Wow, what an awful venue. My advice– bring Xanax because you’ll need it for the panic attack you’ll be having from the seating arrangement. If you arrive early you’ll be lucky enough to have a chair actually facing the stage. But truthfully, all the seats are bad so who really cares. Half the seats aren’t even facing the stage. And all of the seats and tables are placed right next to each other. There isn’t an inch in between each table or chair. You’ll be acquainted with your neighbor before the night is over. Also, aside from the close proximity, groups often times aren’t even sat together. We had a couple from a group placed at our table. They were pissed. It’s just awful. I cannot emphasize this enough. They could cut back their capacity a little and I think they would have much happier customers. Food, drinks, and comics are all great. This place has potential but is so disappointing.

This place is the WORST! We went to see Hal Sparks tonight and he was great but The Parlor Live ruined it. First off they don’t open the doors until 9:45 and the show starts at 10. Then they spend 45 minutes shuffling people in. They sat us BEHIND the server station so that all we could see were the servers gathering and putting in drink orders. We were so far to the right of the stage that we literally could not see the comedian. These are not even seats. We told the hostess we couldn’t see and she told us that we could pay to move seats. We said ok and she moved us to a booth in the back with a pretty good view. Then when I tried to give her my credit card to pay her, she asked if I could give her $ 40 cash for moving us. So basically we gave her a $ 40 tip for moving us to a seat where we could see. Then they rushed the comics out, who were obviously told to rush their sets and you could tell. It was like they were on fast forward. We waited 30 minutes for the cocktail waitress who brought us watered down drinks. I had 4 vodka drinks(2 while waiting for the doors to open and 2 during the show) and didn’t even feel a buzz. What a joke. Then Hal Sparks rushed through his set, counted down to new years and then they kicked us out. Yay. We were in the comedy show for 1.5 hours for $ 80 a ticket and about $ 100 in drinks. Way to squeeze every penny out of your customers and provide the least amount of enjoyment possible, Parlor. This place is absolutely the worst venue I have ever been to. You have been warned.

2nd Time going to the Parlor and it was just as bad as the first time. So disorganized and no one seems to know anything. The first time we saw a comedian and she put on an amazing show. The employees have no clue what is going on. How can no one know what is going on? And both times the event started totally late. Last night was a toy drive to «celebrate» with Marshawn Lynch and team-mates. I am happy we were able to provide toys to kids in need. I also understand that Marshawn unfortunately is just that Marshawn. But your fans came out to see you… we brought toys and you could not even come out and say thank you? Or have a rep come out and thank us??? Or hey how about the Parlor come out and say thank you??? Anyone? Enough money was spent on drinks and dropping off $ 180 worth of toys(thankful again that kids get to celebrate Christmas) and no one bothered to say hey thanks for coming out and supporting a good cause. Getting off the Parlor email list because reading through other reviews this place is terrible. Don’t promote something that is not really going to happen

Not what it used to be. We stood in line for over 30 minutes out in the lincoln square mall. They sold way too many seats and crammed as many people as possible in the venue. The service is terrible. You can not bring a drink in to the comedy club from the Parlor bar and you will not be able to find your server EVER. Total buzzkill before the night even starts. When the show is over you will have to find your server or wait for them so you can pay and leave. Most people will not get to sit together and 40% of the seats don’t face the stage or a TV. The comedians were hilarious. Just plan on wasting about an hour with no alcohol standing in line and waiting for the show to start.

Beware of their Groupon scam! Bought two VIP tickets through Groupon. Called to redeem and was told that Groupon voucher can only be used INPERSON on DAYOFSHOW. Expires in two months. Well guess what? Their VIP tickets are always SOLDOUT! Making it impossible to redeem the groupon. My next course of action will be to take Groupon to small claims.

Horrible Venue, don’t waste your money! We bought VIP tickets for four. first they changed the venue from Seattle to Bellevue. After emailing with the manager who assured us that we would all be seated together, sure enough, we got there and were told we couldn’t sit together. They showed us to two crammed seats, and two others several tables away two seats with backs to the stage. There were several seats together with backs to the stage and so we asked if we could take them so we could sit together. Initially they said no because those seats were not vip seats. really?. So We had to trapse back through the impressively overcrowded room back to the manager to confirm that yes, we could take those seats. All was good until they tried to tell us we couldn’t turn our chairs to actually SEE the show. WTF??? how do you even sell this as an option to not see the show you paid to see??? More than half the room was expected to try to turn their heads like Linda Blair to see, but we did turn our chairs around. If you really don’t have enough room to seat people then don’t sell the tickets. I find it hard to believe there wasn’t fire code violations to have all those people crammed in there. Oh, and, by the way, the guy who was called up on stage, who was dancing around and crawling on the stage who ended up was carrying a concealed HANDGUN? Super creepy!!! Seriously rediculous. Peeps, we go out a lot to shows at all sorts of venues. This is not a good time, do not waste your money.

Not impressed. The girl at the front tonight(girl with silver??? Braid extensions) was whack-stank attitude. Came 30 min before the show that I got free tickets to and was supposed to pick em up from will call, and she said we came too late and had to pay a fee. My tickets were supposed to be free but ended up being $ 13. The show hasn’t even started yet and we are 42 minutes into it. Service isn’t even that good here. Next time they can keep their free tickets.

The show/comedians were fantastic. My only complaint was that we purchased 4 table seats together and when we arrived we were told we could not sit together. Three were placed at one table and one at another(not adjacent, another row and down several tables). The show started at 7:30 and we arrived at 7:10…and although there were multiple empty tables they were all reserved. In fact, the hostess practically scolded us that we could sit where she told us or not see the show, «It’s first come first serve and those tables are all reserved, period!» So… the comedy was great. Sitting alone with the rest of my group sitting elsewhere wasn’t great at all. And the hostess staff’s attitude wasn’t appreciated.

We came out for a comedy show, a group of 4. First mistake, those groupons. Don’t EVER buy a groupon. The VIP deal was worthless. We were told VIP were sold out even though during the show the seats were half empty, so we were squashed in side seating, where you can’t even walk through. It took 20 minutes to get service to just order drinks. They are clearly understaffed, even though the bar right outside the door was empty with 3 bartenders lounging around, but we were not allowed to purchase drinks there due to the 2-drink purchase minimum. Our waiter tried very hard and I felt bad for him, but he didn’t know what a Rose wine was, and brought me a white wine in the end. After waiting 30 minutes I wasn’t going to argue anymore. The food was ok, typical bar. They hold on to your debit/CC card during your entire stay, which I am not comfortable with. I don’t trust bars and I brought cash to pay, but that wasn’t an option here. Then they drop an automatic 18% gratuity! For what? We saw our waiter twice and he messed up on my drink order. There is NO free water. It’s $ 5 for a bottle. I’ve had good experiences here before, but this time it was such a hassle that I will never go back. I know they get tons of business and could care less what one customer says, but thought I would prevent someone a future headache but advising against that damn groupon.

Show started late, but good to get there early for prime seats. Food was good! Comedy was entertaining. Didn’t like the forced tip and forced 2 item purchase, but it wasn’t anything I wouldn’t have done anyway. Overall, a fun night out!

I’ve been impressed with this place every time! Great night out in downtown Bellevue! I don’t hang out in the bar area too much, but I do enjoy going for the comedy shows! The food and drinks are decent(two item minimum, so come hungry and thirsty). My only complaint is that when you get stuck in the seats on the side, you can’t really see the stage. Kind of a bummer. Other than that, love it.

I’ve been to both the Parlor in Seattle as well as in Bellevue. Both location offers a fun, clean, and entertaining environment. The Comedy acts are generally quite funny(rarely disappointed), the seating arrangement sucks because it’s very tight and you’re literally sitting a couple inches(sideways) to a foot(across) from strangers, the prices for drinks/food are expensive(ex. a bottle of water is like $ 5, and no they don’t provide free tap water), and there’s a two item minimum for each person. They also include an automatic 18% gratuity, so be careful you’re not accidentally tipping 36−50% I frequent this place every few months, and I’ll continue to do so because I’m pretty much guaranteed to laugh, though at an expense.

Have been to both the Seattle and Bellevue locations. Seating is horrible. About 40% of the seats are facing away from the stage. The hostess seemed to be under some sort of duress to seat us in some truly terrible seats, facing away from the stage and into the faces of some strangers across the narrow table. We eventually talked her into seating us elsewhere. Place was not close to being sold out. Once seated and served, server disappeared. Would have liked some ketchup for the not-too-bad fries. Unfortunately, server was nowhere to be found so we ended up making due with some sort of sour milk concoction that we could only assume was once raunch dressing. I have no desire to return to either location.

I went to the Norm MacDonald event a few weeks ago. the even itself was amazing, 5 stars. However, we were NOT warned about the ridiculous min 2ITEM order policy. Blatantly misleading and bad/stupid business. If I had been warned about it I would have not eaten prior to the event. The food looked really good. Instead, we ordered the cheapest items(tea and water) and didn’t even finish consuming them. dumb, dumb, dumb. In fact, I asked the waitress if I could just give her $ 20 to leave us alone, and the Mensa candidate said«it’s not our policy.» Trust me folks, you would have made much more money off me by taking the cash than forcing us to order tea and water.

I’ve been here several times only to see the comedians. The food here is over priced and not great. Plus the seating is awful! If you don’t pay extra to sit in a booth, you’re gonna sit in very uncomfortable stools with no back support. Plus, I found a hair in my dessert one time a year or so ago and emailed them letting them know what happened. I got zero response. But oh well, I only come back cause of the comedians. I won’t ever order food or dessert here again.

I been here 3 times. The wait time for all 3 visits was poor because they never start on time. The food and drinks are overpriced since there is nothing really special and they force you to buy 2 orders. The service is almost nonexistent after they get your order. I would understand. If the start time for the shows and the lack of service was poor for the first time, but 3 times in a row??? The seating is awkward for over half the people in the room. Good luck finding a good seat. 2 stars for the comedian. I deducted 3 stars for poor service when they force you to buy 2 items off the menu per person. I just buy waffle fries and a beer every time I go. I don’t really mind the late starts. I will only go back if a famous person comes to town.

The facilities are nice enough, but you get a big double bait and switch when you buy tickets for an act: they require a two order minimum per person, and despite their menu indicating gratuity will be added with a party of 8 or more(fairly standard), they actually add a gratuity to individual bills and make it a required part of the bill. I don’t appreciate having my money so freely claimed without my permission. The food is acceptable, and isn’t very unreasonably priced. Seating is far too close together, and the bill took too long to arrive.

I have been to the Parlor in Bellevue and Seattle over 15 times. I always use a **travelzoo voucher**(found on travelzoo website) which costs $ 40 and includes 2VIP seats(normally within 5 – 10 feet of stage) 2 free glasses of wine and a cheese platter. This is hands down the best deal around. I cannot stress it enough. You cant find a cheaper venue where you get to see famous actors and comedians up close and personal. Check the lineup and go see your favorites. 90% of the time you can get a picture with them. For those who complain and rate low stars: Yes there is a 2 item minimum, deal with it, tickets are less than $ 30, you can afford $ 20 for drink and food. Also if you order anything outside of the comedy room, it DOESNOT count towards the two item minimum. Plan accordingly. Yes the tables are small and sometimes you have to turn your chair to face the comedian. Get there early and get better seats. You could go see Dane Cook at Key Arena 5 years ago for $ 60 in the nose bleeds. I doubt anyone got to meet him personally. I consider myself spoiled. Know your comedian, they are all different. Some encourage interaction while others have jokes they want to tell and you being obnoxious takes away from that. Put yourself in their shoes. I cannot stress the Travelzoo Promotion enough. It has been ongoing for 6 months and I don’t see it ending anytime soon. You can book as many as you want, I have brought a crowd of 6 and easily sat together. Enjoy!

Don’t go unless your favorite comedian will be here. Laughs Comedy Spot and the Comedy Underground both provide a better experience for the customer. The venue is long and narrow so only the VIP booth seats face the stage. With other seating you seat sideways. I doubt that general seating could even see the stage as it is so far off to the side. The night I went less than half the seats were filled and I still felt cramped. The food was pretty good, the drinks were fine, service was poor. Did not like the 20% added gratuity for a party of two.
