My collection of VHS tapes has sat in the corner for years – too expensive to pay to convert them, but too much time to do it myself. Having researched recently, the big companies still charge an arm and a leg.
Kirk, on the other hand, had great reviews, was local, and seemed like a much better value as well. It turns out all of those things are true! Kirk is incredibly prompt in replying to any questions, turns jobs around very quickly, and gives numerous options for drop-​off and pickup. I even asked if he could extract the files from numerous floppy disks I had in the corner (though he doesn’t list anything about floppies on his website), and he was happy to do it at a nominal charge.
I highly recommend Kirk for VHS conversions to files or DVDs and I would assume for any other service he provides as well!

As a business representative, I contacted Kirk to see if he would be interested in converting our 60+ VHS tape training library to digital format for us. Kirk answered my many questions and had a number of suggestions for how we could handle the conversion.
Kirk completed the conversion quickly and in less time than we originally agreed upon; quality of tape transfer to .mp4 format was very good (some of these tapes date back to the 80′‘s).
Bottom line: it was all good, we’re very satisfied.

Highly recommend! I originally went to Costco, but they could only give me a DVD that I had difficulty ripping. I wanted the files so I could save them and back them up and share them online, etc. Come on, DVDs? Kirk was so convenient — he turned around my 3 VHS and 1 8 mm tapes within a couple of days. Quality was great, and he put the files right onto an external hard drive I provided to him.
Kirk was exactly what I was looking for. The ideal situation would have been to have a friend who had the equipment and knew how to transfer my videos. Someone who could do it the way I wanted it done rather than a mass service like Costco. Kirk was essentially that friend (seriously, since his prices are so low!)

Kirk took 27 of my cassette and VHS tapes and turned them into quality digital format on my hard drive that I gave him. It was done within a WEEK and he made it really easy to drop off and pick up. He even was able to transfer a cassette that had been spliced! The price was amazing, he offers just $ 10 a tape when there are more than 20 tapes– such a good deal! I would definitely recommend Lotus Media for your cassette/​VHS to digital transfers!

I found Lotus Media here on Unilocal to help me convert a handful of Hi8 cassette tapes I’ve been hanging on to for at least 15 years. They’re just home videos from a video camera I don’t own anymore, but they have sentimental value and I figured it was time to have digital copies made. I called Kirk and he was helpful and friendly and his prices were very reasonable, so I dropped off my tapes with him and after only a couple days he had MP4 files ready for me to pick up on a USB thumb drive, convenient for any online sharing I might like to do. My tapes can go back in their box and I have access to my videos again. I can easily recommend Kirk’s conversion services.

If you need your old tapes converted to digital files, Kirk is the man to see! He did a great job converting my 20+ year old vhs tapes to MP4, which I can now burn to DVDs whenever I need. His services are less expensive than others I’ve found, it only took a few days and I got my original tapes back. I couldn’t recommend him more!

I had a bunch of old VHS-​C and VHS tapes I needed converted and discovered Lotus through a local neighborhood website. I wanted computer-​file only and not a DVD, since it’s so easy to share online now. Kirk was perfectly fine with that and it worked out splendidly. When he was done I was able to save a copy to my hard drive from his website and then upload it to my free online storage account to share with others (they can download or play the file right in their browser!). The quality is exactly the same as the original tapes. As a bonus, since he creates mp4 files, I can simply burn my own DVDs directly if needed later.
