I loved this place from the moment I walked in their door. They have so many different variations of tea and if you’re not up to taking some home with you, they’ll gladly make you a(hot or cold) cup to go. The prices are great and they always have something new to try. They also have an oil and balsamic tasting with different flavors. Not being a vinegar person, I do love balsamic and their black walnut or fig balsamic vinegars will blow your mind as well as the asiago oil. Amazing. They also have those honey sticks that you can put into a cup of tea, only they have some pretty neat flavors like Amaretto or Caramel, etc. I had a problem just eating the honey before I could get it in some tea, but hey, I’ll be back. If you haven’t been before and are in need of great spices, teas, coffee, oils/vinegars, accessories for any of this, etc… then you need to check them out!

Thyme Square is where I get all my spices and rubs for my cooking needs. Great little shop with teas, coffees, spices, a few medicinal herbs, etc. plus tea supplies like teapots, strainers, etc. A very nice cozy place.

One of my favorite spots in Bellevue. A small, family run tea and spice shop, they have every kind of tea I can think of and it’s been fun trying new flavors. They have an amazing spice selection as well, and even though I don’t cook much, it’s very convenient when a recipe calls for a «pinch» of something I don’t have. You can literally go in and tell them you need a «pinch» of a spice and they will sell you as much or as little as you need. The family that owns Thyme Square is friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They love the place and make everyone feel welcome inside. I’ve spent plenty of time sipping tea and just talking with whoever is working. They also have events and contests going on all the time, so make sure to ask about them when you stop by!

It’s thyme for you to go here! I love little shops like this that are often overlooked by the general public. I found out about this place during Unilocal Shops Local back in Nov and Dec 2011. As soon as I walked in I saw a man playing a guitar and lots of people buzzing around looking at all the cool(and HOT) spices that line the walls. I chatted with the owners and found them to be very informative and nice. If only more places could have staff that awesome… I bought a few spices(some really really hot pepper type stuff) and couldn’t wait to use them in some dishes. I’ll be back once my spices run out, and with as good as they are, it will be sooner than later.

I’m only recently getting into cooking(and still, it’s more of a light interest over something that I really do.) However, when I saw there was a store full of spices, I had to check it out. Usually when I go and check out spices, I go to Colonel De at Findlay Market, and his stand is the best. However, this place is indeed equally awesome! A collection of spices and herbs and more dish kick-ups from all over the world. I’d be amazed if they didn’t have something that you were looking for. The staff is so damn nice as well! Ask them about making a dish or how to enhance something you’re working on or where to get this one flavor and they know all about it and how to help you out. This store is also worth checking out if you’re not looking for spices. They’ve got some neat gifts for the cooks in your life. Plus, a beverage bar where you can get things like jalapeño hot chocolate(which I did not get, but dammit, I will next time after reading some of these reviews!) This shop was awesome. It looked nice, it smelled nice, it was nice. Check it out.

Spices! Spices! Everywhere! And even a drop to drink! Spices never really«expire» per say, but they do lose their potency. According to McCormick ground spices last two to three years, whole spices last three to four years, seasoning blends last one to two years, herbs last one to three years, and extracts last four years. That probably means that there are a few spices in your cabinet that need to be replaced. Swing by Thyme Square and they will help you refill your spice cabinet and more! The staff is extremely helpful, but they aren’t in your face if you’re just browsing. If you don’t find any spices then you may need to stop by their beverage bar and try a tea or habanero hot chocolate before you leave.

Tons of Teas and Spices! I know, you probably had NO idea that’s what this place is right? But it was nice, big selection here. They were super nice and mentioned they can make any combo you might be interested in, and even help with a recipe you might be dreaming of! They also had a lot of random giftables, perfect for the holiday season! I grabbed a chili mix and some dill. You really can’t ever have enough dill right? Prices are fair, and wonderful staff. I’ll be back for sure!

Spicy! I saw Hot Chocolate with habanero on the outdoor chalkboard and had to have some. As I opened the door my eyes were quickly drawn to all the spices lined along the walls. There was an acoustic guitarist singing and lots of people crammed into this cozy store. I bought the hot chocolate and chatted with the owners. The lady described how they grow most of the spices on her daughter’s farm. I love when I can buy local and not support a mega corporation. Of course I then bought a few of the spice packets and can’t wait to use them in the kitchen. The hot chocolate was really spicy. My husband and I have high heat tolerances and the drink was too spicy for us. I would probably caution anyone else from trying it. I would assume that in warmer months there is outdoor seating, and I can’t wait for that as well. When my spices run out, I will be back to this place.

Walking into this intimate, yet beautifully designed specialty tea and herb shop –you are immediately greeted with the exotic aromas of their fairly large stock of product. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly and definitely share their passion and expertise with blending with you. They have an affordable selection of unique gifts for the die hard tea conisseur. A great addition to little Bellevue’s eclectic mix of wonderful shops and galleries!

Quaint, affordable and quality are a few words that come to mind when I think of Thyme Square. Colonel de at Findlay Market has been my go to guy for all things herb & spices for years. He will still be my go to for exotic and inspiring flavors; but now I have a local herbalist right down he block for my staples like lavender and pink Himalayan sea salt. Thyme Square is a little mom and pop shop with friendly personal customer service and unusual yet practical gift items. This weekend I got an adorable little individual cocktail infusion kit there. They also sell some sweets and live plants. Like most Bellevue retailers they know everyone in town, and when they learned I was using their lavender for vodka infusions they recommended a local bar I had somehow never heard about that also uses their lavender, as well as rose hips, for vodka infusions.
