Terrible service. Wandered around with my toddler for so long looking for one item, no one around to help, the only employee I saw ignored me. When I finally took my items to the front, with a screaming kiddo no less, and obviously frazzled, after asking for help, the clerk said, «it’s on aisle 23» all the way in the back the way I’d just come, and promptly turned his back on me. No asking if he could grab it for me, no asking if he could SHOW me, even though I just said I was JUST back there looking for it, nothing. I’m never going here again. Office Max now has my business even though they’re less convenient.

My last stop in my quest for 50 of the same binders. I previously stopped in Marysville and Mount Vernon. In retrospect, I should have called ahead a week ago but planning isn’t my strong suit. Anyways, they had the rest of what I needed. I didn’t need any help from the staff but the cashier was friendly nonetheless. They get dinged a little on rating because the display of binders was a little messed up. All the binders I wanted were in 3 separate places on the wall of binders, presumably because other customers moved them but it’s their job to straighten out the shelves. In any case, I got what I needed and headed back home.

Always expect good quality clearance items here; even recharging toys for your cellphones, they can get up there, a battery juice pack at $ 70, they have a 2nd one off at up to 50% off for 2nd item. Same for the cordless speaker headsets too, wicked deal from $ 32 General Electric to just $ 8! Pretty good sound quality too. Just their higher-end Samsonite, Kenneth Cole bags/knapsacks don’t go on sale but the cheaper ones do. At the front, there’s usually some laser/bubble jet printer on sale. Sometimes it’s tough to track someone down but when you do, they’re quite helpful. one time, they helped me load a few bookshelves to my car. Whenever i’m here at Costco, make a quick stop.

I came in looking for a printer, and found what I was looking for… an inkjet printer under $ 70. Of course, it didn’t want a USB cable… fair enough, most printer don’t. However, the only ones that this store sells are their store brand… $ 17 for a 6 foot cable! Ridiculous! I’ve bought them at other stores for $ 5 or less. In fact, I ended up buying one from a 99 cent store for $ 1.69. No way in heck was I going to buy one for that price. On top of that, I asked for the cheapest paper they had… I am using the printer to print about 10 pgs/year, so don’t need fancy. He tried to sell me a $ 6 pack, when there was a $ 3 pack sitting right there… sigh… Oh well. 1 star for the good price on the printer, and 1 for the friendly service, even if it was dishonest.
