Since I shamelessly give second chances, I tried teapot two separate times about two months apart. I struggled to give them three stars in this review. If I could go for 2.5, I would. While the food and tea were good, the atmosphere was completely awkward. Let’s break it all down into easy to chew pieces, shall we? Tea: Coconut custard all the way! When I say it was divine, I mean it was sweet, nutty and ffffffabulous(just like me!). On the other side of the spectrum, the positively peach was weak sauce. Perhaps it didn’t brew long enough? Meh. The English breakfast was expectedly robust, no complaints. There’s enough variety of tea in really sweet teapots here to make this little tea snob happy. Food: Three tiered tea platters are adorable and bring back all sorts of childish girly fantasies I had about having tea parties with my stuffed animals. «Misses fluffy-pants, would you like another crumpet??». I had no choice but to opt for tea for two, both times. While I acknowledge it wasn’t very filling nor an amazing value for what we got, I still couldn’t resist. All of the sandwiches were great. I have to say the Henry is the all around best with roasted rosemary chicken and cranberry, yum. The Diana with walnut mousse on raisin bread was very sweet. The Sophia, which was little pieces of toast with olive tampenade was equally as good as the others, just smaller. I didn’t understand the scones… they tasted exactly like corn muffins. That’s not what I expected. The desserts are itty bitty little treats. Not bad, but nothing really noteworthy there. Atmosphere: I can’t deal with excessive pink. Yes, I do realize I possess double X chromosomes and all the necessary parts to make me female… but I still can’t do it. Everything here is pink, frilly and Victorian-esque. The silverware and plates were pretty and oh so delicate. A klutz like me has to be careful. It was also super quiet both times as we were the only people there most of the meal! Awkward, especially when the seats constantly made funny farting noises. Brrrrrrrrt. The two girls working there looked tired, lethargic and like they didn’t want to be there. Did I mention that this place is a small storefront in a mini strip mall? Yeah, that too. Didn’t feel quite like a restaurant. Suggestions: Scones and corn muffins are not the same thing. Figure it out. Put the loose teas at the front of the place! That way your customers will SEE what they drank and think«oh what the heck ill get some tea too!». Also, smile please. If you look like you don’t want to be there than that vibe is going to pass on to your customers.

This place is incredible. The sandwiches and tea all mixed so well and the atmosphere complimented everything all together. I would definitely make a trip every now and then just to try out the plethora of flavorful teas.

Perfect for a bridal shower or other girly gathering! The décor was cute. The staff was very accommodating for my party coming in the day after Christmas(during a blizzard!). Although different staff members seemed to give us slightly different details about the reservations, they were right that we got a hearty meal for $ 22.95 each(that is the rate for groups). The sandwiches were more sweet than savory; everyone was amazed by the scones and the pretty pastries. Oh yeah, the tea… you have never seen so many flavors of green, white, black, red and herbal teas! I loved having my own fancy porcelain pot.
