I went there for dinner with my husband on Saturday night. Cute place with good food and good value. I had prime rib and it came with great French onion soup, salad and twice baked potato that was all very good. We had to wait a bit for our food but did not complain and the waitress was so sweet she gave us some cannoli for dessert that was the best I have ever tasted.

Just a simple old school joint. Don’t expect fancy digs. What you do get is a solid meal and great pours. Start with a soup, and if lucky, the cheeseburger soup is on the menu. Steaks are perfect and the sea bass off the charts. My kind of place.

Want it to be great. Should be great. But some huge holes in the experience. The waitress(hopefully owner) was outstanding. However, the bar keep had no energy or personality. Food was below average. Soup was bland. Ham on Rye was what it was. Not really full of flavor but it WAS, a ham on rye. It reminded me of many restaurants in the area. They established their regulars long time ago and newbies be damned. I am loyal to the old school but this place had no effort to accept anyone who wasn’t with them in the wonder years of the 80’s, 90’s. Unless I’m debating the union years with a laborer I’ve never met, can’t imagine patronizing Stacy’s without a blue collar invitation. You go, I’ll go elsewhere!

Good food, great value, friendly people. My husband and I have been to Stacy’s several times over the past 6 months. Always very friendly and welcoming.

Above average food, below average atmosphere. The restaurant was freezing and the tablecloth was pretty stained, it’s also small inside and so the people at the bar seemed especially loud. The food was perfectly cooked and pretty delicious.

What a find! Driving past 100 times. although there are always tons of cars just seemed in a weird spot. Anyway we went in and immediately noticed the very large cocktail glasses! You get a nice size drink. The food reminded me of old school with soup AND salad served. We both got the special — chopped steak… it was SO good! I had leftovers and it was just as good heated up the next day.

Love this place! The French onion soup and the steak with garlic mashed potatoes is the best. You get so much food for such a great price if you think about it. Anything you order from here has so much flavor and is genuinely made fresh. The drinks are just as good, and the brandy ice for desert tops it all off. Such a great place and never disappoints!

Stacy’s Cheddar cheeseburger(A $ 6 special on Mondays !) was tasty, juicy and carefully cooked to order. Each bite of the hand shaped burger had that marvelous aroma that is so unique to succulent über fresh beef and such a far cry from the dry, tasteless machine formed mass served by too many restaurants. Though the menu proudly proclaims the freshness of the onion rolls on which burgers are served, I dislike onions, so requested a plain bun and was delighted with its delicious bakery fresh fragrance. Choosing from the ample bargain priced martini menu was no easy task, but the generously sized, sugar rimmed, lemon drop I decided upon was icy Absolut perfection!

This is a nice, friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant. Service was excellent and foodgood was great. Had beef stroganoff which was as good as my grandmothers. Friend had NY strip & said it was excellent. Can’t beat«old school» ambiance. Try it.

I work around the corner from Stacy’s and have had it maybe 7 times. EACHTIME the food has been delicious! The burger special on Mondays(may not exist anymore) was always great, the Penny salad is full of grilled chicken and flavors and their soups are to die for. Great place, great service, it doesn’t get better on this strip of Mannheim. It’s a small, intimate setting for those that dine-in. I always do take-out. It’s a small place that’s easy to drive past but definately worth the stop.

Went to Stacy’s on New Years’ Eve and what a disaster. I made reservations but clearly this spot could not handle a large crowd which by the way was mostly regulars. My husband ordered steak and he got parts of a steak and I ordered crab cakes and a potato thinking they couldn’t go wrong with this but was I wrong. It definitely wasn’t crab cakes and it tasted more like tuna patties with some orange syruppy sauce all over it. A Hot Ass Mess!!! Would never recommend!

Stacy’s is a gem. Okay… it’s not some fancy über trendy restaurant, but it’s a rock solid comfortable place with great food. Very loyal regulars yet when you walk in you feel welcomed. I drove past this place so many times and always wondered about it. My sister-in-law recomended it and we went. Awesome steak. Great homemade dishes. Just a neat place. Waitstaff is also so helpful and nice. Try it!!!

Always wanted to stop here and finally did! This has turned into our favorite restaurant. Warm friendly atmosphere and the food is fantastic. Filet melts in your mouth. Seafood, Lamb, Veal and the Soup(Baked French Onion is my favorite), salad and sides are included in your meal! The Eggplant Parmesan and Stuffed Artichoke among the best I have ever had. Hidden gem… Drinks are very reasonable. Wished we would have stopped in years ago. Just worried like others that the secret may get out and it will become too popular!

Great restaurant. Homemade food and quality steaks for about half the cost of what you would pay for in the city

Someone recommended this place, and I went on a Friday night. It’s on La Grange Rd. north of 290. The building doesn’t look like much from the outside. It’s a Greek place, but they have so much more. The place had an interesting feel to it. It had low lighting and some people were dressed up a bit, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable in my shorts, flip flops, and Flash t-shirt. They have a full bar that had this interesting neon red light around the top. Appetizers: We had the crab cakes and sauteed mushrooms for appetizers. The crab cakes were drizzled with a tangy sauce. Mushrooms were sauteed in something similar– lemon juice, etc., and they were both excellent. There was a huge selection of entrees. Each entrée comes with a soup and salad. I chose the popular baked french onion soup, and it was as good as I’ve had anywhere. I upgraded my house salad to a small greek salad. It was also very good. I had diet coke to drink and soon found out there were no free refills on soft drinks. We had the Greek style pork chops(excellent) and much more than one person could eat after the lead-in we had. It came with green beans; probably some of the best beans I’ve had. I chose the flounder almondine, flounder with lemon, butter, herbs, and stuffed with spinach. Rice and green beans on the side. The bill for 2 appetizers, 2 diet cokes, 2 entrees, ended up being $ 70-something. With the appetizers it was almost too much food, but I wanted to try a variety on my first trip. Next time I may pass on the appetizers and still have food to bring home.

If you weren’t looking for it, you’d probably miss this place as it literally almost looks like a single family home, save for the burgundy awning and Stacy’s sign out front. If the outside ‘almost’ looks like a home, then the inside is exactly like someone’s home, complete w. several rooms in which to dine. We dined in the main, right next to the large bar where a few patrons were getting their«afternoon» on. We were working so stuck to some pop and a meal. The menu is pretty diverse but I quickly noted they serve prime grade burgers so went with one of those. It was pretty good, not great but satisfying nonetheless. By all appearances the lunchtime crowd was local, local, local… not loco… did I mention local? K. That’s a good thing, remember.

This«hole-in-the-wall» type place is a favorite of ours. It’s extremely close to our house which makes it even better. Get a reservation though, because on the weekends, it’s very hard to get in! Stacy’s prides itself on having all fresh ingredients — and it shows. They are so reasonably priced, it’s ridiculous. We leave spending less than $ 50 for two people on salad, soup, steak, and potatoes — can’t go wrong! We adore their salad because of the great ranch dressing they have. After the salad comes the soup — you MUST get the baked french onion soup, it is seriously to die for. Loaded with cheese(but not too much!) and just the right amount of saltiness, this soup is baked to perfection. We always order the butt steak — always delicious and perfectly cooked! With your steak, you get your option of potato — We always get the baked potato. I promise you will enjoy this spot — if anyone goes, please tell me your thoughts!

While driving to the Unilocal party at Quartino, my car said«clunk…clunk…CL-CLUNK» and then fainted. There’s no rush like that of being broken down on Mannheim in heavy traffic. Nice dude comes out of Stacy’s, a place I’ve driven past several times and wondered about. He and his buddy push me into the parking lot and all is well. Stacy’s turns out to be a clean, friendly bar with lots of nice guys, having a drink after work. Guys with a wealth of knowledge on the fairest mechanics in the area, plus one or two of them had a family member cured by the doctors I work with. They make the calls for me, set me up nice and sweet. Two others went back outside to try to diagnose matters. I stayed for a beer, which they wouldn’t let me pay for. Wanna be that way? Ok, so I got a little out of line and had the bar waitress set up the gentlemen with a round, which was met with a collective«NAAAAW,» Sunday Bears game disappointment-style. I’ll be back for the fish fry. Thanks again, gentlemen. 11÷22÷07 — Just want to add that this five-star review is based more on a single beer and old-school hospitality. I stopped back for lunch when I was hungry and on the road for the day. I must say, those burgers are OUTSTANDING.
