Awesome gourmet donuts! At work we do «donut friday» and Johnny’s has quickly become one of our favorites. They throw in an extra when buying a dozen and their customer service is helpful and friendly. The donuts here are pretty unique too if you’re getting tired of the same old stuff. Expect to pay $ 11 – 13 for an assorted bakers dozen — this isn’t Haggen. As I understand, they’re under new ownership within the last year. They’re doing a great job!

I was up in Bellingham for the morning and wanted a donut. I looked on Unilocal and this one had good ratings. After going there, I’m not sure why! It was 10 am but there wasn’t much to choose from. Nothing special. I had decided and was standing and waiting in front of the register to be served when a man came in. He must be a regular because the guy working called him by name and then proceeded to serve him first! Even though I was standing right there! I even had to move so this man could pay! I bought an apple fritter. It was terrible! It was burnt! So awful. I threw most of it away! Just a horrible experience.

I have the softest of spots for a custard filled chocolate covered donut and Johnnys has the best I’ve ever had. They refrigerate it and put plenty of cream inside, and somehow the bread is still soft and the cream extra delicious cold. This place is way better than Rocket donuts, and te best place in the Ham.

Is this place ever open? Have driven by a number of times during the hours that are posted here and it is closed anyway. Maybe they have gone out of business?

Finnally had an opportunity to check out Johnny’s and immediately upon walking in was disappointed at the lack of donuts that existed. I felt awkward just walking out so I thought I would give one a try. It was difficult deciding since there wasn’t much to choose from and none of them really looked that appealing, decided on an apple fritter and the damn thing was burnt! Never have I ever experienced a burnt donut before. I was sort of upset, but felt weird bringing it back in and complaining so I sucked it up. Definitely a learning experience and confirmation that La Feen’s is the place for great donuts any time of day.

Really glad they changed the hours here — as the previous hours did not jive with most of my travels past their location AND was difficult to keep track of. Their donuts were worth the hassle, though. Crispy on the outside and dense on the inside, but not too dense. Variety of flavors to please all your picky people and just plain delicious. ANDCHEAP. glad they’re open when we need donuts now ;)

Great donuts! Worth driving over to get them from here. The kids love all the fun ones they do. They always have the freshest donuts there. Love this place!

As a Vancouverite(BC) One thing I LOVE about Bellingham(in general) is how creative business enterprise is not as hampered by the steep cost of real estate. This is no more evident in Bellingham in that there are still free standing buildings with a single business that has outside space and a parking lot. It just brings me back to a better time. Johnny’s is a classic joint that count have been exactly the same in the 70s. The donuts are superior to Rocket and there are some crazy ones too, like Key Lime Pie that looked amazing! What is more is that while in there I heard 3 other customers talking to the cashier(owner?) and it seemed like they had known eachother for decades. These were real salt of the earth folks and I felt like I was really doing something«Bellingham» on this trip and enjoyed it. Note, there isn’t really a place to sit in here but in warmer months picnic tables outside.

Very yummy! Their glazed is made perfect. Slightly strange pricing, which is per donut(strange when you’re getting a dozen) but otherwise very good.

I was waiting at the walk in clinic and I decided to try Johnny’s Donuts. Boy am I glad I did. I got a maple bismark and a couple strawberry glazed. I got there right before closing time at 1PM. The manager took my order and then proceeded to fill my box with extra donuts. When I went back to the walk in clinic the nurses gladly accepted the extra donuts. The donuts were properly dispensed according to the rules of medicine.

A delicious take on donuts! They also have the best chocolate macaroon — cookies on the west coast! The angel cream on some of the donuts is amazing

After reading about the blueberry fritters, stopped by while in Bellingham. It was okay… didn’t see any blueberries, and the fritter was too doughy for my liking. Also had a sour cream old fashioned and this was very good. Other donuts looked yummy, very friendly help and cute shop… so I will try again.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the place for donuts in Bellngham. I might drive by Rocket or Lafeens and get the urge, but I’ll drive over to Johnny’s for my donut — especially great blueberry fritters — not greasy and very light and tender. Sometimes the selection gets a little thin later in the morning, so stop there first thing. John and Karin are always very friendly and run a great place!

The donuts are good, and their close to my office, which makes it convenient to stop by and get donuts for everyone, but it’s that you feel good when you leave, even before you eat the donuts. It’s just a happy place, even when they’re crowded,(which doesn’t take much, it’s a small place). Worth a stop, especially with the kids on a «Kid’s Day» where there’s always a little something extra for the little ones. Also, the donuts tend to be a little smaller, and less expensive. So there are less people back at the office, cutting a donut in half, and leaving half in the box.

Above average donuts. I have had donuts just about every place I go. You can taste the love and care in Johnny’s. Prices are average to fair… good value for the quality. The space is small, but its fun and quaint and clean. Service is very friendly and warm. The texture in the fritter is just spot-on!

It’s a donut joint. In a tiny building. With fresh donuts. Cool. Johnny’s is a new donut place in Bellingham, pretty savvy, if you ask me. Besides Johnny’s there is only one other exclusively«donuts» place in town. Johnny’s is housed in the former Barber Shop/Taco John’s building across from Assumption School. Though I haven’t confirmed it, it appears Johnny’s is a husband and wife team, having fun working together making some pretty good donuts. Though I am not an expert not a connoisseur, I am a pretty big fan of donuts, and these are… in Unilocal parlance: A-Ok! Not fantastic, but not bad either. The selection is good, the values range from exceptional(the four sqaures for $ 1) to what I would call fair to high priced maple bars(Long Johns) for $ 1. Quality seems good. Though some(like Old-Fashioned cake donuts) can be had for better elsewhere. The case has always been fully stocked when I stop by, the selection is usually pretty good. The lobby — sales floor is tiny… I hope you don’t arrive when it is packed. Two of the three times I have been here it has been too busy for my tastes… I prefer not to be bumped into when I am shopping… can you say«butt space»? The«wife»(presumption mine) provides the service and although she started out using a calculator to add everything up, her service seems to be getting a bit faster. I think the service will have to get a lot faster to meet the demand they likely need to serve to be profitable. Give Johnny’s a try if you are a donut fan, I’m sure you’ll find something you like!
