I purchased a Gilt City special for a keratin treatment with Mandy. I sure am glad I did or I would not have found her! Such a pleasant, optimistic woman, who clearly loves what she is doing and provides a great service-​oriented environment. Her small pocket salon is in a larger salon environment in a beautiful Bellevue shopping center (three Chihuly chandeliers in the quadruple-​decker lobby!) which is very pleasant.
Mandy offers three different types of keratin depending on your hair — how about that! She choose Brazilian Blowout for mine and it turned out wonderfully. I’m growing out some unfortunate layers, and the keratin added just enough smoothing and weight to help tame the worst of them! She never once complained about the thickness of my hair — possibly a first for a hairdresser!
I also appreciated Mandy’s recommendations on blow dryers and straightening irons that would be best for my thick hair.
The only thing I would change about my experience was a) the lighting — the bulbs in the salon hurt my eyes, and with no windows there was not much relief (to be fair, I have very sensitive eyes) and b) I would have liked follow-​up care instructions for the keratin. Finally, pricing for the regular keratin (at non-​Gilt City prices) would have been appreciated. I forgot to ask, and none was volunteered.

I love my hair!
Mandy knew exactly what I wanted. I have gone to about a six or seven stylists previously… and they couldnt get it right. I told them the same thing. but walked out with a «what the heck is this» hair cut…
She got it right. to a T!!!
She’s a genuinely nice person who is super easy to talk to… I love her!
She also knows her products and what is good for your particular hair type… (is not just trying to sell you loads of prudct! only what would work well for you.)

Mandy is fabulous! I’ve been seeing her for several years, and have never been unhappy.
My hair is not what you would call «normal,» Mandy has taken me to every color if the rainbow, including the rainbow itself for a while. She always sees my vision, or has fun ideas to keep my hair a definite conversation starter in a great way!
That said, I have seen the amazing job on basic cuts, colors and highlights over the years!

I have been going to Mandy for over 5 years because she provides great services and she always goes out of her way to make sure my hair is exactly how I want it. Mandy is a pleasure to be around and her work is perfection, so I would definitely recommend anyone to her.
