I ordered from this place and it took 2 hours and 15 min to get to our hotel and when I went to pay for it the delivery guy tried 2 times to keep an extra $ 10 and was very rude .So then we go to try and eat the food and the sweet and sour pork was so hard and inedible they were like jawbreakers nobody could eat it. The rest was General Tso’s and it was complete mush just garbage. I would not eat this poison again on a bet. STAYAWAY

This is literally the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I always thought Best Chopsticks looked adorable driving by, seeing people inside looking happy and eating their food. One night we finally tried it. We ordered some fried spring rolls that were basically pure grease. The oil tasted rancid. I had one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. We also ordered sweet and sour tofu. That was a bad mistake. Deep fried tofu cubes drenched in bright red disgusting sauce. The tofu also tasted of rancid oil. The only thing I could eat was the rice. My partner got a headache immediately after eating, probably from MSG. I unfortunately cannot recommend this spot.

Food is great– Service is the worst I have ever experienced. Clearly the owners do not care because it wasn’t really the girl’s fault. I don’t think she could have worked any faster. We went on a Friday evening and the girl took our order. The cook brought it out and they never came back to us again at all throughout the whole meal. We had to wait in line to pay to leave. I even stood up by the front counter to let the gal know I needed some napkins, some mustard, some chop sticks, and more water. She saw me but was so busy she would not/could not help me at any point during our meal. Yes, it is good food but get it to go.

Since moving to Bellingham over 6 years ago I was hard pressed to find a good, cheap, and always the same Chinese food place until I happened upon Best Chopsticks. The lunch menu is exceptional for the price and the food always looks picture perfect when you get it. I always get the Mongolian Chicken and I think you should try it! I get it twice a week! The only gripe with this place is that it can take a while to get your food sometimes but it is a restaurant that cooks your food to order so I don’t expect it to be that speedy.

Definitely lives up to it’s name«Best». The food was so good that I went back three days in a row. I Started with the sweet and sour soup(made with very fresh veggies) then on to the main plate — sweet & sour chicken, rice, egg roll… very large portions… had to get a «doggy bag». Got two meals out of one for a VERY cheap price.

We wanted Chinese food and this is definitely the place to get it! I wish I’d known about this gem years ago. The tofu is delicious and the egg rolls are super satisfying. The hostess was very nice and we felt the need to tip well because of her service.

I have tried this place twice. The food was ok both times. The second time my egg drop soup didn’t taste right and 24 hours later I was violently sick. I had sweet and sour chicken with lo-mein, and egg drop soup. I really wanted to like this place, but after getting very sick after the second time, I have not returned. Bellingham does not have a good selection of Chinese restaurants. It’s unfortunate.

We have been really disappointed with Asian food in Bham. However, was happily surprised. The eggrolls were homemade and really good. Fried rice was tasty. The coating on Orange Chicken was amazing. The beef with the broccoli a bit tough, but the veggies were all cooked and seasoned very well. Service was very polite. A gem!

We got take out here a few months ago in our search for the best Asian food in Bellingham. I didn’t remember anything except that I approved of their lo mein(they’re the only ones!), so we tried it again. It was a cold windy night so I got a variety of things. Wonton soup was a good portion with substantial, delicious dumplings. Also ordered the chicken wings. They were covered with peppery onion deliciousness. There’s nothing like some good Chinese chicken wings. Lo mein is the best in town for sure. Actually tastes like something. Not greasy. And! They have Singapore pan fried noodles if you’re a fan of that sort of thing. There my favorite. The meals come in huge portions for the price. A warning, I’ve been there twice and both times had to wait longer than advertised by 10 minutes. Which isn’t a big deal. Just when you order ahead– there’s no hurry.

Phoned in an order to pick up. They suggested 20 – 25 minutes so I arrived in 25 minutes and my order was waiting for me. Ordered the wonton soup which delicious. This should be classified as a comfort food. Full of tasty wontons and Bok Choi. Enjoyed the General Tso and house fried rice. Ample serving size and just the right amount of spicy heat.

Got a late lunch on a Saturday, and the place was almost empty. But the service was good, and the food was fine. The hot and sour soup was good – not too much corn starch, which is a common problem. The orange chicken was tasty enough, and the waitress was honest about there being only«a few» pieces of broccoli. The egg roll and fried rice were also fine. Got a solid meal, but nothing exceptional. The lunch special is reasonably priced, so it’s a worthy option.

Ah parking, friendly service, quiet, and great food so this is a nice Place for girls or a family to have lunch. I like the shrimp egg foo young and my friend always has the chicken fried steak. I enjoy theNew Year present from this restaurant of a lovely wall hanging. Leftovers are great because portions are huge. Hot tea on a rainy afternoon and tasty food, look no further.

Portions are Large, food is great, and they deliver free. Food is separate from sauces so it stays nice and crisp. Not overly greasy like most others. Will definitely be ordering from them on regular basis. Would be 5 Star if not for delivery restriction on time available for delivery and length of time for delivery from time of order.(Delivery ONLY after 4pm W/$ 20+ order and can take a hour from time of order.)

This is my wife and I’s ‘go-to’ Chinese restaurant in Bellingham. And since I only gave it 3 stars it tells you about the state of Chinese food in this town. Best Chopsticks is more or less your typical Chinese restaurant. It has your typical selections(with a few you won’t find at other places in Bellingham) and is at par in terms of quality and quantity. The prices are decent for the Northwest, which generally means a bit more expensive than other parts of the country. Our favorite dishes are the Shrimp with Honey Walnuts and the Squid with Black Bean Sauce. We also enjoy their hot and sour soup, but again it is not the best you will ever find. We have not generally been impressed with the service. Almost every time we place an order over the phone the food is done in less than half the time they tell us. This would be great except that it is cold by the time we get it home. Also, they have forgotten things in the past, like the sweet and sour sauce on our sweet and sour pork, still don’t know how that got overlooked. The waitresses generally do not check on you even once when eating in. Overall, we aren’t blown away by Best Chopsticks, but it remains our go-to quick and easy Chinese.

im not sure what all the fuss is about. maybe im picky having lived in japan 12 years of my life and eating real authentic chinese as china has a large influence in Japan. The lo mein was better than most places, my home cooked fried rice is much better than theirs… the rest of the food was good but not wow. i give 3 stars because it was edible but its no different than any other americanized chinese in my opinion. the service was good AFTER we waited a good 12 minutes to have our order taken while we were the only customers i felt this time was a bit lengthy.

Meh. I first stumbled upon this restaurant a few months ago, and was intrigued. I grew up eating at a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant, and I’ve never had better. I came here and read the reviews, and thought it sounded exactly like what I wanted. –The woman who took my order and brought it to me was very nice. –The price was pretty good, and the portion size was good also. –The food I saw on the tables looked really tasty. –I was prepared for it to be greasy — when I go for Chinese, I’m not looking for healthy. So yes, it was on the greasy side, but I have no problem with that. –I loved the texture of the egg roll — nice and crisp on the outside, and they use the rice wrap, which I prefer over other methods. It could have used more filling, but it was a great texture. Unfortunately it, like the rest of my meal, was disappointing in the flavor department. –It wasn’t terrible food, it wasn’t gross or anything, but it was just so flavorless. Surprisingly bland. Have they never heard of salt? I swear there was no salt in any of my food. I salted everything, including my soup before I ate it. I probably liked the food less than 3 stars, but 2 seems so harsh so I’m sticking with 3. I didn’t hate my experience, I was just disappointed. Unless I hear that this was a fluke and they ran out of salt, or something, I doubt I will return.

Even though basic — still good Chinese with large portions. Have gone numerous times for lunch and always quick, reliable service and consistent quality.

This is a reliable place to get an inexpensive lunch. The portions are quite generous – rice, soup, an egg roll or wonton and as the entrée for well under $ 10. The service can be a little slow. I work about a minute away and it sometimes takes my entire lunch hour. It helps if you know what you want when you walk in the door. The pork noodle soup is delicious, though I often opt for one of the lunch specials.

My wife and I ordered a delivery meal for the first time last night. I had heard that they .were busy and under staffed at night so I ordered at 6 for a 7:30 arrival. Perfect for our schedule. The broccoli beef, chow mein, spring rolls, soup and fried rice arrived hot and right when they said they would. The guy who delivered looked to be the owner and asked to see the credit card I used because he thought he got the numbers wrong. He did have one digit wrong and fixed it right then. A lot of places would have just forgotten about it if your card doesn’t go through. Good food, nice delivery owner and I am so glad to know that there is a Chinese restaurant that delivers… for free!
