In the previous 2 months I have gone out of my way(10 – 12 minutes) 4 times to get to this hidden gem! As a lifetime resident at the Jersey Shore there are plenty of great pizzerias in the area. What I have been searching for living in Tinton falls is that authentic/great ingredients/authentic Jersey pie, and trust me this is it!!! The pies/wings/subs gave all been fantastic!!! FYI you know it’s good when it’s better the next day! BOOM!!!

Ever since the new owner took over, things just haven’t been the same. The pizza is passable, but I wouldn’t ever go out of my way for it. In fact, convenience is the only reason I go here… It’s close to home. The last couple of times we ordered meals for take out, they completed botched the order. How do you mistake bolognese for broccoli, exactly?! We ended up with a container of pasta with broccoli in a garlic sauce. It’s as if the girl on the phone said, «I didn’t hear what they said, but this starts with a B, so that must be it.»

Very surprised by this local spot. Pizza was great, cheese steak and chicken Caesar salad was delicious and a good portion. Totally recommend this place and that’s coming from someone who has had pizza from just about all the best spots in NJ/NY!

The food is delicious and the service is even better. I have gone into Anthony’s for about three weekends straight now to grab a slice and it is always a pleasurable experience. The cashier is always really nice and chill and we always enjoy our time there. I’ll try my best to keep this weekend streak going!

Anthony’s has been a long-standing favorite for us. Excellent food and even better wait staff. Especially Christina, everyone’s favorite, she is no doubt a big part of this restaurant’s success. Love this restaurant and the people who work there.

Great experience! Karen, the server, was the nicest person that you could possibly imagine. She recommended the escrol soup and the Cheesesteak Special with homemade marinara sauce and cherry bomb tomatoes which were absolutely off the charts! Guillermo, one of the great cooks here, came out of the kitchen to chat and was an absolutely great guy. To come here when you are in the area is an understatement. It is worth driving out of your way for!

I never do these reviews, but after my experience here I felt the need to. I used to go to Anthony’s often when I was a kid and it was always a great experience, but after the last few times I ordered food from them, I don’t think I will be going back. I recently ordered a small cheese steak and was surprised to find that there was barely any meat on it– it was laughable. I basically paid around $ 8.50 for a(very tiny) plain piece of bread. Other pizzeria’s in the area offer much larger portions for your money. Anthony’s is a rip off. If you want to go to a nice pizza place with good size portions, go to Attilio’s right on Rt. 35!

I’ve gone here many times, and every time I’ve gone, the food has always been delicious. But I started trying other places, and have become increasingly disappointed in a few big things. First is the portions. Not good for the money you spend. The amount of pasta they give you is considerably less than other local pizzerias. Also, compared to other places, their sandwiches are just sad. A full size sub was around half that of other places not to mention the ingredients in them were skimpy, overpowered by the bread. Finally is the customer service. I’ve found the people there are not respectful of the language barrier. The last time I was there, they were speaking Italian and looking at me, would speak English for a few words, then back to Italian while looking right at me. I was not a happy camper when I left that day with my pizza. Since then, never set foot in that place again. Compared to other local establishments, it’s nothing special at all, below standard if you ask me. I can spend my money in places that seem to care about their food and customers much more than they do.

I avoided Anthony’s for a long time after stopping in for pizza around 11:30 am and seeing a variety of pies that had to be a day old– pizza doesn’t dry up that quickly if it’s just an hour or two old. Well, I was told that if you ordered fresh good, you’d be rewarded. And we sure were. My GF and I ordered a double size hot antipasto and it was both enormous and delicious. For $ 20, it was practically a meal. We shared a shrimp fra diavolo and the shrimp and sauce were very nice. Overall, a very pleasant surprise.

I don’t even know what the food tastes because I decided not to order after the rude and nasty treatment I got over the phone. Would give it zero stars if I could!

This is my favorite local Pizza place. No delivery, but worth the effort to pick up. Also, wonderful italian food. The restaurant is typical neighborhood style, and can get crowded.
