I started getting massages with Molly when I was 5 months pregnant. This was my second pregnancy and I had not been satisfied with various prenatal massages I had received with other practitioners with my first pregnancy(some of them very expensive). Either the pressure was insufficient in the side lying position or I felt faint when they positioned me on my back. Molly patiently listened to my concerns(I never felt rushed), checked in with me during my massage, made sure I was comfortably positioned with bolsters and pillows, and I always felt significantly better after I saw her. After my first visit, I went ahead and purchased an 8 massage package, which made the prices particularly reasonable. She is a solo practitioner, which makes it a little harder to schedule with her, but if you schedule with her each time before you leave, she will try her hardest to get you in to a mutually agreeable time. And that she is so popular is an indication of how her skills are valued. I am now into my first 4 pack of post natal massages at her new location behind the Coast hotel in Bellevue off 116th Ave and I have a new challenge of trying to lie facedown due to breastfeeding issues. Thankfully, we have managed to get around that, again with padding. i would agree with the other poster that said all pregnant moms should treat themselves to a massage with Molly Peebles at the Joyful Tulip. Pregnancy can be a miserable experience at time, but Molly was so helpful in obtaining some relief. Highly recommended!

Today I had a 90 minute prenatal massage with Molly and it was wonderful! I feel so relaxed and at the same time energized by it. She found some areas I didn’t know were tense and really worked them out. I was so relaxed I drooled the entire time. I am hoping to get back there for another massage before I deliver. All pregnant moms should treat themselves to a prenatal massage. It is so worth it!

Pros: Molly is attentive with very purposeful hands. Cons: Need to book weeks in advance Molly of Joyous Tulip was recommended to me by a neighbor. After looking for a massage therapist close to home(Bellevue), Molly is my girl. She is attentive to my needs and any changes that has taken place since the last visit. Her specialty is prenatal massages, but I’m not pregnant so when I initially went to see her I wasn’t sure if she could help me with my issues(which are more sport-related and posture in the neck and upper back area). It turns out she’s a therapist that can address my issues. What I mean by «purposeful hands» is that she can press firmly or lightly and it’s not just willy nilly grazing over your skin. Every touch is purposeful. Her fee is reasonable and comparable to other massage therapist, however, if one was to buy multiple packages, then there are bundled discounts. On a side note, she’s totally down to earth and calming, without the weird granola/tree-hugging vibe that I’ve encountered before. There are weird therapists out there, from people who tell me about my aura to those sweating and grunting during the session.
