Poo Entertainment

My friend drops by last night and goes, «I passed this place on the way here. I think it was called Poo Entertainment. We gotta go by there!»
So on our way to some shenanigans, we swing by and there it is. «POO ENTERTAINMENT» in big, red block letters with their phone number.
We peek in and discover it’s a little market and vow to return tomorrow, when the place is open, to investigate.
First thing in the morning I go by there. The girl behind the counter was busy speaking with another woman in Thai, pausing only to ask if she could help us with anything. The place was a few very short aisles of Thai canned goods, trinkets (key chains, figurines, etc), and such with the last aisles looking more like storage for their little office at the back of the room — a desk piled high with papers.
Prices on things were slightly high compared to, say, Ranch 99 or Seafood City, but it looks like a family business, which is always a plus in this big box world. And hey, $ 1.99 bottles of Thai tea.
They also appear to carry DVDs and CDs, which explains the «Entertainment» portion of their name. There’ll be one DVD box, with a stack of rubber-​banded, paper slip-​covered discs behind it. Not sure if they’re renting or selling, or even if the product is bootleg for that matter.
So why «Poo»? Near as I can tell, after scouring the internet, «bpuu» means «crab,» which makes sense with there being one of the little buggers on their light-​up sign outside.
Small business with an unfortunate handle. Maybe they get loads of business from people curious about the name?
