Mighty Moose Comics

I love this store.
First, the store has a nice selection. Anything that isn’t in stock, the owner will order (if possible). I’ve seen newer and older selections alike, and you can sign up for a subscription service. Everything was categorized nicely to make things easy to find. Oh! And there are also some super cool ROCKY HORROR Funko Pop! Vinyl toys and other goodies on the shelves right now…
Second, the atmosphere is great. It’s warm, friendly, and bright. The owner, Ilan, makes you feel right at home. The store has the feeling of a fun, laid-​back, genuine establishment, rather than of a run-​down basement/​garage like some other comic shops.
I am definitely headed back there for more shopping and setting up family’s subscriptions!

Don’t waste your time here.
I have tried giving this store a chance many times and it’s a fairly close store to my home location. But this is ridiculous.
Four times now I have been let down by the owner of Mighty moose comics and his policies. Twice now in the morning I arrive early to be there at opening and wait around until 10:30 a.m. before I left while the store was still unopened. One night I came in hoping to catch him before they closed at 8 p.m. on a Friday and they were closed 30 minutes early. Then the day after that I decided to come in and try to check out some Comics that most of the other shops have sold out of and found that they have a new policy.
No sales on a card under $ 10.
H uh?
Apparently the card charges they were receiving were too high. Now this I can understand as I have worked in this industry before and the charges can be ludicrous but if that’s the case then maybe it’s time to change the system instead of forcing the customers to only spend a large amount.
What’s more is that the store doesn’t really seem to have an atmosphere of caring about the actual Comics themselves. Most of the time when I go in there I feel very lucky if I do find something that doesn’t have cracks and breaks in the spine or the cover. This is also a store that doesn’t seem to want to purchase anything from diamonds that they don’t consider a good sell. So if you want something that’s not the most popular you won’t find it here.
All in all I just have to say that this store exists. That’s about it. Nothing really special about it. Also they don’t really seem to care about the product.

This store has great variety, is easy to browse through, and is clean and well lit. Best of all, the owner is super friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful in looking for new stuff for people of all ages and interests. I have been there for Free Comic Book day this year and last, and a few other times in between to actually purchase things. Every time I go I leave feeling more cheery and inspired to read more comics. Gotta try out that free subscription service next, to force me out more often. Go check out the store and chat with the owner! He will help you find something great!

Ilan is fantastic, he offers a free in-​store subscription service. Super friendly. We drive all the way from Puyallup just for the service! Easy to find what you are looking for. Well organized and very clean.

Super friendly owner and they’ll hold stock for you personally if you tell them what you like. Wish the store had more inventory though as it’s a bit sparse and small (probably because it’s a mall shop).

Every time we come in, it is super easy to find what we are looking for. The owner is always friendly, and he is alway happy to point out a good new book or series that is usually a hit.
The store is neatly organized and nice and clean all the time. I will definately be coming back to st up a subscription account with them.

Awesome new book store with a great collection. The layout makes everything easy to find and the staff pick program is really cool. You can buy a book, read it, and return it for store credit if you don’t damage it. Sweet collection of 50s and orders all the new issues. Highly recommended.

Stopped by here for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! It’s about time a store of this caliber came to Factoria! The setup is small, but it’s a very nice looking store.

I had just been telling a friend how unfair it was that the east side only has one comic book shop (at Crossroads), while it seems like there are three on a single street in the U District. And then I stumbled on this place while at the mall for lunch. This is much closer to where I live, and the guy running the place seemed friendly and eager to help. He said they’ve only been there seven weeks, but those are seven weeks I could have been walking to get my comics fix instead of driving to Crossroads. I’ll definitely start coming here from now on. Support your local comic book store!

It really is a shame that the site has deemed some of the reviews for this store as «unreliable». MMC has earned every great review it’s received, and more.
I feel I more than most can give an objective and informed review, since I spent all of 2015 Free Comic Book Day driving to every comic store in King County that I could. By a wide margin, Mighty Moose is the cleanest, most organized, and user-​accessible comic store in the county (of the 10 or so that I’ve patronized.)
Having been open for about a month as of the time of this review, I’m highly impressed with the way that the store has been organized. Each major publisher has its own section for both single-​issue and trade paperback.
However, the best part of this store for me is that all new issues appear on the back wall. It’s always irritating wandering through a comic shop and trying to sort through every series they have for the «new this week» labels. Not an issue at MMC, where everything brand new is all neatly filed and even categorized, all at one place.
Great location as well, just minutes from the 405 – 90 interchange.

The owner is amazing. Great selection of comics from the big four makers. Got me back into comics. Highly recommended taking a look next time you in factoria mall
