Lisai’s Market

I wish I could do half star ratings on here. The butcher at Lisai’s is fantastic. I’ve never had a bad cut of any meat. The chicken breasts are what are most surprising to me — they’re enormous! A half chicken breast chopped up for a stew or something of the like has been ample to feet three or four. The produce is great, and for the most part prices are good there. General grocery items are a little more expensive in my book. The reason I wish I could rate 2.5 stars is because of the service you receive, especially at check out. I’ve never worked with someone there that is friendly — last night, the entirety of my groceries was stuffed into one bag, crushing my bread. Although I could have asked for it separately, something like that shouldn’t happen. I don’t mean to split hairs, of course, because I wouldn’t go anywhere else locally for meats.

The only place I could find in the area for a good, quality cut of steak.
As meat markets go, this one is top notch. I got ribeye steaks «on the bone» for my grill one day, and came back for nice thick Porterhouse steaks a few days later.
Prices were good, cuts were generous, and the meat itself was excellent.
If you are a local I am sure you know all about this place, but if you are a summer vacationer looking for a nice carnivore’s dinner then make this your first stop on the shopping trip.
