I prefer this location over the one in Seattle. No change in food quality, but this location is less crowded and parking is free. Each time we’ve came here, we never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be seated. Though the service may not be consistently on point, the food is. It is a little bit pricey for the portions given, but the seafood is good and fresh none the less.

Whow. This place is amazing. Totally unfortunate the parking is currently under construction and a little confusing to get to. Totally worth the drive out. Beautiful views. Awesome wait staff. There was not an edible piece of food left on or table when we were done.

I took my friends from out of country to this place on Monday 12⁄21. The price for the meal is expensive and most of the staff was very well peppered which made it difficult to taste the actual flavor. Drinks on the other hand are very good priced. Again for the price you pay, I could only give a 3* for this place, sorry. I have been here before, and tend to believe that service and food quality was better.

The construction that is going on around the area makes it SO hard to find this place! I circled around twice before I was able to get into the plaza. The interior is very old and the restaurant definitely needs some updating. Our server was very friendly and prompt. We got the king crab for two and 2 dishes of the fist. Was not at all impressed with the fish or veggies, but the king crab was very good! I liked the corn that came with it, but the potatoes were very bland and had a weird texture. This place is pretty overpriced. We paid over $ 180 for 3 people. Will try to find something better.

My first time ever eating at the crab pot was at the Bellevue location. It was dark outside so I didn’t get too see much of the design of the place but from what I could tell it was on a little lake. I thought that was pretty cool and added to the seafood feel of the restaurant. My friend and i wanted to try the plate where they dump a bunch of shellfish on the table. It turns out you have to order at least two options– the cheapest was $ 20/person, so it was about average price for a restaurant since we didn’t need appetizers or anything. The food was pretty good, a little dry but I like my shellfish steamy and… Not dry? Maybe it was just the way they cooked it. Anyway, the food was good and it definitely filled us up. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed food stop(where you can laugh about the corn that will be stuck between your teeth). It’s a chill atmosphere, not sure if I would consider it «romantic» date material but definitely a fun place to eat some seafood.(Not to mention you get to wear those bibs they always show in the movies which I was thrilled about)

I have been in Crab Pot two times, and if you have a group with you and like crabs and seafood than this becomes a must place to try their Crab! Crab! Crab! dish at least once. It was a bit pricey, but I would sorry if I couldn’t afford it :) The one in Bellevue is not as crowded as in Seattle and is located in the beautiful water view as well. The experience in Seattle was worse as they packed us in a very crowded hall, while there were other empty ones.

We just left after having a very disappointing and expensive dinner at this restaurant. We are visiting from another state, my husband was craving clam chowder, and we have our 8 month old with us… having a baby in tow gave us limited options, but their website said they are kid friendly(most of the other seafood restaurants nearby in Bellevue were not kid friendly), so we decided to give it a try. First red flag, their parking lot was flooded in a couple areas making it hard to park, when we walked in the door there were 3 young girls at the hostess station, one girl asked us how many were in our party and then she just stood there waiting for the other hostess to get off the phone so she could be told where to seat us(we were then asked for the second time how many people were in our party)…meanwhile, the third hostess was hunched down near the ground on her cell phone, obviously trying to hide what she was doing. We were greeted promptly by our server, who was very friendly and we could tell was genuinely kind and doing his best. Unfortunately, he started to get overwhelmed(we counted him having 8 tables when we left) and he forgot part of our order. When we asked about it, it took awhile for it to come out, and he gave us an amount smaller than what we ordered… Our review of the food: my husband’s salmon tacos were very bland and they came with stale tortilla chips, I ordered the crab cakes(2 for $ 15) and they were the diameter of a can of soda and were obviously frozen, not fresh. My husband described the clam chowder as «worse than what you get out of a can at the grocery store». Our bill was $ 41…way overpriced. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of our server… otherwise, don’t waste your money here!

First of all, NOT restaurant’s fault, but super road construction projects make it difficult to get to this place. Next: Drain, pumps or something must not be working. Parking lot SWAMPED with water. 30 foot long, 2″ deep puddle plus lots of big patches of mud. I’m disabled — had to go up lots of steps to get inside(or walk thru the 30 foot puddle to reach the ramp). Then when I got up the steps to the inside. more stairs to go UP, then down again… and steps to the bathroom too. Steps not my favorite with difficulty walking. Now: THESMELL! YUK! Smelled like mildewed, musty, moldy rotten wet. With a hint of bleach to top it off. What the heck happened? The lake must have flooded the place. I would have left, the smell was so GAGACIOUS. But dining with 7 friends, so I stayed. PRICES and FOOD: Expensive for lunch. The«lunch specials» in the $ 14 to $ 17 range. One gal had the Clam chowder, did not like it. Another had Salmon chowder, said it was«okay»(had large chunks of fish, but broth was«thin»). Fish and chips«okay». My Salmon burger was«good»(not great). Our service was nice, very cute, pleasant waitress. But I almost died from the awful smell. Looking at the menu, noticed that dinner prices were SOOO expensive… Don’t think I will be back, unfortunatly. Last time I was here(12 or so years ago) I liked it.

Food was a B. Nothing special, but to be kind, let’s give them a B grade. Service was a B, again nothing special, but the guy was generally friendly and brought stuff on time. Problems: — Super Expensive for what you get. Compared to the Boiling Crab places down in California, those are way, way better value. Way to expensive, did I say that yet? — Outdoors dining tables are next to plenty of heaters. Guess what? Those heaters ‘are decorative’ and don’t work! Dear Mgmt… this is Seattle, not Tucson… it gets brisk here in the evening!!! I would absolutely not recommend. The Boiling Crab places down in Cali are super crowded till close… this place had plenty of tables at 8pm… now you know why.

The crab pot in Bellevue is so much nicer than the one in Seattle. The one in Seattle I can understand though because it is very touristy & they get so many people coming in and out. Unlike the sticky tables & smell of straight up fish. Like in Seattle, Bellevue is quite nice & clean, no terrible fish smell, & it’s not crowded at all. Well at least when I went there around 3pm on a Monday. I love crab pot though it’s always good, I just recommend take the longer drive to Bellevue to visit the crab pot there!

My friends took me here when I visited them. I was looking forward to the seafood so badly. We got the Westport combo and grilled salmon. The salmon was cooked properly. But the seafood of Westport was not that fresh. We didn’t like the service. My friend’s husband was going to get mahi mahi taco but he decided to get the grilled salmon instead so we could share that together. The waitress forgot to cancel that order so we told her again when she served the taco and she gave us the bad attitude. But she even spilled the ice and water on us before serving the food. We might not go back again since the food and service didn’t reach our expectations.

Oddly enough, this is one of the few places I’ve found(in the metro that boasts the #1 seafood port in the country) to get down on some crab legs. With that said, they do a pretty good job. Been to both the Seattle and this location and both are consistently good. Simplicity. Butcher paper, crab, potatoes and corn… Clams, shrimp, etc… are also offered but I come for the crab. I wouldn’t be able to make a great argument as to how different Crab Pot is from say a… Joe’s crab shack but for crab legs, as I mentioned, this is what you get for the area. You will SPEND. Don’t be surprised. It’s crab. But you’ll enjoy it. Throw it a few beverages and you’ll enjoy it even more.

Seafood buckets thrown on your table for your pleasure. Nothing beats hammering through a few crab legs with a side of shrimp, clams, mussels, potatos, sausage and corn on the cob. I’ve seen groups celebrating anything from weddings to prom. There is ample space to park, many tables and seating options as well as a bar area. For those thay don’t like seafood, the burgers and chicken platters are just as excellent. Must try it if you are in the area.

We brought a friend from out of town to the Crab Pot last night for some real Seatle seafood and it turned out to be a great choice. The experience of hammering the King Crab and picking through the mix for all of your favorite things is what makes the experience so enjoyable. There is something about an interactive meal that really allows for a great time. We ordered 2 Alaskans and 1.5 lbs of King Crab. Between 3 people we were more than satisfied and could barely finish. Because it was such a beautiful day we opted for a seat outside, but it became rather chilly once the seating area was shaded(around 6pm) so it would have been nice to have some optional outdoor heaters. I do wish that the most expensive bucket meal would have had oysters, but I can’t complain about the 2 types of crab, clams, muscles, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage!

We usually only come here for my mom’s birthday, because for some reason hammering crab and eating seafood with her hands is fun for her. haha. I recently came here a few weeks ago, it’s probably my 3rd time coming here. I’ve noticed that they changed their potatoes, from the tiny red potatoes to GIANT red potatoes. It’s one of those moments where you’re just questioning yourself on what to do with the potato. I couldn’t figure out a good reason for them to change the serving size of potato, but at least they could put less potatoes in it compared to before… Also, I noticed that the food was lacking. We have 7 people, and it seems like 2 servings(per person) doesn’t fill us up anymore. Last year, when we came here, it made us at least satisfied, but for some reason, the seafood seems to be lacking now. IMO. The price for the amount of stuff we get, is not worth it. Even if it’s to experience the hammering of crabs or the ability to use our hands to eat, I wouldn’t come here, other than to make my mother happy.

Great place near an artificial lake. It’s not fancy and it is great so you can feel comfortable in getting your hands dirty and having fun with your friends. The Alaska crab is delicious!

The only time I had an outstanding service the it was when a waiter called Sonny was working there. Other than that is have been always ok. However, last time my husband and I were there, it was so bad we had to walk out and leave the restaurant. We both were in Bellevue driving separately doing different stuff and decided to get together for dinner. He got there first and there was not table, so he waited for me in the bar. The host said it would take 5 minutes for him to be seated. He ordered a beer and waited for me. I got there 10 minutes later, which makes his wait 1around 15 minutes. No one was around and when I went to look for someone I saw 5 opened booths!!! We asked the host and she apologize and asked a waitress to assist us. The waitress apologize and gave the excuse that there were a party of 10 people there and they were extra busy. We seated and she said she would be right back to us in a minute. We kept seeing her back and forth with checks, food, bread and did not even look at us!!! So after exactly 12 minutes we got to upset that we just walked out and when we were paying the beer, the waitress came and started doing gestures like she was so surprised why we were walking out? I just waived to her like, don’t bother, nevermind… The sad things is that I LOVE seafood and the way the serve it is very unique and fun. But it is not worthy the trouble going there for this reason. I had the craving of returning there many times, but as soon as I remember that horrible experience my craving soon run away…

Crab Pot is all about the spectacle. Bib, mallet and your own personal board to smash your crab on. That and the unveiling — all your food gets dumped right onto the table and you go at ‘er. The last two times I was in Seattle, we went to the downtown Crab Pot location and while the food was decent, I wouldn’t describe it as being good. On my most recent trip, we went to the Bellevue location and I definitely noticed a decline in the food — either that or Vancouver eats spoiled me rotten. We went on a Friday evening and the restaurant was busy. Lots of families and dates going on. We were hungry from a day of outlet shopping(love ‘murica for that) so we ordered: — 2x The Westport($ 27.95/person) — at least two people must order in order to indulge in the Seafest options. Those are the rules. I’ve had it before and sadly, it was very disappointing. A mixture of dungeness and snow crab, shrimp, steamed clams, mussels, andouille sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. Their spice mix doesn’t get mixed into all of the seafood resulting in some pretty bland bites. The potatoes were bland, the corn overcooked, I can go on and on. For $ 28 per person, you should be getting quality seafood, especially in Seattle! Brutal. Sorry Crab Pot but you’re terrible. The gimmick of being able to smash your crab legs is over. — Wild alaskan salmon fillet($ 17.95) — the salmon was lightly seasoned and came with a side of vegetables and rice(choice of potatoes, rice or fries). This dish was much better than the Westport. Not much else to say other than I won’t be back anymore. Too many other good eats to try in Seattle, especially when you factor price and quality into the conversation.

I went to the Bellevue Crab Pot and found it to be less of a «tourist» spot to eat. I have been to both restaurants plenty of times and the Bellevue Crab Pot is definitely more consistent with flavor, service, and overall quality of food. I would recommend people coming to this spot over the downtown location any day! The restaurant feels a bit more of a dining experience rather then a rushed meal like the Seattle Crab pot is. All of the times I have been to the Bellevue location it’s not nearly as packed and you don’t have to watch hundreds of people constantly come in and out. There is also no crazy line like the other location gets. The downside that I always have at this location is that the soda is either super flat or really watery tasting. The clam chowder is nice and thick and has always come out super hot. The calamari pieces are super thick strips which I like, compared to the typical thin pieces. The fish and chips are nicely breaded and not too greasy or soggy. As for the shared seafood feasts my friends and I usually get the Westport and if we are really feeling like crab we add the crab, crab, crab. The seasonings of the seafood feasts are a lot heavier then the Seattle location. I prefer it to be flavorful so I didn’t mind. My personal favorite is the shrimp, andouille sausage, and the red skin potatoes! A tip if you go there: Ask for their Aioli sauce. It’s super flavorful and taste good with almost everything!
