This place was like any other piano bar. The one thing I really didn’t like was there was a $ 10 cover charge here. On top of that we got here at around 11 on a Friday and they failed to tell us the pianos would stop playing at midnight. So we ended up paying $ 10 for cover and then they stopped playing an hour later. The only saving grace was we could get into the munch bar next door for free.

Great place to spend a night with a spouse and friends. Great pianists! Still far from New Orleans level but great progress for Bellevue lifestyle

After I found the secret passage way from being at Munch Bar. It was actually a good place to go if you are done with the crowd at Munch Bar and want to go chill and relax with your friends. Music was waaay better on this side on a Friday night. Maybe it’s cause I do enjoy piano music. :D You can still dance on this side too. Less people, if you’re not shy about being the only one dancing, why not just dance here! I say go for it!

Not exactly sure if I should count this under munch bar or piano bash, but we held our event space in the Piano bash area. I had an event at the Munch Bar/Piano Bash Tuesday Dec. 13th for my Team of 80 people. It was a holiday themed party and a co-worker and I had to plan for this basically with in a week. With that in mind the feedback I have reflects accordingly. Food: The food was spectacular. Compliments to the chef 100%! Our menu was not super extensive and appetizer focused, but nothing but compliments. If you haven’t been here and very iffy about it I suggest you go. Try out the Macaroni n’ cheese balls, popcorn chicken(SUPERJUICY), and any of their variety of sliders and you will be hooked! Venue: They were nice enough to let us add some holiday decorations, and it was the perfect amount of space to accomplish what we needed for the team. It feels really casual and really allowed people to let loose and enjoy their time. Entertainment: We had one pianist who was just fantastic. Great singer and player, and the team loved him. He was nice enough to come in last minute on an off day, and dress up as Santa Clause for us. Thank you thank you thank you!!! :D Staff: Leilani and her team were so kind and accommodating. There were a couple communication issues here and there, but they helped us pull a great event in one weeks time. The waitresses were always seen and taking drink orders, and the food was constantly refreshed. Overall we look forward to working with them again, and working out all of the kinks from the last event. I recommend that everyone should try this place at least once. Especially if you have one or both of the piano players in house performing!

We were visiting friends in Bellevue and they took us here on a Friday night. We got there after 9 so we had to pay the $ 10 cover(pretty pricey if you ask me). The tables were all full so we stood for a bit trying to decide if we should ask for our money back and leave and finally got a table. By 11:30 the place had cleared out though. I was surprised it was so empty on a Friday night. The guys on the«pianos» were really talented and it was entertaining and fun – they even played our requests. It was a great place to go to on a Friday night but I’d recommend getting there early to avoid the cover. Also, it’s insanely loud so don’t plan on having a conversation with anyone you’re with. :P

Amazingly talented piano players! We got there early to grab a table, avoid the cover, and have some dinner, which was a good call(although the food is Munchbar food, which isn’t exactly gourmet… tasty but greasy). Nice beer selection. My waitress brought the wrong drink, but when I mentioned it to her she gave me the mistake one for free and quickly brought the one I had ordered, which I appreciated. Moral of the story: SOMUCHFUN.

Jake Ivory’s this is not. It’s a relatively small space for dueling pianos, especially the set up they had when I went. Both pianos where in the middle of the bar while there was a huge platform/stage unused. Made for not a lot of tables to sit at. The performers were great and a lot of fun to watch. Good times.

The piano players are fantastic and that part of the bar is great! Really fun to dance and sing along with them. BUT they REALLY need to hire more servers! Our 1 waitress seemed to be covering ½ of the bar by herself. We got there super early and the place was pretty empty, but it still took about 45 minutes before she came by to get our first drink order.(and that was after we went to the bar to ask them to send her over!). After waiting another hour and still no sign of her again(we wanted to order food) we finally just started ordering at the bar. The waitress saw us and said What the F#@K to us, but we were thirsty and hungry and told her so! She did get better after she saw her tip money going to the bar instead of to her pocket. I think the owners need to realize that they would make a ton more money if they could actually get drinks and food to the people!

Piano Bash is an excellent spot to unwind from a busy work week. An awesome Dueling Piano show, with three very talented pianists and singers, along with very friendly wait staff, makes a night at Piano Bash a great experience. The only reason I don’t give this place a full 5⁄5 stars is that some of the time, the crowd can be somewhat ‘closed off’ from truly being social with others. However, that is FAR from saying that this happens every time. The atmosphere that Piano Bash provides really opens up people and makes the experience that much more fun. The hosts, the talent, and the staff makes a night at Piano Bash a really inviting and fun time. The awkward combination of great bar music that everyone can request and sing-a-long too along with the Techno-infused Munch Bar is something that always struck as weird. I’m not entirely sure how such a combination came to be — but they are two very different groups separated by a sound proof door. Having the two bars share the bathroom in between is pretty amusing. On one side, you see a pretty varied group of folks, a wide range of ages, cultures, and people. On the other side, you have spiked hair(ala New York style), fake tans, tight dresses, the club typical. Still, it offers a bit of something for anyone. Not a bad spot to go with friends or with a girlfriend/boyfriend who may want a combination of a true bar and an opportunity to dance. Either way, Piano Bash is a really fun place to take part in. However, be warned, I recommend getting there early, as getting seating can be difficult after around 9PM. Also, getting there early allows you to avoid the cover charge at the door. PROS: — Great Dueling Piano Show — Great Wait Staff — Open and Sociable crowds. — Munch Bar is right next door, and if you pay cover, you can go to either/or. — Fun Bar Music CONS: — Seating can be difficult — Cover Charge(if you don’t get there early) — Can get a bit crowded — Parking Can be a Pain.

The music is great and so are the entertainers. Super talented and amazingly, they are able to sing almost any song that gets thrown their way if it’s terrible song(like Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber). Awesome rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. So why only two stars?! Terrible customer service. The first time we went some called and made reservations, but when we got there, no reservations. Chalk it up to miscommunication, but when it happens a second time the following week especially after two people confirm with you… I start to wonder what the hell is going on. And the only explanation you get is sorry… but there’s a big note on the the reservation that says NOMORERESERVATIONS. Pretty rude. Wait staff is slow and it is impossible to get a drink after your first round. There’s really a good place to stand if you don’t have a reservation or if your reservation disappears. So I would suggest going early(before 9pm), But I am going to reconsider going there again until they figure out if they want customers to come back.

Excellent entertainment and so unique. The two pianists are unbelievable(better entertainers than Billy Joel, Elton John etc. in my opinion). The shaved head pianist with earings looks out of place at a piano at first, but is great. The service at the front is so-so, and one of the bouncers thinks like he has to prove how gruff he is every 15 minutes or else people won’t believe that he can kick their ass. Cover charge is cheap for the entertainment, and at late night, you can move to the dancing area next door, which was really packed when we went(on a Friday).

So… I liked this place because the music was awesome and they really make you sing with them and interact with the pianists — so you should come with song ideas in mind! 2 pianists play at the same time — pretty cool to see and very very lively! There are peanuts all over the floor, so don’t wear sandals unless you want pieces of peanuts stuck between your toes! The downside is that their drink list is small, so don’t go expecting terrific drinks unless you drink wine — -also their food menu, although tempting, is not at all healthy, rather fried! Give it a try, I mean you can park easily in the mall and walk over.

My enthusiasm for this place was quickly trumped by the off-putting customer service. We were ID’d by the hostess as we entered and were guided to a table. We were surprised when our waitress ID’d us again 30 seconds later. When I suggested that we had already been ID’d, she curtly snapped that [she] «needs to see your IDs, now.» When she inquired about our drink order, I asked to see a menu. She rolled her eyes, turned to the table next to us, and snatched the menu off the other table tossing it my way. …what a way to start the evening. The musicians were decent and a few songs were quite enjoyable until we were distracted when the folks who sat down at a table nearby were berated for having seated themselves. Mind you, I watched as they were ID’d and let in by the bouncer, with no instruction regarding seating. A few suggestions for the new location: –Place«Please Wait to be Seated» signs at both entrances — then you won’t have to yell at your customers –Put enough faith in your bouncers and hostess to trust that they have properly ID’d folks who are sitting at tables –Finally, and this goes for restaurants everywhere, wait staff should avoid the low-rise jeans + short shirt combo. Tramp-stamps are a real appetite killer.

In an attempt to check out Munchbar on a Friday night(see my Munchbar review on 2⁄13 for details), we snuck in through Piano Bash to avoid the super long line outside of Munchbar. Thank goodness we did! What an awesome piano bar! There were two piano players playing together and singing songs requested by the audience. The stash of cash on top of each piano would explain the incredible talent both piano players had this particular night! They were fantastic! I literally heard one pianist play Give Me that *** by Easy E. These two pianists played and sang anything and everything requested by the audience in such a creative, fun and entertaining way. The Munchbar crowd overflowed into Piano Bash at times but you’ll definitely see a difference in crowds between the two sides, this one having a more mature, polished and clothes-wearing crowd vs. the Munchbar side where the absolute goal for the female population was to be as naked as possible. The décor and service at Piano Bash was also great! 4 stars for the Piano bar though it would have received 5 if there was no $ 10 cover charge. Great addition to the Eastside!

I decided to check this place out after work on Friday. We were there around 7:30 and we had no issues getting a table, although the place was totally packed by 9 and I could see why! The musicians are very talented! Looking around the crowd, if they weren’t singing they were at least smiling! The place is weirdly situated in a parking garage at Bellevue Square, but every table has a bucket of peanuts for snacking and you can drop the shells right on the floor!!! I was thoroughly entertained! Dueling pianos + peanut shells on the floor = refreshing addition to downtown Bellevue! Pros: VERY entertaining Peanuts! Loud(awesome for singing along!) Cons: The drinks were pretty expensive for what they were Limited food selection Loud(bad place to try and have a conversation with friends)

First off, I have to say that I love dueling piano bars, and I always wanted one on the Eastside so I was thrilled to find they opened one in downtown Bellevue. The place was pretty happening, and the players were decent enough. I’ve heard better but the mood was fun, and the place was clean. It was also pretty big which was nice — the one gripe I always had about Chopstix was it’s so small and you end up cramming everyone in. I came early from Munch bar next door so I don’t know if they ended up charging cover or anything later.

This is now my first ro-deo cowboy. I’ve been to piano bars in Orlando, Long Beach, Kansas City, etc. First, I felt they could have been bawdier. Second, I requested The Girl from Ipanema, and they didn’t know it. But rather than say they didn’t know it, they just ignored my request and took my dollar. It was okay as piano bars go, but definitely you felt like the two piano players were different genres. One was very rock and the other was pop. Which is fine because it does give you excellent coverage for all types of music. But there wasn’t much dueling as jamming along. Just my $.02.
