An excellent collection of selected goods. However, when I bought a $ 200 radio from this store, they sold me the floor model at full retail price. Would have expected a new in box radio or a discount on the floor model.

This is a mom and pop store in Bellingham offering modern, well-engineered items that make unique gifts or functional home décor. Even if you don’t buy a thing, it is well worth a visit to browse the displays of imaginative goods. You can find something for all ages. There were simple, wood-carved tops that even the most challenged could make spin, chalkboard laptops, and a house of cards deck for building that could entertain young ones. The rubberized handles of a BMX bike was made into a colorful and useful grip hold of a flashlight. Japanese Cypress wood with known anti-bacterial properties was made into a beautifully designed, light weight soap dish. Truly something for everyone, even those who are ‘just looking’.

Ideal has a beautiful selection of items. You wouldn’t expect to find such modern and beautiful items in Bellingham. This store is a little breath of fresh air for those of us that appreciate good modern design. The service is friendly as well. We went in to get a magazine that you can’t find anywhere else near and talked about the city and state of business in Bellingham. You can feel that the owner cares a lot about the city, has chosen the items with care and love, and cares about providing a nice experience for the customers. We will continue to support this store every chance we get.

This is a great little store! It’s sort of like a museum store, lots of high-design, ‘cool’ items. I always want to buy lots of stuff, but it’s mostly out of my price range. My favorite, semi-cheap thing is ‘whiskey rocks’, rocks that you freeze then put in whiskey so it doesn’t get watered down. They make a great gift for the whiskey drinker in your life. The store is pretty small, but definitely worth a look around.
