had very good customer service. He stayed professional the whole time. Just wanted to give a shout out to him, and to warn other customers a head of time to have patience with this store during this christmas season. It will probably get very busy and have a long line but at least he will be waiting for you at the register with a smile and a happy attitude!

This forever21 has lost their edge. I used to be an employee here and know the policy very well. You are not allowed to open a customer’s bag to check if they stole something.
I was very disappointed in the behavior the associates showed. I came in with two of my girlfriends and bought a pair of sunglasses and a necklace. As I was waiting for my friends I saw another necklace so I pulled the one I bought out to compare the two. I asked my friend if I should exchange it loud and clear right In front of the associate who was organizing the jewelry on the other side of the stand. As I decided not to exchange it, two of the associates approached me and pointed at my bag, didn’t even say a word. I let them check my bag. I participated in this silly accusation and allowed them to check my receipt as well. They saw I didn’t steal anything and didn’t even apologize. I then said I used to work here and the girl smirked and didn’t believe me so she asked oh when, I proceeded to say when Alicia the old manager worked there. So yeah, Nice job girls. That was a major fail. Thanks for the laugh though.

I usually never shop at Forever 21 because I heard they use cheap fabric/​low quality. Anyways, I decided to shop here. It is small. so small and disorganized. Clothes are often in the wrong spot. The clothes are low quality. sooo low. Prices are okay at best. Some clothes are a steal while others are kinda expensive. and especially at the quality you might be best shopping at Nordstroms or Macys. There is a no return policy! So shop wisely.
I’ll admit it, I am a bit on the hefty side– but that does not allow the employees here to treat me like an idiot. Some large size clothes do fit me, but their large here seems like a medium. They have a very limited xl and plus size selection.
I overheard some employees talk about me while I was trying on clothes in the changing room. Hello, this division between me and you isn’t sound proof. I CAN hear everything you’re saying about me and my weight. When I left the employee had that urge to grab all of the clothes from my hand since they weren’t going to fit. She was right, and had that smug look on her face.
Their jackassery could just be the fact that there’s a fast-​fashion store in freakin’ Bellevue Square. The employees need better training on how to be human. Honestly, if I owned this place I would fire these employees in a heartbeat. They do not appreciate the fact that they work in a fast-​fashion store in freakin’ Bellevue Square.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Would not help me at all with a gift card. The «manager» was some child who said there wasn’t anything they can do without even hearing the issue.
Needless to say, Forever 21 corporate has been contacted and consequences will follow.

HORRIBLE customer service– I would give them no stars if I could. My sister bought me a gift online that didn’t fit /​so I went to go make an EVEN exchange for another size and they refused me because I didn’t have a receipt. Even when I told them it was a gift. My sister had to call and explain to them and talk to a district manager all for an EVEN exchange. So ridiculous. The «manager» gave me tons of attitude about my solution & was extremely unprofessional. This company has good deals (most of the time) but needs to properly train a staff. Most of the time I glanced over the staff was behind the registers leaning and talking. I’m never buying anything from this location again. They’ve lost good business with me as a regular customer.

Forever 21 is a great teen retailer: lots of inexpensive clothing in a range of styles for every teen. But I’m not a fan of this location, which is small relative to the others in the area.
Have a small store isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you have a carefully curated selection and organize it well. But that’s not what Forever 21 does, and in trying to still appeal to a broad spectrum, the selection comes across as haphazard. It doesn’t help that the store itself is messy and lines are long.
You might find what you’re looking for here, but you’ll find a lot more at the Southcenter or Alderwood locations.

I’m not quite sure why everyone is so disappointed in the customer service at this Forever 21. Every time I’ve been, it hasn’t been lacking that much at all. But maybe I’ve just gotten lucky?
My big complaint with this store is the selection… It’s really not that great. There are Forever 21s in the area (ish) that are much bigger, and have so many more clothes to choose from (Northgate Mall, for one). I think, especially considering the business level and size of Bellevue Square, they could afford to increase their selection a bit. It’s not totally terrible, but it could certainly be better.

Wow. There is a reason I don’t shop at places like this. I don’t typically do this but I just had an awful experience. As I was checking out I was told that an item (my favorite one of what I grabbed today) was unable to be purchased. Apparently it «needed to go back to the company»!!! I’m truly shocked. As a retail worker as well, I would NEVER remove something from a customer trying to purchase it — that wouldn’t even cross my mind. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

I am literally writing this review as I am walking out the door of this store. The customer service here is terrible! I went in after a day of shopping to purchase a small bottle of nail polish in change and got nothing but sneers from the cashier as I pulled out my coin purse and counted out my coins on the counter. Once I had realized I was short 7 cents, she rolled her eyes in disgust at me. The rest of the employees here were also snooty and acted as if they could not care any less about the customers. For such a small, already lacking store, you’d think the service here would be a little bit better. I will not be coming back here!

I really struggle to even give this place two stars.
Even when I try to avoid the throngs of pre-​tweens at this place, I feel like they just crawl out of corners of the store. Maybe they live there. Who knows. But for whatever reason, the customer service seems to disappear into those very crevices, because they are nowhere to be found. Ever. I think of the dozen times I’ve been there, I was only helped by an assistant once, and that’s only because she really had nothing better to do.
The clothing is poor quality, and I feel like a lot of it is really marked up. Although it does a good job at marketing fast fashion, their selection is limited and crammed inside a small store. It’s difficult to navigate and even harder to find what you like. I’ve purchased a couple pieces here that are inexpensive, but I feel like this is less a «fashion-​forward store» and more of an «overpriced thrift store» — except the clothing here hasn’t been worn before.
Also, the music makes my ears bleed. Seriously, can they not change it to something a little less… awful?

This location is not actually that organized, lots of things were mixed up on the racks today and the store is TINY. Because the store is tiny, the selection is limited and size availability is also limited.
And then as other reviewers have mentioned, the customer service in non-​existent. When every staff person in the store looks at you blankly and then proceeds to walk by without greeting you? That’s rude. I don’t know what they get paid for, but they probably shouldn’t be getting paid at all. They can’t bother to help you, and they can’t keep the racks straight. Go to Northgate if you can, you’ll be glad you did.

Worst customer service ever. The employees seem highly disinterested in the customers as they never greet you (like as if they’re too good to say a simple hello) and the managers are always up at the register but aren’t walking around the store to see if customers need assistance.
Also, there’s nothing special about this forever 21. Not spacious compared to the downtown Seattle store and not as friendly either. I only occasionally stop by this store to buy some of their jewelry since they’re relatively cheap, but the constant stare down from the store associates is not only rude but makes the customer not want to shop here at all if the associates are going to NOT do anything for their patrons.
Forever 21, train your employees better because they sure as heck need work.

I’ve been in this store over 20 times, as my teen daughter loves it so I’m usually suckered in here. But for me, the paying customer, it’s always been capital-​D Dreadful. Here’s why:
1. Twice upon returning home from the store, we discovered that the alarm sensors were still locked on our new purchases. The cashier had forgotten to remove them upon purchase. We had to return to the mall to get them removed (note: the store exit alarm goes off so frequently that it’s usually ignored. I guess that’s what happened on these two occasions when I walked out with sensors still on my kid’s new purchases).
2. I know the styles are trendy, but the quality of all the merchandise here is severely lacking. I can’t think of anything that my kid has bought that has lasted more than a few months. Holes suddenly appear in sweaters, seams separate in tops after a few wearings, and she’s complained about shirts’ itchy materials. I know it’s all inexpensive, but it all really is substandard quality.
3. What a cluster-​mess the state of the store is usually in! Clothing is strewn about, helter skelter, and whenever we have tried to find someone to assist us in finding something, we might as well have been searching for that proverbial needle in a haystack. Unless you come here at a very off-​time quiet period when the store is empty, you’re pretty much on your own.
4. Last night I had an encounter with this store’s customer service (and I use that term loosely). My kid gave me her Xmas/​Chanukah/​birthday list (I know! We celebrate everything within a 2-​week period. It’s insane!). There was over $ 200 worth of clothing from the Forever 21 website on the list, so last night I spent an hour, online, putting all her stuff in a shopping bag. Before purchasing, I looked up the return policy (as my kid hadn’t tried on these sweaters and skirts and shoes, etc, so I wanted to make sure it all was returnable). The website clearly said that one could return merchandise to any Forever 21 store within 30 days of the shipping date, but to contact «your local store» if there are any questions. Well, if I purchased all this stuff yesterday, and it was meant to be for XMas gifts, if I needed to return anything, it would be after 30 days had elapsed. So… I called my local store (this one, at Bell Square). Here’s a synopsis of how that convo with «Caitlyn» went:
C: I don’t know what our online return policy is, but if you buy anything in the store, our policy is [x]
Me: thanks, but I don’t think your store has most of these items and I need to buy them online as a XMas gift. Your website says to contact the store, so that’s why I’m calling. If I buy this stuff today –over $ 200 worth of clothes, btw — would my kid be able to return anything right after XMas?
C: gosh, I don’t know. If you buy it in the store…
Me: no, I need to buy it online as you don’t carry these items. I just want to be sure of your return policy.
C: Let me ask my manager. (At this point, she doesn’t put me on hold. The phone line is open and I hear her talking to a male who keeps saying «I have no idea», «I have no idea how online returns work», «Tell her to call the online number», «I have no idea»).
C: I just spoke to my manager and he says you need to call the online store to find out about returns.
Me: your website says to call one’s local store for return questions. Oh, never mind. I think you just lost a big sale.
I was blown away by this exchange. I presently work in customer service myself. I cannot even imagine blowing off a paying customer like that. Oh well. Lesson learned! I told my kid that she’ll have to make another wish list, and to please focus on more reputable stores for purchases.

This store is a little smaller than most Forever 21’s but it’s neat, which is my top priority and big pet peeve of some of the bigger stores. It doesn’t have as extensive of an accessory section, but oh well.
I know some people might think its kind of silly its in Bellevue Square but it works well for me! It’s always been my mall of choice and it was just missing this before so good deal. (I need cheap fun clothes too!)

Whoa, everyone else must’ve had bad experiences shopping here… that sucks. As for me, I had a great time! It’s your typical Forever 21 store and I’m really glad they opened one in Bellevue Square. Does the cheap clothing make the mall lose its fancy appeal? Maybe… but whatever. If you want fancy and unaffordable brands, head over to The Bravern instead.
I’ve always found something that I liked after shopping here. Most of the time, it’s fun to shop here but it can be overwhelming and messy. But I usually find great deals for cute looks. I especially love the $ 2.80 spaghetti straps, what a steal.
Anyway, it’s tucked around a corner on the upper level at the mall but you can’t miss it and should check it out — because it’s definitely a great spot for me to kill time while I wait out miserable traffic from Bellevue to Seattle.

I don’t enjoy giving negative reviews, but the only thing I like about this store is that it’s a Forever 21 in Bellevue.
This location needs to find someone else to set up their window displays and front-​of-​the-​store racks. It seemed like they picked the ugliest things possible to show first thing when you walked in!
The racks were not organized all that well, and I had to really search to find a «good» section of clothes. Still nothing I would ever wear.
I say skip it and go to Alderwood, South Center, downtown Seattle, or Northgate.

On a shopping afternoon with my daughter and her friend, we went into this new location of forever 21. It is Located close to JC penney’s at bellevue square it is not one of their bigger stores. Things to know when shopping here:
–They will allow only 6 things in a dressing room at a time
–If you have more than six items they hold them and you have to take out all 6 items in the dressing room to get 6 new items. Wow that took a lot to say!
–Long lines at check out. although they tried to funnel it, the wait was still long
Most of the clerks at the store were trying to run the dressing room or checking people out and not a ton of clerks on the floor helping people. The store location is neat and bright and I am sure they will work out some of the check out line issues as they are around more. Good selection of trendy clothes that are priced right and seem to appeal !

This location for Forever 21 just opened up in Bellevue Square (I’m sure there are LOTS of young ladies who are thrilled about this!!) on the second level across from the Victoria’s Secret shops near JCP and the Sanrio store. So far, it seems like a clean, well-​organized shop — as expected!
It is a chain, but something Bellevue Square was lacking so a good fit. The clothes here are generally more trendy and not *too* expensive (nothing like Nordstrom’s pricing!) so it’s a great place to find a cool outfit or a bunch of accessories (or a new piece to coordinate with staples you have for a new look). Cute dresses, tops, skirts, etc. ~~ fun, on trend items… with a name like this, think of items you’d want to live a 21 year old lifestyle (before all of that «real life» stuff got in the way!).
