Came here because they open one in whittier. Lines were so long. Came to this location instead. Ordered mild and spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was HORRIBLE. Looks old, taste nasty. I recommend mild chicken. The chicken tenders are delicious. Beans and rice were not good. Yuk. If I come back it would be for chicken tenders only. And staff was friendly.

Second time at this location. Second time they have NO coleslaw??? It’s like going to McDonald’s and them saying their out of fries… Weird right. Stars go to the friendly cashier.

Get the number 7. It comes with chicken tenders(5 pieces, I get mine spicy) and various dipping sauces with a side of mac n cheese and a biscuit. Get an extra biscuit or two! For the dips I get ranch, BBQ, and Buffalo sauce. I like having different dipping options. Don’t get why this place has such terrible reviews. I’ve been here about four times and have yet to have a bad experience. The chicken taste fresh and always served hot. Seeing as how it is fast food, I’m not expecting a gourmet experience. If you have a craving for some fried chicken, this place will satisfy your needs. If you are expecting a life changing experience maybe try another spot! Pros: + Chicken tenders + Biscuits + Drive thru Cons: — Does not have life-altering chicken

I came here to this Popeye’s on April 14 and received the worst fried chicken it was old and had a odor. My mashed potatoes had some Cajun seasonings on it and the French fries were cold. I also visited this same location two week ago and received the same services old chicken and the side were terrible. I spent a lot of money for some old chicken that should have been thrown away. When they first open everything was always fresh and hot. Maybe you guys are under new management because it not worth coming back.

Oh man, this location sucks! Came in for some fresh chicken and sides and boy, oh boy, was I disgusted with this location. Wish I would have went just about anywhere else. Chicken wasn’t crispy or as fresh as it usually is… and we have ordered from this location several times. Got the 11 piece mixed for $ 14.99 and got 4 legs and 4 wings… jipped. No Mac & cheese, no bbq sauce, no Coke machine-it wasn’t working according to the cashier. Thanks, wish you would have told me BEFORE I PURCHASEDTHELARGEBEVERAGE. Ugh…Popeyes’s, get your act together and clean and stock this dump up!!!

On April 5th, 2016 I came here and got the best service that I haven’t received anywhere in a long time! The employees are very courteous and to top it off get your order right, unlike other places.

So yummy, had three chicken wings, mashed potatoe, cole slaw, and biscuits. Everything was super good, order came out quickly despite the large amount of customers there.

This place is amazing I’ve never had a complain. Been here over 20 times and everything has been perfect except for last night they were out of Mac & cheese but it’s ok everything was still really good & they usually have a deal. For 5 $ you get chicken tenders, 2 sides & a biscuit ! Yum!

and yet another Tuesday special! One leg and a thigh for $ 1.49 + tax. I added a regular mashed potato with gravy(if they had a small, I would have gone that way). Cheapest take out lunch ever = $ 3.79 total. Good to know.

The chicken is good. The sides are awesome. The prices are bad. They really need to bring back the $ 5 box. Seems like this one conveniently opened as that promotion ended, and it hasn’t been brought here ever. Drive through service is fairly fast, but in-store service is a bit slow.

Date of visit: January 17, 2015, 2030 hours Wow.and I’m being facetious! I think tonight was an off night for this establishment. There were about eight employees working that night and yet our food took more than half hour to come out. It was too comical watching all these employees working; similar to an overturned turtle trying to get back right-side up! Last time I checked, I thought I went inside a FASTFOOD restaurant to eat. With the amount of time we had to wait to get our food, I could’ve bought a chicken, pluck its feathers, clean it, season it, fry it and eaten it myself. And I still would have had extra minutes to wash my hair! Complaining would not have made things better as everyone else in the restaurant waited the same amount of time as I did, if not, maybe longer. Don’t get me wrong, this is not the first I’ve eaten at a Popeye’s, but first at this location. But I think this is the first where the service was just super bad. Again, maybe it was a full moon out but that’s not an excuse. Let me break down my gripes: –Over half hour wait for a 3pc chicken platter and shrimp po boy platter. –Self service soda fountain machine not working(apparently it was leaking) –When I went up to get my soda at the counter, I told the employee, «Coke, please.» He walked away, takes my cup, then comes back seconds later and asked, «You wanted Coke, right?» –After getting my soda, and being asked and confirmed by the employee, I took a sip only to find out that it was ROOTBEER! –Overheard from the next table of 5: «They cut the strip in half and passed it as a whole.» Needless to say, two of the five walked back up to the counter and complained. In conclusion, I’m not saying that their food is bad. I’m merely stating my experience at the time of visit. Will I ever come back at this location, probably. I like their food but their service was just inexcusable. If you’re in management at this location, please try to make a plan to make things more efficient and expedited. Train employees much better and open the lines of communication with them. That’s my two cents. Enjoy.

HYPECHECK. This Popeye’s is very poorly reviewed, and I’m going to set the record straight: Is this Popeye’s worse than others in a 25 mile radius? No. It is not. Are there any«high quality» Popeye’s locations within a 25 mile radius? On the planet? Probably not. No. I can’t imagine that there are. I often fantasize about something like a «Popeye’s Diner» where you go and you eat Popeye’s food that is freshly made, brought to your table, and so delicious that you’re willing to pay a couple extra dollars more for it. This is not that location of my dreams. My dreams will never come to fruition. I have to live with that. All that said, I had a pleasant enough experience at this location. It’s cleaner, newer, and the employees are cuter than the gas station Popeye’s. The girl taking my order made me smile trying to upsell me on pie. It didn’t get me to buy a pie, but it made me smile, so hey. My chicken was hot, spicy, though it had clearly sat in the hot box for a little too long, it was a touch too dry. My mashed potatoes and my biscuit were perfection. I’ll be back. This is now the closest Popeye’s to me, so I have no choice. I’m sure given more time, the employees here will come to understand that they are not just serving CHICKEN, they are serving HAPPINESS, and thus need to treat every tender juicy piece of murdered birdy happiness with loving care. When that time comes, this Popeye’s will be five stars.

I have attempted to eat here three times, and successfully eaten here twice. If you are lucky enough to snag a parking spot, go inside and the line isn’t 30 deep, and you actually get to eat, good for you. If you want to do drive thru and the line isn’t 20 cars long and you have the time to wait, awesome. My five experiences follow: 1st time — Drive thru line was short. Got my food pretty quickly. Ate my food at work. They gave me unsweetened tea(I wanted sweet) and regular chicken strips(I wanted spicy). Other than that, the food was good. 2nd time — Got the last parking spot, walked in. The line was soooo long and there were no tables. We did not have time for that mess so we left. It took 15 minutes to back out and leave the parking lot due to the horrendously long drive thru line. 3rd time — We couldn’t find parking, so we left. That took forever though, because of the jammed lot — this is seriously the worst parking lot. 4th time — Got the last parking spot. Line wasn’t awful. Ate inside, everything was good, but they were out of sweet tea. Come on Popeye’s, you should never run out of sweet tea. 5th time — Lots of parking! Long line, but not awful. Waited it out, got to the front of the line and was told cash only, their credit card machine was broken. Ughhh neither of us had cash, so we had to leave. I was so excited to have a Popeye’s open up by work, but so far, not reliable or worth it. Good luck, you’ll need it.

Not a review on the food because let’s face it… you should already know what Popeyes taste like or should taste like, just like I’m certain you’ve had McDonalds at some point in your life. These are things our fat American asses should already know. Ok so the service — capital Crappy. As a former fast food worker you learn to become the perfect drive-thru customer. Basically just drive up, don’t be difficult when ordering and always say thank you! Well this appears to be too difficult for them to handle. The drive thru worker sounded like a condescending smart ass. If I’m easy going then how in the hell is she going to handle difficult customers. Buh-bye! Of course they completely messed up my order and couldn’t remember their own damn combo meals; biscuits and side orders were missing… bitch what… yes missing!!! On top of that there were about 10 employees in the drive thru area when I pulled up… How many ding dongs does it require to take an order and pack a meal… apparently more than 10 because my Popeyes order is practically empty. I blame this on management. this sorta mess should’ve been figured out prior to the grand opening. If you had less employees working then maybe they could stop eff’n around and get to work. Side note — this is ultimately my fault for thinking that a Popeyes could exist without ghetto workers. Taking my ass back to the Compton Popeyes where I get the same service but at least all of my food is there!

Grand opening week!!! Daddy wanted chicken so he made me wait in the LONG drive-thru line!!! :( I ordered the family meal with cajun rice, coleslaw, and biscuits… — 12 spicy pieces of chicken(yummy) — Gave me fries(not crispy) instead of rice — Coleslaw was good — Can’t review the biscuits because they FORGOT it!!! :( — Had to pay an extra 25 cents for sauce

It’s okay. Grand opening week. Got spicy 4 piece chicken platter, & spicy chicken strips. Pros: *The fried chicken was crispy, greasy, and juicy. *The seasoned fries were crunchy. *The sweet tea was not too sweet. *Green Beans were good. Cons: *Newbie staff forgot to give me sauce for the strips. *Chicken strips were dry. *Biscuit was salty. *Ghetto customers(including Raiders fans), but that’s expected. *Crummy parking(the type where once you park, you can’t leave because some fukwad decides to go drive-thru and ends up blocking you in and doesn’t have the common courtesy to move, hence, ghetto customers). Overall: It’s over-hyped for a fast food joint. I expect this at IN-N-Out because their stuff has no preservatives(from a fast food perspective). Give it a couple weeks until the ghetto crowd ends up going back to McDonald’s for the dollar menu, and then you can peacefully walk in and get a quick fried chicken for lunch.

I’ve had so much fun during this opening week! We came in right after 10:30am and there were only about 3 of us there. We left a jam-packed restaurant, with a long line for the drive-thru. As expected, the chicken was crispy and tasty! The coleslaw was light and not sickening. The jambalaya/red beans and rice had the right down-south flavor. The biscuits were buttery and way better than KFC’s. Everything washed down well with good ol’ sweet tea! Lots of employees there to help, some scrambling a bit since they just opened. But it was fun to watch them. The ambience was light and clean, with wood paneling and a bright, easy to read interactive menu. Taste, service, cleanliness… I’ll definitely be back. The price was a tad bit higher than the competition but the quality you get is worth it. Lastly, there was a good variety of sauces for every taste… Bbq, blackened ranch, MardisGras mustard, sweet heat, etc. I hope they keep this up!!!
