I have nothing but great things to say about KLA. Not only are my son’s teachers engaged and loving but so is the entire staff. He has come so far with so many different things since being at this school. He is happy arriving and happy leaving. They have many different fun events for the kids. They have great communication with the parents and any issues that have come up have been quickly resolved. Amy, The Director, is very involved with all age groups. Everyone who works the front desk knows every childs name. I am grateful for this school and I wpuld recommend it to anyone!

I have nothing but great things to say about this school, after been looking all over Seattle, willing to drive anywhere I had to go to find the perfect school for my son finally I found KLA.
My 3 year old has been coming for almost a year here and he loves it, the school is beautiful, the staff is amazing and they have really prepared teachers here. Everybody is always happy and I just love to walk in every morning.
My son already knows all his ABC and can count all the way to 20. They have an all organic menu.
This is the best option if you want quality education and care for your kids.

My boy has been in KLA schools for over a year. His experience is good. We can easily tell that he is enjoying his early school life very well. He is making progress both academically and socially. It is my two cents that I think, for early education, the point is to let the kids love to go to school, love to explore and know how to play hard with their buddies. :). He had that from KLA.
I would love to recommend the teachers whom my boy mainly spend time with — Miss Jotasha, Miss Angelina, Miss Faranak and Miss Karen. They are patient and fun and would love to communicate with parents. Their care is well balanced with love and discipline.
Management of school is getting more and more professional and innovative. They are responsive to my questions and concerns. Let me give one example — one day i asked Miss Mariah, the music teacher, if 4 is a good age to start drum class because i am thinking about one for my son. She said that it depends and she will check my son in her music class and let me know. Soon later she told me that my son is good with rhythm but he can only concentrate on repetition for 5 – 10 minutes which can be quite normal for boys at this age. She then suggested me to allow him to have more fun and experience more in a relaxing way for now, instead of to push him. She also suggested me to wait until 6 or 7 and don’t throw money for private class. Very pertinence advice and we appreciate it.
Their rate is moderate. They offer promotion to Microsoft Prime Program and existing KLA families. As long as the rate is not increased yearly, we have no concern with them!

My son has been attending KLA Bellevue since 2013, when they first opened. As a new parent, I didn’t know what to expect. Luz Maria and her staff have made it so easy to trust them with my son, that we continue to go there even though we moved almost 20 miles further away. They are amazing.
The classes are small so the teachers have a lot of one on one attention with the kids. The first time he told me he was excited about something, I almost cried. That’s directly from the KLA teaching him emotions and how to express them. They have lots of hands on activities and the teachers document them in their online web portal, with pictures!
I lucked out finding KLA and was in love with their philosophy, clean rooms, and open facility from the first tour. And even more importantly, my son loves it. He raves about his teachers, what they did in school, and his friends. Get your kid here today!

My kiddo loves going to school at KLA. The staff is caring, love kids, and take pride in their work. He has been attending KLA since he was 5 months. I never thought I would be one of those mothers who would cry or feel guilty leaving my child in a school while I went to work but oh was I wrong. Ms Norma, in the Baby Nido’s class was truly my child’s second mother. She genuinely loved and cared for him and he still goes to the Baby Nido class just to refresh some old memories from time to time. Ms Norma took all my anxiety of leaving my child in someone else’s care away.
Since moving to Nido A, my son has thrived greatly. Ms Dulce is a darling. She creates a fun learning environment with great opportunities to learn new skills everyday and build great social skills. Ms Dulce exposes him to Spanish, her primary language, which helps him gain early exposure to a second language. We are south Asians so every time he calls water «Agua» other parents always give me an envious look… ok I will stop bragging about my child and KLA now!

Tuition for my 1 year old went up 7% from signing the ²⁰¹⁴⁄₁₅ contract to signing ²⁰¹⁵⁄₁₆. The first tuition increase was in the form of a $ 35 monthly lunch increase shortly after signing the ¹⁴⁄₁₅ contract. The second increase is in the ¹⁵⁄₁₆ contract. Owner told us to expect a 5% yearly increase in tuition. In owner’s view the tuition only increased by 5% last year as the lunch increase didn’t count. :) didn’t count? We had to pay more than it was in the contract, how does it not count? :) My concern is the guaranteed 5% increase AS WELL AS the potential for other increases ‘that are not in the contract’ and according to management ‘does not count toward the 5%’.
Just to note, my daughter is young so her tuition is high compared to other classes in school. For older children the $ 35 had a higher % value in respect to tuition amount in signed contract.

1 month later: we took our child out of KLA. Many teachers quit including Miss Dulce who is absolutely wonderful teacher. Our child spent some days full time in classroom with owner of KLA and some other days with director assistant and some other days with director. There was no reliable communication of who would be in the classroom with the children. There was some unsafe episodes observed at pick up. My child was no longer happy to arrive at school and she stopped napping.

There is nothing like a 0 star or –ve star, otherwise i would have given the same.
Poor management and management, who is rude and have no sense to deal with situation.
We started our daughter’s Day care from KLA. It was good in the beginning. but soon. There was something which made us upset. The management started to move my kid from one class to another and teacher was not fixed.
The response from the teachers were not same and when we raised the issue with the Director, we were asked to take to our kid to another school.
It came as a surprise to us. There was no discussion, no meeting, just plain decision taken.
Director said, you should not expect same from all the teachers, though they are equally trained.
The minimal daily routine papers were not filled up. Some or the other day Diapers and Wipe were missing, with no clue unless they spent some time, searching for it,
When we asked from the director to give us time to discuss. She said she does not have time, nor she is free for any discussion.
I have not seen such a school management in my life time. Who do not how to communicate and handle situation, which is such small and meager.
School is ill equipped with teachers and differently trained.

The reason for 1 star review is the fact that I’d not want to let my child to go there if I’d know all the policies upfront. This is unfortunate, because the facility is amazing — great space, décor, well maintained rooms. I was so impressed when my daughter had started. Everything they said and tried to accomplish sounded just perfect. Staff was very pleasant. That makes me sad to write such review but the way a certain situation was handled still makes me upset. My daughter was 5 when started and her class had only 6 kids. I was thrilled — I thought there were more attention in smaller group. First two months everything was fine and then within 2 weeks period she was sent home 3 times. I’d had a call in the middle of day saying that they couldn’t manage my child and her behavior was irrational. They said she kicked and spit on the teacher, but couldn’t explained what triggered this behavior (she didn’t kick or spit at home). When it happened 3^rd time they reported her to Child protective service!!! Their explanation was what if she hurts another child … She never hurt any kid!!! She is super social and happy child. I guess, they were just afraid of liability. School didn’t let me to pull her out of school insisting that it was in the child’s interest to resolve this within school. But at the same time they didn’t let her to come back next day and only for 3 hours the following 3 days. But they were still charging me for the service they choose not to provide. I got very scared and frustrated with whole Child protective service investigation. I talked to few lawyers, couple pre-​school counselors, teachers — everyone said it was extreme and unheard of … I took her to physiatrist just in case, he said the she was just happy, hyper active child, nothing wrong and also said that whole situation with daycare sounded ridiculous. When I had 4^th call from them to pick her up in the middle of the day (by the way they give you 10 – 15 min and then start calling your emergency contacts) I told them that we’re done here. I wanted to leave the school but they insisted on 30 days notice. I believe that if you can’t provide the service for any reasons you should not charge. It is not acceptable to send child home and charge the parents as if a child at daycare. I also believe that I’m paying for service that includes teaching kids the manners, proper behavior, etc. It is normal to have active child — just find a way of dealing with it!
In addition, if your child stopped napping, it can be really hard. Other daycares allow kids draw, quietly play, etc if a child don’t nap. Here, my daughter constantly complained that they wanted the kids to lay down for nap. You can’t expect 5 years old who is full of energy quietly lay down for 1.5 hours.
Conclusion: if you have an active child — don’t take a risk, as a parent you don’t want a record in Child Protective Service!

I was quite sad to see the 1 star review for this fabulous daycare so decided to write my own experience with the center. My baby has been going to KLA for the past 5 months and we are so happy with his experience. Miss Norma is the best teacher there can be for these little people. She understands baby language and understands that even these little people are very smart. My son is quite attached to her and is always happy to reach his day care — though he is also very happy when we arrive to pick him up. The facility is nice and they keep a good variety of toys/​activities to keep the children entertained.

Can I give them negative 0? This school is a fraud. I toured the school and the Director told me and other families that everything except the registration fee is refundable if our children do not start school. Before September I decided that I wanted my daughter to be exposed to more languages so opted out of KLA. From the time I signed up to starting school (3m?) the Director left. Clue number one. The franchise owner, Maria, will not refund me — $ 1700! We’ve not attended one SINGLE day. I’ve contacted her and the head office numerous times and they refuse to honor what the Director verbally agreed upon and was promoting. What business does that??? Clue number two. On top of that, the «authorization» form they initially gave me in the initial package is different from the one I was given upon sign up. Clue number three. I also met the teacher and she couldn’t even pronounce «pirates» correctly.
SHADY business. Do not enroll your child here. So many other great options like Bright Horizons, IMA, Megumi, or anything but here.
