Stayed here over Labor Day weekend(Thurs-Mon) at one of their tent sites right next to the pond. The site had water/electric which always makes for a better camping experience. We did have a lot of rain, which made our site quite muddy. Pea gravel would help a lot. Most sites are wooded, so there’s lots of relief from the sun. Also mosquitoes were vicious and seemed to be resistant to our 40% DEET repellent. That being said, the staff was mostly friendly, and organized a number of family events for the weekend. Friday night bingo was fun, although the caller needs to lighten up just a bit. Saturday was a light competition with old fashioned camp games like sack and 3-legged races and tug of war. Sunday featured and ice cream social and some live music in their outdoor pavilion, while Monday was a pancake breakfast. Facilities were dated, but relatively clean, given the muddy conditions. The store/office stocked a decent amount of supplies/needs. The fishing pond was choked with water lilies so fishing was a chore, although there were some catfish to be caught. Lots of frogs there to occupy the kids interests for a while. Overall, a positive experience. Not the best campsite, but the small size and old fashioned family activities make it a nice campground.
