Peak Performance – The Running Store

I will preface this by saying that I really enjoy Peak Performance. I’ve never had a bad experience in there. The number of stars given in this review is only reflective of the selection in the store, and not the staff themselves. This Peak Performance is much smaller than the main store on Cass St. There is minimal gear here, but they do have all of the newest versions of running shoes. The service was very friendly, as is typical for the Peak stores. It’s a small space, so there’s not much they can do about the lack of selection. If you are looking for apparel, I would head over to the store on Cass where they have a much larger selection. If you are just in the neighborhood and are looking to get a new pair of the latest shoes here, you can’t go wrong!

Manager was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. As part of the fitting process, the store conducted a gait analysis to better ascertain which type of shoes would be most suitable

Store only carries the top end running shoes from a number of manufacturers to include Ascic, Brooks, Nike and others. Prices that were observed start at $ 80,00 and go up
I very good and informative purchasing experience. Definitely will use this store again.
Oh and the store has a loyalty program where if you buy a certain punt of product over a period of time, you will receive a free pair of shoes. Especially relevant for those putting a lot of miles on their shoes on a regular basis.

Finally convinced that a balanced workout includes both weight lifting AND cardio, I decided to add indoor running to my workout regimen. A coworker recommended Peak Performance because of their knowledgeable staff and wide array of shoes based on a personalized running/​walking analysis. The staff at Peak Performance didn’t disappoint and although the Brooks they recommended are fugly, they are comfortable and has helped in my introduction to the sport of running.
