THISISTHEBESTPIZZAINLA! First of all, the staff is amazing. Family owned business with staff that really care and put their heart and time into their product. It’s all homemade, cheese is from Wisconsin, crust is made in store, pizza sauce is so fresh! The crust is fluffy but crispy, the cheese melts amazingly and the toppings are all fresh and quality. I’ve had all of their speciality pizzas and they’re amazing. My favorite is the BBQ chicken but literally ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is amazing! Their ranch by the way… wow. And their fries… wow. You really can’t go wrong. And they just remodeled so you get to enjoy your delicious food in a clean place.

I love the pizza but man, it’s been several times now that I call to order pizza and get put on hold for 10+ minutes just for them to forget about me and just hang up. I call back and all I get is them answering and saying«please hold» without giving me a chance to say anything. I would understand if it only happened once but it’s been a few times now. I never used to have this problem but for some reason for the past few months I’m having this issue. I would hate to go somewhere else but I feel disrespected when they do this.

This is my second time ordering for delivery and I love it! They are always prompt and very friendly. The food is delicious and is always hot when it arrives. I will definitely keep coming back to this awesome pizzeria!

House Pizza was bomb. So was antipasto salad. Salad produce was so fresh and flavorful I didn’t even need to add dressing. Pizza dough was perfect consistency. Not too doughy, definitely not flat or too crispy. Was on my own this time but will definitely come back with the fam!

Ok, capital F on Da price… Da ranch was like oil and water… Vary non stimulating and vary cardboardish. Your toppings slide off faster than usain bolt.

Pizza was pretty good. It had nice amount of cheese and the right flavors. The crust was a little too much for my liking but over all good. I also ordered wings, potato wedges and garlic bread. Wings were good and potato wedges were good as well but the garlic bread felt like a rip off.

I ordered in a pastrami pizza here I am comparing spots that have this style of pizza… Ordered through Unilocal and it was so good. Pastrami pizza on some great flavor. Delivered promptly as they agreed of ONLINE I mean what great service. Only thing I put 4 stars for is that I didn’t get more ranch as I asked for. But then again maybe I forgot to ask for more than that. Good food, friendly fast service so all good by me.

Best pizza place in town! Pizzas are so delicious, not to mention their sandwiches. My fave is the meatball sandwiches that are smothered with yummy fresh mozzarella. Uncle Reds is officially our to go to place when craving pizza.

Ugh so good. After an easy online order from Unilocal and easy pay online too I was happy. But then when I was able to view and track my order I was even happier BUT when they tell me it’ll be delivered at 7:13pm and they show up at 6:50pm that just makes my heart sing. Great cheese pizza, fluffy crispy crunch crust, yummy mozzarella sticks, and crunchy garlic bread. I’m not sure if the chocolate chip cookies are bought or homemade but they where great too. All in all so happy with my service and food. Great job guys keep doing what you do!

Been wanting to try Uncle Reds for a while now. And now the wait is over. The pizza is amazing. I wanted to order half House special, half White stone but I was told that they cant do that combination because of the sauce, so i opted for Medium House special instead. But Dean, the owner said that he will just make me a sample of White stone so i can try it. Both pizzas were awesome. House special was overflowing with toppings. The crust is superb. Will surely come back.

New to the neighborhood, figured I would try something local and relatively close to home that delivered. I honestly can say, I’ve had better from popular pizza chain restaurants. I ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza, with a side order of garlic bread sticks. The breadsticks had absolutely no flavor, the pizza? It taste how the cardboard box smelled– like cardboard. I wanted to love it… I wanted it to be my families new pizza place-just didn’t happen. I guess my search will continue. Two stars? Only because I ordered via Unilocal. It was quick, decently priced and the delivery guy was polite.

Stopped in on a Thursday night the moment I found out there was a bacon chili cheese fries pizza on the menu and for the most part, it was decent. Bacon, chili cheese fries and pizza… three of my favorite foods in one!!! The name of the pizza is called the Bellflower just as the city it’s located in. I was impressed that the fries on the pizza managed to be crispy. I figured with the cheese and chili they would become soggy but that wasn’t the case at all. The crust was perfect and the flavor of the chili, though very lite was pretty good. I only wish there was more of a bacon presence. The bacon flavor was present on a bite or two but that was about it. Had it stood out more, it would have been a lot better. The service was great and the pizza didn’t take long to cook. I just sipped on a beer while watching the Lakers game until it was done. I plan on coming back to try a more classic pizza such as pepperoni and sausage. I’m sure my rating will go up but until then, this was a nice intro and a fun spin on three things I love. Dinner 2÷4÷2016

Damn damn damn damn… this used to be my go too place. But they are under new ownership. Which I didn’t know but that’s cool. the place looks really clean and put together. But damn it they changed the crust and the taste is so generic. I would say give it a try but but I know you will be disappointed.

Given the name, the sketchy-looking flyer that you order from, and the not-so-amazing location of Uncle Red’s, you would expect to only get pizza that you should eat after drinking a six-pack(or more). This, however, is not the case. Except for some temperature issues(delivery seems to be a thing they struggle with), this is some rockin’ pizza. Nice, thick, chewy crust(though not deep dish). Flavorful, fresh toppings that cover the whole pizza. A really zesty, robust sauce that ties it all together. This is what pizza dreams are made of. My family loves the wings, and my brother gets the meatball sub which had allegedly comes in at a weight of 2.2 pounds. Pretty much the only thing I’ve seen this 21-year-old boy not be able to eat in one sitting. Last time I ordered, I expressed that the previous pizza had been a little less than piping hot, and I swear the manager himself took it out of the oven and hand-delivered it to our house. If you have a problem, mention it. They’re definitely willing to fix it.

Pros: + Crust is perfect! + The potato wedges were good Cons: — Cheese and toppings were bland. I was so disappointed by the cheese and toppings! When I pulled my first slice out of the box I was so happy because the crust was perfect, not like the usual soggy crust we usually encounter when we chose delivery over dining in. Then I took a bite and was so disappointed. It wasn’t nasty by any means, but it had one of the most bland cheeses ever. We got pepperoni and sausage which should be savory, but there was almost no taste to the toppings. The potato wedges were good. The delivery guy was really cool and suggested the chili cheese pizza. I want to try it and give this place another shot, it’s hard to find a pizza place with a good crust in Downey.

Eh, 3.5 stars. It’s become increasingly difficult to find traditional good pizza places. Everyone in California is too new school with the stupid random fancy toppings and stupid thin crust. Or if it is more traditional, the quality just isn’t up to par. Too many people worried about«calories» smh. Well California is definitely not really known for the BEST pizza anyway lol. Public Pizza is okay. I’m not crazy about the unoriginal, boring name(reminds me of public restroom), but that can be overlooked. The sauce tastes a little weird but other than, pretty good toppings as you see with my Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Sausage, The crust is kind of thick just how I like it, but it was burnt a little especially on the bottom. That ruined it somewhat I think if it’s taken out the oven sooner it would be much better, so I’ll have to return to test that theory. I also got cheese bread which was pretty okay. The chicken ceasar salad was good. Parking shouldn’t be much an issue, wasn’t on the day I went. I love unknown suburbs like Bellflower that have huge wide streets and plenty of parking.

Wow. All I can say is WOW! We have lived in the same house for almost 31 years. In that time this place has been several different names with the same okay food. Never good enough to patronize unless it was new to try again. The other day we wanted to have pizza and a couple of beers and decided to give Public Pizza a try and because it takes less than 5 minutes to walk… we walked. We have been there several times since then and will continue to go there more often than we should… for our diets. The food is amazing. The chicken wings are large and spicy and served so hot you have to wait for them to cool off. Very meaty too. The pizza is incredible. I am a sell proclaimed pizza expert having had several New York styles and Chicago styles all over the country and I have to say this one is the best. I have never«craved» pizza — now I do. The sauce is great the toppings are really good and generous and when it arrives at your table, like the wings you have to wait to eat so it can cool. The sandwiches are epic. The first time we ordered them we were amazed at the size — especially at the price. And the quality of the bread and ingredients is great. The sausage is incredible and the meatballs are almost as good as my own. We had them delivered one day and for giggles weighed one and it weighed over two pounds! The people are awesome — friendly, accommodating, and efficient. We will be back again, and again and again.

SHUTTHEFRONTDOORANDHOLDTHEPRESS! PUBLICPIZZAIS A THIEF! A dirty, dirty, downright delicious thief. Stole a pizza my heart and everything! I mentioned they were delicious right? K, as long as we have that one down. Now, I love pizza, let’s be honest. I won’t claim that I rarely get a craving for pizza one month, then post 6 or 7 photos of some pies the next month. No, I love pizza. My fave hole in the wall is Milk Barn, but hot damn Public Pizza is my newfound second lover. I love finding places like this by accident, stumbling on to a new gem. Mm… anyhow. I was clearly craving pizza and I hit up my handy dandy Unilocal app, and low and behold! Less than 2 miles from my client’s medical appointment! Woohoo, I knew I’d be coming back by to grab dinner. At 4:05, I rolled through the doors, after almost overshooting the place. It’s located on the corner of Clark and Van Ruiten, just behind the One Stop Auto. And the sign is relatively small, especially if you don’t look UP. No window signs or anything. One black sign above the building lets you know Public Pizza is here. Walked in to relatively empty front section and 2 or 3 parties dining in the attached room, watching baseball. Works for me! I wanted to get my grub on! I perused the menu and made my choice — which was hard because they have 7 specialty pizzas and I wanted to try them all! Rather than giving myself a heart attack on the first go, I stuck to just one pie(I’ve been known to order multiple small pizzas before.). I selected the almighty«Bellflower». A delicious concoction of chili cheese fries, and bacon. On top of mah pizza! YAAAAAASSSSS\(^_^)/ my inner fat girl was sooo happy. I placed my order and took a seat on one of their many red metal bar stool seats(except square, and not padded). Naturally, I snapped a few Unilocaly photos and jumped on finishing my online shopping for our upcoming vacation. It took about 20 minutes for my pie to be created and cooked. What I loved most was that they have the pizza oven right up front behind the register — so you can see your pizza go in. Downfall? It was hot as H-E– double hockey sticks in there! It’s August, it’s already hot. fans or AC would have been awesome, but the little front door breeze wasn’t cutting it. I guess if you were dining in, you could sit in the dining area that was separate. but I’m not sure how the heat would be in there either! I got my pizza to go, and the owner boxed it up and asked if it was my first visit. When I said«yes», he complimented my pie choice and said it was a great choice for a first timer and that I was in for a real treat. And hot skippy, he wasn’t wrong! I got home, popped open the lid and dove in. Holy crappola, it’s a party in my mouth! Fries in burritos is one thing, chili cheese fries on my pizza is a whole new level of foodie heaven! It sounds so weird, not a first choice for many I’m sure, but I swear it was the best choice ever! I can already tell I’m gonna be back for more. The crust was done perfectly, crispy, just the right amount of thickness. And then BAM! Your tastebuds are hit with the taste of classic chili cheese fries that we all love. Literally, it was a pizza crust with chili cheese fries on top, topped with mozzarella cheese and bacon. Yes, topped with bacon — and no it wasn’t an extra charge. They just give you the bacon! My jaw dropped as most pizza places wanna charge you like $ 1.50 for bacon bits. Pfft. No, these were crispy, fresh, delicious chunks of bacon generously sprinkled all over my glorious pizza pie\(^_^)/ I was drooling at the sight of that beautiful masterpiece staring back at me from the box. I loved that the cheese was over the toppings, and that the fries were in no way soggy. The small had 8 slices, and it was actually HEAVY. The box was heavy, and the pizza. I really can’t say enough amazing things about that damned chili cheese fry pizza. Thank goodness they came up with it, because I didn’t know what I was missing out on. I highly, HIGHLY recommend«The Bellflower», and once I’ve feasted on a few others, I’ll let ha know what flopped and what rocked(^_^) for now — chili cheese fries on a pizza is BOMBTASTIC! \(^_^)/
