my first visit, I had an expired coupon for the glass and contacts exam and glasses and contact bundle. i went in with it and they still honored it even though it was expired, saving me lots of money since I had no insurance. I thought that was very great of them and was happy with my service. Then…
My second appt I had scheduled there, I showed up on time and I waited for over an hour. When I asked when I would be seen for my appt, they told me that my Dr. had left (it was almost closing time) my chart was simply overlooked and they had me see a different Dr. rather irritating but hey, what could I do. Had my appt and I left. Never thought about it again. Until my next issue which completely irks me and I can’t help but consider more negative experiences than positive with them. I moved out of the area and I just called them to get information from my chart regarding a prescription. They couldn’t find it, said it may be in archives and they would have to call me back in a few days. I said that’s fine. I called back 4 days later and the lady at the front desk said she didn’t take my phone number so she couldn’t call back. no problem, good thing I called back. She told me that since it’s been awhile it is most likely in Archives, but it isn’t. They can’t find my chart at all. THEY. CANNOT. FIND. MY.CHART. AT. ALL.
THEY LOST MY CHART!!! MY PERSONAL INFO, EVERYTHING GONE. LOST!!!
TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND IRRESPONSIBLE. CAN’T RATE LESS THAN 1 OTHERWISE I’D GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE 5.

I visited as a new a patient and unfortunately will not be returning. I decided to make an appointment after my vision insurance changed. I found Everything in Sight on my insurer’s website and called to make an appointment.
My visit was uncomfortable from the start. I wandered around and waited in front of what I thought was the front desk for about five minutes (several employees walked by me without greeting me or asking if I’d been helped). I decided to explore a different room and found another desk to stand in front of, and still I was not greeted.
As it turns out, I’d succeeded in finding the front desk and eventually I was checked in and handed a clipboard with an intake form that collected my insurance information. This is important: you might think that if you give your insurance information, they will check to see that you are scheduled with a doctor who accepts your insurance. They will not! Please save yourself the trouble and be sure to ask!
While I was filling out my paperwork, another patient arrived for her appointment and was forced to reschedule because the office had mistakenly scheduled her for an appointment with the wrong doctor. This should have been a warning sign!
I handed my clipboard back with proof of insurance, waited several minutes and then proceeded with my appointment. Though the doctor was kind and thorough, my exam was inconclusive and indicated I might have astigmatism in my right eye (which I have never had before). I was given a trial pair of contacts and told to schedule a follow-​up in a week.
At the end of the exam, an unapologetic staff member informed me that I needed to pay cash. Even though I was required to provide proof of insurance before my appointment, no one informed me that the doctor I’d been assigned was not covered by my insurance.
That is, until after my appointment, and then they were all too willing to collect payment. I asked if this was a clerical error, but they made it very clear that the fault was mine. Apparently it was my responsibility to know that their eye doctors don’t accept insurers consistently and to inquire whether my specific doctor accepted my insurance. I shouldn’t have trusted that providing my insurance information would have been sufficient!
Overall, this is a disorganized clinic, poorly run only with paper records (no computers anywhere). If you make an appointment here, please be sure to verify that you will be seeing an eye doctor who is covered by your insurance provider, as the doctors at this clinic are not uniformly covered.

Dr. Tom got my prescription perfect, and Danika helped me pick out and work with my glasses, and she was a pleasure to work with the entire time. She was professional, courteous and did a great job. Highly recommended.

I visited Everything in Sight three times over three years, but I am not going back.
The positives: Wide selection of frames, some of the staff are friendly.
Negatives: Very very poorly organized. The last time I went in because the contacts I was using were causing me problems, so the doctor prescribed a different brand. They sent me home with the original brand (I didn’t notice until I was home) and when I called to get it fixed, it took 2 weeks of reminding them before they ordered what I needed, and then they weren’t willing to honor my insurance for the corrected order. Everything was eventually resolved, but not without a fair bit of stress. Confusion and chaos prevail at Everything in Sight. There are what feels like dozens of employees milling around and no computerized system, so every interaction I had with them was difficult. One of the doctors I saw also has very strange bedside manners and made me a little bit uncomfortable.

I had an excellent experience today with Dr. Tucker-​Spino. She was everything you want in an Optometrist — friendly, intelligent, patient. I wish she practiced general medicine. The store itself was also very nice, but I did not make a purchase so i can’t really speak to anything else.

The staff was kind and courteous. I arrived early for my appointment and the optometrist saw me 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Unlike every other eye doctor I have seen, they did not pressure me to buy new frames. The doctor gave me samples of two different brands of contacts to try. Other reviewers have complained about problems with their glasses, but I just went for an eye exam and to buy contact lenses, so I can’t comment on that. I was pleased with my experience. It’s so nice to have a place that’s conveniently located downtown, open Saturdays, and reasonably priced.

My girlfriend just got glasses and frames at Everything In Sight and they messed up the prescription and blamed it on her Optician! Gotta tell ya, that is RUDE and Totally UNACCEPTABLE behavior!!! Shame on YOU!!!

I have given them 2 stars because everyone was alway very nice, but that is where the good review ends. I had my eye exam there, picked out some frames and waited for the glasses to be ready. It took about two weeks. When I picked them up I said they didn’t seem right, but they told me to try them for awhile. After a week I actually drove to Seattle to see my regular eye doctor. After he completed the exam he said the prescription was not exactly right and that the progressive lens were not measured correctly. I took my new prescription back to EIS and they agreed to make new lenses. About 3 weeks later the glasses were ready. They seemed much better, but at night I swore one pair of glasses had a terrible glare. I returned to the store and they said they had forgotten the anti glare in one pair and they would send them back again. I the meantime I moved back to Seattle. When they called to tell me they were in I asked if I could mail them to have the new lenses put in and would they mail them back. They said sure. I included a letter with the glasses asking them to send them to my work address which I had given to them. They finally showed up after being forwarded to me to my new home address from my old address in Bellingham. I guess they didn’t even read my letter. My glasses are now correct, but that was a real hassle from start to finish.

I tried Everything in Sight after figuring out that Costco’s optical department is not run with the same commitment to customer satisfaction that the main Costco store is.
They tend to be a bit busy, but have always been helpful and I’ve always been happy with the glasses I got there. Recently I sat on my spare pair (ouch) and destroyed the frames, and soon after, my main frames failed due to a design flaw in the spring.
They no longer carried the style of my spare glasses, but I selected a perfectly serviceable set of frames from their super cheap selection, and they reshaped my lenses to fit and set me up for just $ 30, making it a much cheaper lesson that I probably deserve.
My main pair were just out of warranty (ouch again), but they were able to get a replacement part and get me out the door for a small fraction of the original cost. They were in a perfect position to take advantage and either try to sell a new pair or get a pretty healthy markup out of the replacement part, but I get the feeling that they didn’t charge much more than their cost, because the whole thing was so affordable.
I like these guys, and the bonus is they are a locally owned business, so the money you spend here stays in Bellingham and helps build our local economy.
I’m sorry to hear Melissa’s story, and a little surprised. I think these folks do care more than her experience would indicate, and hope they will take her story to heart and correct their process for the future.

I had an eye exam and ordered my glasses before Christmas. I ordered progressive bifocal lenses, the second set of lenses of this type I’ve worn. It took WEEKS before I finally got a phone call that my glasses were in. By that time it was near Christmas so I called the office to find out their holiday hours — no return phone call. I stopped by several times, they were never open. It was well after Christmas before I finally was able to get into the office and actually get my glasses.
Alas, the progression was way off. The person helping me convinced me to take the glasses even though, as stated, I’ve been wearing progressive lenses and I knew they weren’t right. I gave it a week, then took them back. Again, it was WEEKS before they called me that my glasses were in.
Again, the glasses were wrong! The edges weren’t buffed to a shine, making the lenses look very thick (I pay extra to get thinner lenses due to my prescription). Again, I had to leave the glasses there. Again, it has been WEEKS and my glasses are still not in.
Yes, I ordered these glasses over 3 MONTHS AGO and I still do not have them. The staff is friendly, but they are not helpful, they are not organized, and they are unresponsive to phone messages. Once I finally get my glasses (Oh, that magical day!), I will never step foot in this store again. I’ve worn glasses for over 35 years now and I’ve never had such a bad experience.

I gave Everything In Sight Optical a 1 out of 5 star rating because 0 stars was not an option. I have never been to a place that was more disorganized both with their inventory and paperwork. They argued with me about what my insurance covered, of course benefiting them them financially. After talking with my insurance I was in the right when I confronted them they were rude and hung up the phone on me. I left this business feeling as if I had been ripped off and that they had faudulent practices. My insurance is very common whicj makes me wonder how many other unsuspecting people they have scammed.

Great selection and prices. They beat Costco on contacts. Nice people at this place.

These guys are great! Their prices are much better than the national chains and their optician is wonderful.
