I never knew how good a cupcake could be. We had a sleep over for my daughter’s birthday. She invited three other girls and my wife had ordered several cup cakes. They were all gone in no time. This doesn’t usually happen. We usually buy a cake or something like that and after everyone has too much the left over quarter or half is finally trashed three days later. The reason was that the cupcakes were excellent. Not just excellent — incredible. They were so good that I’m mad I’ve been made to eat anything else before. The person behind the counter was all business. No charm there. But when ordering she didn’t ask mom what 10-year old daughter wanted she addressed the 10 year old directly and professionally. That’s nice too. I appreciate someone talking to my kid like she’s an intelligent human being… because she is.

Great cupcakes. The bakery makes a limited supply of cupcakes with european buttercream icing every day. Cake as it should be… fresh. Why other bakeries in Cincy think they can freeze cake and sell as fresh is beyond me… and thankfully also NOT something this bakery does. Here, fresh means fresh. Good for them.

I love Three Tiers! I recently threw a party for my partner and ordered 2 dozen cupcakes. The owner was willing to make exactly what I wanted, and the cupcakes were a huge hit. I am hoping to purchase my wedding cake from Three Tiers. I can definitely understand why some reviewers feel like the service isn’t friendly enough. However, the only time I have had sort of. curt service was when there was only one person working. Anytime I go in when there are multiple people there I feel very very welcome. I suppose I try to be understanding of the small business owner who has an extremely full plate.

I’m glad I didn’t read any of the reviews before I came into this place, because I wouldn’t have wanted to walk in already thinking negatively about the owner. She was friendly to me when I explained that I was new to the area and answered a lot of the questions I had about Fairfield Ave businesses. As for the cupcakes, they were pretty good. I had a red velvet and my fiancé had white macadamia nut. Not as good as my other favorite cupcake place in N. Ky, but I’ll probably stop in again at some point if I’m walking through Bellevue.

I had bought a coupon off of Living Social for this bakery(a dozen cupcakes for $ 10). Having sampled cupcakes from this place at a party before, I knew the top notch quality I was going to get! Speaking with the owner over the phone was fine, and even picking up the cupcakes in person, she seemed nice enough. Honestly, the cupcakes are so delicious(I got countless compliments on them!), I wouldn’t care if the owner was the meanest person in the world, I’d still order more!

Angela at Three Tiers is wonderful! We have gotten numerous cakes and cupcakes from her over the last year. Everytime we see her she remembers us and greets us warmly. Everyone loves her cakes at all our parties and we recommend her to all our friends nearby. Her wedding cakes are the best, and she provide photos of many of her creations to browse at the shop. She’s become renowned as a cupcake queen and we’ve started to get her delicious cupcakes for events. Amazingly, she also does vegan cakes and cupcakes, and they are to die for. You’ll never guess they were vegan… don’t tell your guests since they won’t be able to tell the difference. Highly recommended for cakes and cupcakes for birthday, wedding, anniversary, schools, church and any other reason.

I took my Little Sister(with big brother big sisters) to Bellevue on a Saturday afternoon with the plan to buy cupcakes at Three Tiers and walk to Mrs. Potts Teashop to get a pot of tea and eat our cupcakes. Note — being a paying customer at both locations. We walked into Three Tiers, and the owner was frosting a cake. She ignored us for several minutes, and then told us to wait because she was busy. The owner of Mrs. Potts is the mother of the owner of Three Tiers. I had read this in the paper, so when we bought our cupcakes, I asked if there would be a problem with us taking the cupcakes to her mother’s restaurant as long as we were buying food/drinks at Mrs. Potts. I really didn’t expect a no answer — I only asked because I thought it would be polite. The Three Tiers owner was really rude and said, «No, not if you bought them here, you can’t take them in my mother’s shop. Don’t you see how busy she is today?» She must have seen the look of shock on my face, because she then said, «I guess I could call my mom and ask her. No one has ever asked that before.» The look on her face was just sheer annoyance. … I said, «No thanks, don’t bother» and we walked out, taking our cupcakes to the Bellevue Bistro where we ordered hot chocolate and fruit cups and ate our cupcakes in style. I don’t even remember what the cupcakes tasted like. I’m sure they were fine. However, the service was atrocious. Someone should reminder the owner of Three Tiers that politeness and friendliness go a long way in this economy. She has lost my business for good — as well as Mrs. Potts. Perhaps this is a good place to pick up a cake — but heaven help you if you need to deal with the owner. No thanks, lady.

This past weekend, my family threw my dad a surprise birthday party. I had heard about Three Tiers through some friends and decided to check it out. I had been to her Facebook page and website and loved all of her designs. My dad loves golf so we ordered a carrot cake, his fav, with cream cheese icing. The owner Angela is the creative expert so I gave her full reign to do what she wanted as far as the gold motif went. It turned out awesome! It was a long rectangular fairway with the tee boxes on one end and the hole on the other. The flag had his age on it and a small sign on the side read happy birthday. Everyone at the party raved about the cake. She even put pineapple in the carrot cake, something I had never had before. It was delicious and everyone was talking about it. I would definitely have Three Tiers do my next cake!
