Nobbies

I bought helium balloons from here for a baby shower I was hosting. I ordered the balloons via telephone to pick up at three thirty on a Friday. The balloons were $ 1.59 a piece. I bought twelve solid color balloons. I had to pay for them over the phone, which I hate giving my credit card number over the phone, but I understand why. When I picked them up I asked how long they would let and the women told me 24 hours. I was instructed to take them out of the bag within the hour. When I got home I took them out of the bag with 15 minutes to spare, as I live in Council Bluffs. One was already completely down to the ground. No biggie, I could still work with the balloons I had.
The next morning, the one balloon was completely deflated and four other balloons were down. That was ¹⁄₃ of my order, I decided to call, which I hate. I was able to get ahold of someone a half hour before they opened. The girl was nice on the phone but when I told her that I noticed one was already down within the hour, she said «not to sound like a bother, but why didn’t you call yesterday?» Who calls over ONE balloon? So I had to explain myself and how I was not confrontational and how one balloon wouldn’t ruin the party. She said they would «take care of the order.» I asked her how long it would take to blow them up once I got there– 15 minutes… With a baby… AND everything I still had to do… No! I had to ask her to have them ready once I got there.
The half hour drive there and back was pushing it. I in one way planned to drive clear to Bellevue among the other things I needed to do. I went in with my sad, pathetic balloons to «prove» that, now 6 of them had died. They didn’t credit me any money back which I thought meant they «take care of the order.»
Please know that if you order balloons from Nobbies that you are taking a huge risk of them deflating within hours. I will NEVER get balloons from here in the future.

Today’s visit didn’t work out so well. Appears the store is going through a major reorganization and restocking after the New Year; so lots of shelves empty and boxes everywhere. Hard to find what we were looking for.
Cashier was friendly and apologetic that we could not find the items we were looking for.

Great place for party decorations and costumes! It is is huge and has just about everything you need.

Wow! The pretty much one stop shop for all your party needs! Nobbies has everything! You can have a kid’s birthday party, bachelor or bachelorette party, halloween parties, themed parties, you name it! You can order your balloon bouquets from them and they have so many different kinds of latex or mylar balloons to choose from! I go in this store and can literally spend hours just looking at all the different things they have! I love how you can buy in bulk, treats for goodie bags! It’s makes life so easy because instead of buying four or five bags of things you can just buy at most maybe two bags of treats! It’s so awesome. Another awesome thing about Nobbies at this location is the customer service. The staff that work here are great! When I forgot one of my bags the other day, they went out of their way to find me. I am not listed in the phone book, but when I called in, they told me that that’s is what they tried to do and I was not listed. I thank them so much for working so hard to make a customer happy! These kinds of people are who I expect to work at a party store! Friendly, happy, and helpful people! Can I say I will be coming back here! YES! I will come back here to this Nobbies because of their proximity to my home, their endless selection of party supplies, and their awesome customer service! Nobbies, keep doing what you’re doing! You’re great!
