Hair Extension Artistry By Mariel

I’ve wanted longer hair for years, and I finally made an appointment with Mariel. People have always told me to do things with my hair, but I like one style: long. I always have.
Luckily, Mariel is a WIZARD when it comes to long hair. Not only did she create the perfect long, long length I always wanted, but she also blended some much lighter strands into my jet black hair and magically created this amazing ombré look.
I had a lot of worries about the process. That it would hurt, that it would hurt to sleep, that styling it would be hard (I have the hairstyling skill level of a sleepy toddler), that it would be heavy and give me headaches.
Not only was the actual process discomfort-​free, but sleeping didn’t even bother me the first night! It has been really easy to manage my hair, and while it’s gorgeous and thick, it’s not heavy or unwieldy. I am a very busy person with work and kids, and having my hair sorted out for less than it costs to get boring haircuts and color is the best thing ever.
Now my only concern is that this secret will get out and it will be hard to get appointments :)

I’ve been addicted to extensions for years now. I live in manhattan and know just about every spot that will do them– this is NYC right? Wouldn’t you end up finding some amazing place that makes you feel like a kardashian sister/​mermaid when you hit the streets? Wrong. Well not totally wrong, but unless you have that Kim K. money– good luck. Then I found MARIEL!!! Let me break it down:
a) she makes house calls if you live on LI! I spent last winter out there so we’d set a time and she’d come over to put them in while I was practically in PJ’s. Amazing!
b) if you don’t live on LI, getting to her is insanely easy. Jump on the LIRR and you’ll be at her house within an hour.
c) most importantly, she’s awesome. Getting your «hair all did» takes hours (if you’re like me and have a million extensions put in) so sitting with someone for hours can be, and has been tedious in the past. But not with Mariel, this girl is part therapist, part friend, and an amazing artist when it comes to extensions. Which is the most important part. Having all this hair now, I get blowouts at salons regularly (too lazy to do my own hair) and I’m constantly complimented by hairdressers on how great they look– apparently they’ve seen a lot of people walk in with a mess on their head.
With all that being said– the price is right. I’m not one to cheap out on something– but if I know I can get a great price on amazing work, that’s the route I’m taking. Do yourself and your hair a favor– go see Mariel!!!

Mariel is the quintessential expert on doing micro link hair extensions. Our favorite niece wanted longer hair for her 18^th birthday party. After doing a lot of research I came across her services online and booked the appointment. It’s not often we get to travel back to Bellmore to visit family for special occasions. Mariel offered us a spectrum of prices and was willing to work with our budget.
Since my niece has medium length hair, we picked out 22 inch remy strands. The results were incredibly impressive. The hair looked to natural that I couldn’t even tell they were extensions. It’s very rare to meet a professional hairstylist that will do home visits to do the application. I highly would happily recommend her services because she is a true professional.
