Ibsen Towing

Their psycho driver was outdone only by the apathy of «manager» Scott. These schmucks went put of their way to make sure the towing experience was as unpleasant & inefficient as possible. I’ve heard about guys trapped in awful jobs who have no other way of getting attention & take out their frustration on everyone possible. Today I experienced it first hand. Thanks, guys, for several hours of wasted time & rain-​soaked aggravation. Hope it made you feel big & important.

I called on a Saturday morning and got a very disrespectful woman who answered the phone. Took over three hours and multiple phone calls to finally connect with someone who could give me a timeframe when I could get my car out of the Ibsen lot. First, the driver asked when I wanted to pick my car up. I told him a time, he rudely responds «That doesn’t work for me». Then why the heck ask me. Tell me what window you are available, then ask me the question. I appreciate that this company has been in business since 1946, but I have to believe that customer service was flushed away when Mr. Ibsen sold the business to the current owner. Or, the owner is ignorant of how his employees treats his customers. Looking at the other Unilocal reviews, it should come as no surprise to him.

I am a light Unilocal user. I’ve never had a Unilocal account before, but just created one right now to leave this review.
They pretty much have all the characteristics of the worst towing company in the state of Washington.
They are rude, don’t treat you as a customer (probably because their only real business comes from unfortunate customers who got their cars towed away, not the ones who are seeking to voluntarily move their cars from A to B.), charge absurdly high price on anything they could find, and numerous past reviews on the damaged cars from towing and their no-​responsibility attitude are Very True.
This company’s been around for freaking decades, and it knows its business too far well, and know that they can get away with all those mentioned above. I advise you to stay away, and Please be alert when you see another IBSEN Towing sign.

I hate them. I was charged 400 $ for picking up my car. The charges for half day towing (271 ibsen charges+ 90 $ after work hrs as I called at 5:05 pm + 30 $ tax). I am unable to sleep thinking of this ridiculous expense. I hate them

Disappointed doesn’t begin to define my dealings with Ibsen. My truck stalled out on 7÷7÷2005 and wouldn’t restart called Ibsen was quoted 75.00 for hook up as I was close and then 10.00 a mile when we got to destination the driver wrote up a extra 45.00 for dolly use never discussed so my bill was 231.00 I paid it reluctantly and somehow the check had a stop payment put on mistakenly by my institute (they are rectifying it) but Ibsen never contacted me with this issue first I became aware was when the collection dept sent it to me on 7/24/2015.which Ibsen sent it immediately to and doubled the amount now owing 462.75. When I contacted Ibsen there representative Diane proceeded tell me they wouldn’t budge or bend even though I was willing to settle for 231+30.00 rejection fee instead telling me they didn’t want to help and was very condescending and interruptive when I was trying to speak she ended it by hanging up on me, how truly professional of her. I have filled a complaint with the BBB and AAA I would suggest looking elsewhere for any towing needs.

My car got towed for few hours. Charge me a flat rate of $ 241 + (10pm)after hour charge $ 90 + storage $ 60 + tax $ 35…
F#$king ass rape me! They scratch my rear bumper n now my car drives funny.
They did some 90 degree hook on my car. so pissed!

$ 196 bucks to tow my car to a shop not even a mile from where it broke down. Whaaaaat the f*******ck.

The previous reviews are all extremely accurate. They don’t treat you like customers since they know you are more or less at their mercies. While the employees we dealt with on the first day were friendly and helpful, the ones we dealt with on the second day (to pay & pick up the car) were rude and disdainful.
We tried to use an IBSEN coupon we found on their website, which advertised «10% off towing & services fee.» The employee laughed at it and walked away. When I called him back for an explanation, he gave us a lot of sarcasm and attitude. The coupon itself did not state clearly as to when it would or would not apply, so an explanation was certainly in order. Instead, I got more sass than explanation.
Unfortunately, it would appear that professionalism is not required for a towing company to do well in this state.

How is this even a business, scratches on my mustang when I picked it up, parked next to trash (2 totaled cars). The women that picks up the phone is in fucking Tacoma with shitty customer service. They charge me 90 dollars in taxes just to get my damn car out. The dudes act like complete idiots. They’re only worries about filling their pockets. And to make matters worse they’re in probably the shittiest location ever and when you call them they act like total fucking snobs to help you. I understand this is a tow company but who you got employed there a bunch a fucking special needs adults. I hope this business gets shut down or actually hire people with customer service skills since this is a fucking customer service job. My day is already fucked up and to add insult to injury I got to deal with inconsiderate, money hungry, lack of intelligence individuals. Thanks for making my day worse in top of charging me to make it even worse.

Unethical business practices. Zero tolerance for customers. It is literally all about filling their pockets with your money, defrauding! Hindsight, in a conversation recently with some good friends and colleagues, another table overheard us telling our tragedy with dealing with IBSEN. They too, turned to us and begin telling their horrific experience in dealing with ISBEN. It was very awful to hear so many great local Redmond citizens having to experience the same. How can these tow truck drivers and company remain in business legally?

The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. She couldn’t understand where I was trying to direct her driver to pick up my husband’s car, I had to repeat everything numerous times. It doesn’t help when you’re trying to get a car towed to have a surly person on the other end of the phone.

I called this tow truck company because my vehicle broke down in the middle of the street and was blocking traffic.
When the receptionist answered the phone the first time after explaining I needed a tow, she disconnected me. That could’ve been an honest mistake.
Then I explained to her that I was blocking traffic and I needed a tow truck as soon as possible, she decided that this was the time to ask how I heard about them?!
Save the marketing research for a follow up call not when you are trying to get your vehicle out of the middle of the road !
I didn’t end up using them anyways since when I spoke to the driver he said it would be 2+ hours.
