Dr. John Beck seen my husband for a broken finger. My husband was told that it was too late to do anything because it was over a month. Dr. Beck said that we should just watch and wait to see if it will heal nicely. My husband was wearing a brace that he bought from Bartells and Dr. Beck said the brace should work okay but he offered a splint he has in his office. We took up his offer not knowing we will be billed for $ 480 for repair of finger + $ 69 for the plastic splint + $ 300 for the office visit. I called the office and told them there was no repair done on my husband’s finger and the billing office insisted that they have billed it correctly and that Dr. Beck did repair my husband’s finger by placing a splint. What? It does NOT take a Medical Professional to apply a splint beside we were billed $ 69 for a plastic splint which they probably bought for about $ 5. We would never go back and I will make sure all my friends are aware of it. If you do choose to go there, I would advise that you inquire about the cost first.

I was referred to Dr. MacLennan at Washington Hand Surgery by my GP. Although I’m sure Dr MacLennan is a fine hand doctor her office had me at my appt an hour early and then still couldn’t see me. It never ceases to amaze me people put up with this. So, if you make an appt. to see the good Doctor please specify to the receptionist on the phone you want an exact time for your appt and have them assure they won’t be too late. There are plenty of good Docs out there; find one whose office personnel takes your time seriously. Sorry Dr. MacLennan, you need to instruct your office staff to be more considerate of your patients time, or better manage yours.
