Hannegan Seafood

I love making meals or spreads with smoked salmon. I’ve searched for really good smoked salmon and for a decent price. I have found my solution at Hannegan Seafood. They have a great selection of smoked salmon with many flavors. I love the traditional King smoked salmon but my favorite is the candied smoked salmon. The candied salmon is fabulous in a cream cheese spread. The candied smoked salmon is also phenomenal in linguine with a creamy garlic sauce. We purchase it often and especially to take on trips. It freezes well so I stock up to have on hand whenever I need it. The other item I’ve used the smoked salmon in is chowder. Super scrumptious.

Great prices on in season fresh fish!
In two fishing outings in the Puget Sound, I was not able to catch a halibut during the short season this year. so rather than eating more chicken, I opted to drive almost all the way out to Lynden to shop at Hannegan’s Seafood. While there I purchased 20 vacuum packed and perfect for two (people) flash frozen portions in order to stock up our freezer. There is no good reason to pay extra for fresh fish when it is going to be frozen anyway so I saved some significant cash. While shopping, I also picked up some bright King salmon filets to have a little variety and grab some needed omega 3!
Diana the fish monger allowed me to go through and pick out the perfectly carved thick pieces I desired and after I finished shopping, iced down my entire delectable purchase in a plastic bag lined cardboard box which kept everything frozen until I arrived home later in the day!
Hannegan Seafood offers a good assortment of both in season fresh and frozen fish in steaks and filets plus live lobsters in a tank. The unbelievable low prices for traditional and pepper smoked salmon also makes this stop mandatory whenever I pass through the Lynden area.
Visa and MasterCard are gladly accepted and they even post a sign offering senior citizen discounts!

Whereas Pescaderia is one of the best seafood markets in Bellingham I have to say that Hannegan is the BEST! The price on fish here is AMAZING!!! And the quality? This stuff is fresh off the boat and if its frozen its flash frozen and high quality. They get some of their products outsourced from Taylor shellfish which is pretty awesome, they aren’t just a local business… they are supporting other local businesses! COOL!
They are VERY clean, very very very clean! Its quite impressive really. The girls and guys there know what they are doing, they can clean your fish or tell you about it or how to cook it… like I said they are awesome… they are worth the drive to get out here!
