Silhouettes Salon And Day Spa

I’ve had multiple services at Silhouettes Salon and Day Spa and I have been incredibly happy with all of them!
Valentine (Hair, Nails AND Makeup!) has been keeping my nails looking beautiful and smooth with both gel overlays and shellac polishes, and she fit me in for a haircut and blowout as well. Exactly what I needed that day, and I was so grateful for it! I wasn’t having a great week, but that haircut and those shiny nails got me through it.
Everyone at Silhouettes is professional and talented. I would feel comfortable booking and sitting with any stylist there. I also love that by coming here, you are supporting an individual, self made entrepreneur!
On my next I was pampered with a facial and chemical peel by Darlene. I have very reactive, and acne prone skin. Not only was my facial relaxing and calming, but it was also effective without being too aggressive. My skin when I left was glowing and cool to the touch — not red and irritated. Two weeks later, my skin is still very happy, and looking better than ever. I really liked the products used, as well!

Third visit so it looks like I found a keeper. Foil wrap to protect me from the aliens and some color to brighten up the dark winter and I am extremely pleased. Granted it is a bit like putting lipstick on a pig but if it works for Miss Piggy it works for me. Tina is so professional yet heartwarmingly pleasant and thoughtful. Hair today gone tomorrow as she is constantly challenged to cut/​style to add body and breathe life into my limp thinning hair. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this place as I let you Unilocalers guide me to another success story.

They got me in last minute and Bick did the best job with my hair! Taught me how to take better care of it too. She is amazing and I’m going to go back for sure. Nice atmosphere. So grateful I found it!

Sarah helped me pick the perfect new color & cut to celebrate my new job! She also does great with kids — she’s the only hair stylist my daughter will allow near her head. Yes, the ONLY one! As in, whenever I mention to my little beauty that her ends are getting a little raggedy she breaks into a cold sweat as I dial the number to Silhouettes. «But mommmmm, what if Sarah doesn’t work there anymore?» she cries. «How will we FINDDDDD her again?!» Honestly I dread the day when Sarah moves on and have made her sign a blood oath that she will let me know if this ever happens! She really is fantastic, though. She works well with my precious princess, and even helps her figure out new styles to try so that she isn’t languishing in the land of the permanent ponytail.
As for myself, when I told her I wanted to try something new/​shorter and do something fun with my color she had some great ideas and it was fun to work with her. She will even make appointments on some holidays, which is always a bonus when you have a day job to work around.
I give Silhouettes, and Sarah, an A+! They also offer other services besides cut/​color — like nails and other spa-​riffic options. This would be a fun place to buy a gift certificate for your wife who is busy working hard and writing long-​winded Unilocal reviews and who could use a pamper-​me day (hint hint to the hubster).

Bic has been taking care of my hair for over five years now. She is so contentious and her goal is to make people feel good about their hair when they leave the salon. If you want to be reminded that their are still good companies and people in this world you should make an appointment here. They have been nothing but professional and great to me. Bic is a truly good person and works for a great company. I have referred many people to this salon and each one of them has thanked me and continued to get their hair done at this salon. I just got my hair done for the second time at this salon, and I love it. After being turned down multiple times by different hair salons because they didn’t know how to strip out my black hair color to make it auburn, A girl who works at Silhouettes named Ashley Garver said she would do it. And she did! She spent 5 hours on me (I have pretty long hair) and she didn’t complain once. I would never have the patience that she does! About two months ago is when I first came in here and I just came back today for a touch up. I highly recommend Ashley. She’s very sweet, patient, outgoing, and affordable. And she does an AMAZING job. :)

I recently had my first experience at Silhouettes in bellingham with a stylist named maria, and I have never been so disappointed with an outcome. I left with something completely other than what I asked for and after maria telling me she understood that I was a single mother and worked two jobs and this was a treat for me to come to a professional and get my hair done, but she grossly overcharged me at 250 $ for my hair color. I left feeling stressed and ended up calling to talk to her a week later only to find she would not help me and did not care at all about my feelings about the fact that I felt very overcharged or that I did not leave with what we had talked about. I would recommend very highly staying away from this salon. No way should any one ever pay 100 $ an hour for poor job let alone any hair job. Please ladies look elsewhere.

Holy Cow! I went to see Maria today and she NAILED it. A totally new look for me, and she helped me determine what would look best for my face shape. She has my undying loyalty. A great stylist and an entertaining individual LOVE this place.

I’ve been going to this salon for a number of years. The ladies that work here are all so friendly and nice. For my wedding last year my out of town mother in law went to silhouettes for her updo and my maid of honor did too. Janis has been my hairdresser for almost 5 years. She makes you feel so comfortable from the beginning when you first meet her. She genuinely cares about your hair and wants to know your hair history so that she can give you the best care possible. Her coloring technique is amazing… whatever I’ve asked for she has made possible. What I appreciate most about Janis is her honesty. When she makes suggestions it’s always for the health of my hair and the quality of her work. I’m always so happy with my results when I leave her hands and get compliments on my color all of the time. Love it here and can’t wait till my next appointment.

I only go to Silhouettes to see Natalie for LMP massage.
Natalie is magical. I’ve had many a massage in my day and none better than Natalie’s. Plus, she’s a super cool person and is very enjoyable to be around. She creates a really relaxed and rejuvenating experience! She is also in network with most insurance providers.

I haven’t tried all their services but I’ve been getting my hair done here for over 10 years. It is a great salon, full of talented stylists! My personal favorite is Lori Fien.
I highly recommend this salon!
