As far as the play area goes. they are pretty organized and my 1 yr old had a great time there. The librarians have always been helpful finding books for my first grader. They seem to have a good variety of programs for little ones. I am pretty annoyed that all the programs are during the early part of the day during the week. An evening weekday or weekend program would be nice for us resident moms that need to work.

Miss Debbie in the children’s department is great. Excellent children’s play area and great kids program. Some of the staff is not overly friendly though especially on weekends.

Long Island, NY
Three cheers for a library that supports local writers! Bellmore plays host to a variety of events, and the program coordinator is eager to have more, new writers read. The library shelves local writers’ works as well as all the classics we love to read. The facilities are cozy and clean. A great place to go for some quiet or for a good read.
