Starbucks earned the reputation as a nostalgic landmark in the Seattle area including Bellevue. At Bellevue Square we were greeted by this authentically! The Tully’s fireplace environed guests as did the circle of courtyard seating where you enter the square from the West side. Coffee was always good and it was a good place to meet friends or just people watch. The food was good and the staff was always thoughtful; how hard for them it was in the last days of Tully’s Bellevue Square. I would have been very offended if a Mother nursing her baby here did not exit and retreat her boobs to the restroom at Nordstrom; this is an accommodation not infringing on the rights of others. Thank goodness that Tully’s is known for her coffee, not her baristas who are the same everywhere they do work.

Why go to Starbucks when you have a much better choice. First they have a much better selection of flavors — so Customers can choose — not Corporate. Yes — I can get my Almond Mocha with Sugar Free(or not) Almond. Next — they have real cups — so you can sit down and enjoy it –AND they put a design on the Coffee — showing they are Baristas — not just minimum wage Coffee Makers. Finally they are friendly — have a good choice of snacks and the place is comfortable .and nicely decorated. A coffee place for the people not the robots. Yeah. OH — and the coffee tastes great.

Stopped here in my way to work and was blown away by how delicious the coffee and, more importantly, the coffee cake tasted. Holy cow. Screw Starbucks. The lack of one star was because I’ve been to stand alone stands that are just better.

Very good coffee but maybe because I went half an hour before they were closing, the service was very indifferent, not bad, just with that«i don’t care attitude». I understand it might have been a long day, but also I asked to have my coffee served in a real glass mug(as they show in a poster) and she said ok, but then was in a different type and I asked(more as a joke, that was not that important) why not the glass and she replied ‘that is just a poster’. Ok, so why tell yes when you don’t have it? The location next to the theater is great and the seats are very comfortable and there is a lot of space, plus you can buy some coffee related stuff too, and watch some news. Still I liked my coffee and will come back if in the area again.

Friendly atmosphere and great customer service. They have a nice fireplace type setting that makes you question if you’re in a mall or in a house. Perfect to relax and take a break from all the shopping you might be doing at the mall. They also give you free refills on brewed coffee while you’re in the store.

Great quality coffee, as well as non coffee items. The oreo milkshake is to die for, as long as you don’t look at the nutrition info.

I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. I came in to nurse my daughter — which, may I point out, is perfectly legal — and was treated very rudely by a barista. I wasn’t greeted upon my arrival, and when I went to the counter, I had to stand there and wait close to two minutes for someone to come over. I asked if I could have a cup of ice water and she told me I could have one of the tiny cups of water and that was it. I asked again if I could have a larger cup because I was going to sit down and needed to rehydrate for the sake of nursing, and she snapped at me that I couldn’t have one unless I bought something. I would have bought a drink once I was done feeding my screaming baby, but her attitude turned me off. I took a seat and fed my daughter using my nursing cover and the barista stared at me off and on the entire time, an unfriendly look on her face. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in this Tully’s and I won’t be back. I sent an e-mail to Tully’s customer service and never heard back. They clearly don’t care about their customers. I’ll be taking my business to Starbucks, which not only gives customers free water, but also makes mothers feel welcome to come in and feed their babies.

I have felt the need to update my Unilocal.Although I still do not like their ready to eat foods(other then desserts) their coffee here is simply great. It is hands down better then Starbucks, and this comes from a former Starbucks ASM. Their staff is friendly and personable and I like their rewards program allows you to pay anyway you want.

Love these guys. Super friendly, and they know me well enough by now that all they have to ask is hot or iced. :)

Yes, Tully’s is a little more expensive than Starbucks. Y’know what? I don’t care. I love that they offer matte lattes and have blueberry syrup. This location is comfy with a fire place and leather chairs, and the baristas are very friendly.

Tully’s is pretty good. I thought that their coffee is less bitter than Starbucks. It seems to get a little busy but the line moves fairly fast. They sell some Dean and Deluca candies which are good. It’s a cuite environment with the fireplace and chairs but the setup is a little too crowded to be able to sit and enjoy it.

Not too bad for a $ 5 cup of coffee The coffee was a little bitter, but not as rude as the other patrons in line. Maybe I’m just used to friendly people in the South. It must be the lack of sunshine that turns people into a-holes here…

This is a small Tully’s located on the 2nd floor at Bellevue Square near the parking garage. The staff have always seemed friendly, helpful and patient here. The space is somewhat small, but they did manage to squeeze in some comfy seats and they have some tables and chairs both inside the store and«outside» in the mall too. Why’d we step in here recently? My husband got really irritated at our last Starbuck’s visit because the price of an iced coffee went up $ 2… at Tully’s it’s a much better price for his caffeine fix. My iced mocha was rich and had a good not-to-sweet flavor too. I personally prefer the Tully’s on the first floor under the movie theater just because there seems to be less traffic over there which means my chances of snagging one of those comfy seats is increased, but I do like this one too as perhaps it’s in a more convenient location for shopping!

I use to stop in to this Tully’s almost everyday… but never again. Recently while paying for my coffee I acciendently knocked a small container for cookies on the floor which opened up spilling cookies on the floor next the the register area. Probably the dirtiest place in the store due to everyone placing there order in this spot. I appoligized and offered to buy the cookies and was told no that was okay by the girl helping me, she said it happens all the time. At that moment I happened to look over at the manager who was making my coffee and saw her roll her eyes. Personally I thought that was rude of the manager considering this would not have happened if they didn’t have so much product at the regiser area. I understand the need to create impulse buying, but really! The manager than handed me my coffee with a scowl on her face. The topper to the morning was what I hear as I was walking out the door. The manager told the girl at the register that had been helping me to put the cookies out as samples. I thought maybe she was kidding so I stood out side the door and watched as the manager than took those same cookies and put them out as samples. I couldn’t beleive what I was seeing and was totally discusted. I will let you draw your own conclusion but if they did this once I am sure they do this often and maybe not just with samples.

3.5 stars. This isn’t my favorite place to get coffee, I mean… hello? Starbucks? At the same time, where else can you get gluten free baked goods? I was at friend’s house, and she told me about how Tully’s carries baked goods. She added how they were GLUTENFREE, and I was slightly confused. Later I learned that gluten free products are made with flour without gluten. Cool! I tried half of her gluten free chocolate chip cookie. To my surprise, it was much softer than other cookies that I’ve eaten in the past. It was so crumbly, that I made a complete mess on her kitchen floor. The taste was fine, it was just the texture that bothered me a little bit. I’ve also eaten their gluten free brownie. Also very messy, you need to be prepared with about a dozen napkins to catch all the crumbs. Like the cookie, taste is fine, but texture needs to be worked on. Another time, I came back here to try their drinks. It was the holiday season, which meant limited time offer of drinks. I tried their peppermint shake… it was INCREDIBLE. Basically, it was a milk shake blended with peppermint syrup. It was a creamy white cup of pure deliciousness and sweetness. I haven’t had any of their coffee drinks, but they look pretty typical. I’ll be back for my peppermint shake!

Overall: Not great We decided to pop in on arriving in Bellevue Square yesterday, any excuse for a good caffeine boost. We drooled over the cakes/scones/cookies and eventually went with what looked like a berry danish, a honey and bran muffin, a double macchiato and an ice coffee(no sugar/milk). I went to get us a seat and it took quite a while for our coffees to be made. My partner then told me that they didn’t know what a macchiato was — DESPITE it being on the menu! He had to explain what a macchiato was!!! Yes a double shot of espresso with just a thin layer of milk foam on top. I was shocked. Anyways, we shared the pastry/muffin. The pastry was very unusual — totally different to the danish style pastries I am used to, the pastry itself seemed to have been soaked in syrup, whereas the muffin seems somewhat stale and dry. The coffee yesterday was so smoky, it tasted like they made it from crushed cigarette butts — my other half didn’t drink all of his coffee, cos he said it was far too smokey. I guess it was the blend. I find the problem with Tully’s is that their coffees and cakes etc are so inconsistent. Sometimes it is nice and sometimes it is not. From this experience and due to the lack of consistency, I am sorry to say we will not be going to another Tully’s again. Unless it was for tea! It can’t go that wrong with putting some hottish water in a cup can it?
