Jeckyl & Hyde

Had the BBQ pulled pork tonight. Have been very skeptical since the reviews haven’t been the greatest. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork was nicely smoked, not too salty or sweet. Can’t tell what type of rub was used because it was subtle and flavorful. The meat was VERY moist and I also liked the charred exterior pieces. It had a great smoke ring on the exterior of the meat. It almost melted in your mouth, again very tasty. I would recommend for sure. We ordered for a party and it was great!

I’ve gotten BBQ to-​go a few times here: twice was awesome, once was not. Their BBQ sauce is very tasty and their baked beans are excellent! The brisket was fantastic the first time I ordered it, but another time I ordered it the portion was small and the meat was somewhat dry. The pulled pork was awesome. For ~$ 12 you get a drink, 2 sides, a good portion of BBQ chicken, pork or brisket… a pretty fair deal in my book.

Good food, but don’t expect to get a brisket sandwich after 4 or 5 pm. I’ve been there 3, days in a row at 5pm and they have sold out of brisket, 4 hours before they close. Incredibly disappointing that they run out of their main dish so quickly. Poor management

Typed deli into Unilocal and they popped up, really glad they did too. Food was absolutely delicious!

WOW O WOW do we love us some bbq.
We were getting a tire fixed and decided to walk over and try what Jeckyl and Hyde has to offer. The staff was super happy to listen to what we like and make suggestions. We ended up with sliders and chili. All was FANTASTIC! Thanks again! Will be back

The food was awful. Salty tough pulled pork, yes, pulled pork. I wasn’t aware you could make tough pulled pork, but they managed. Pizza was flavorless and was very very light on toppings. The place was empty when we showed up and remained that way. Too bad, I was looking forward to quality BBQ.

We took a stroll through the neighborhood last week and ended up stopping and eating at Jeckyl & Hyde’s James Street location.
We shared the pulled pork sandwich combo and were pretty pleased. The pork definitely had a smoked flavor that come from real smoke not that fake liquid smoke flavoring. THe choices of BBQ sauces was great. We tried the BBQ beans and the Potato Salad. I loved the potato salad.
I love that this places serves Coca Cola too!
The prices were a bit steep though for a regular lunch lunch spot unless you get the special, which we missed somehow when we came in.
We will be back.

I was looking forward to this business opening. I ordered the BLT. I’ve never had a crumbled bacon BLT in my life. Way too overpriced for a measly sandwich. I’ll be going back to my usual place down the street.
