Finding Benny’s will be the hardest part located on the second floor next to Beach Haus brewery. Once there the place has a nice atmosphere and authentic Italian pizza oven. Staff was very polite and always checking in on us. We enjoyed the Fat Lip and must say it was pretty good. It is also a BYOB which is always nice especially when You have a liquor store on one side and brewery on the other. I wasn’t blown away by the food but it was good enough that I would go back. We did witness some of the other plates being enjoyed by the families around us and they all seemed happy. Definitely worth giving a try.

Pleasantly surprised with pizza from Benny’s in Belmar. Light flaky crust and fresh ingredients. The Benny’s «Fat Lip» Hot cherry peppers, tomatoes, basil, EEVO, provolone… etc etc D’lish Staff was very friendly. Try their array of mustard… will not disappoint.

I love pizza, but unfortunately this is not the place to get it. Belmar has great pizza, but I wouldn’t suggest Benny’s. We visited after having a drink at Beach Haus(+1 on location) and thought pizza sounded good. Between the poor service(‘can’t customize’ on some pizzas, which was explained in some parentheses that were not on the menu), messed up orders(pressured to keep wrong pizza) and bland food(did not taste the freshness they claimed), it was an underwhelming experience. My suggestion: try a flight at Beach Haus, then get food elsewhere

Went to Benny’s on a Saturday afternoon in December. We were the only one’s in there, so no problem getting seated and service was attentive. The restaurant is on the second floor and has that trendy industrial chic look i feel like I’m seeing everywhere now — not my thing, but it’s fine and there is a good amount of room between tables. There is a mix of smaller tables and community sized tables like you would see at nearby Porta. We ordered two pizzas — a Margherita with sausage and the Fat Lip. The pizzas were tasty, although one our pies had a pretty good sized hole in it. I would think they should have tossed it and started over, but they brought it over anyway — i didn’t complain — I was hungry and it was good. If you’re looking for something more akin to authentic Neopolitan, this is not quite it. Unlike the soft dough and somewhat wet toppings you will find in more purist pursuits of Naples pizzas, this pizza was very crispy all throughout and slightly dry. No complaints from me, but some might not be expecting that. The dough did have a nice sourdough tang to it, so that was nice. I think where they will struggle is with their pricing. I eat this type of pizza all over NYC, NJ and Philly. This place is pretty much more expensive than most of them. The main reason is that they offer very few pre-combined pizzas with toppings. You basically start with either a Margherita($ 16.00) or a White($ 14.00), then add toppings a la carte — add two toppings to the Margherita and you’re already at $ 20.00. That’s pretty stiff for Belmar, NJ. They really ought to re-consider the value proposition of offering more pre-defined combination pies. They’ve got some other interesting menu items from salads, store-made sausages, sandwiches, a pretzel with dipping sauces, pastas, etc. none of which we tried.

Fabulous Dinner tonight at Benny’s! Happening atmosphere, live music, great staff, great service! Great views of Main Ave, Belmar! No complaints! Pizza is very light and tasty. My very Italian grandmother said the pizza«tastes like Naples»!!

Out of the way place that is a worth the trip. This place is located on the upper level so prepare to climb three flights of steps or take the elevator that is available. We had the margharetta pie and the Fat Lip. Both were excellent. Pizza is one size only. BYOB with a package store right downstairs. They will do delivery service but if you are in a hurry you can go and get your own. The staff was very friendly and professional. We were served by two waitstaff, one was training. They were always checking in to see how we were doing. The host also attentive and put our adult beverages in a nice ice filled bucket. Over all, two pizzas and two iced teas were about $ 41 with tip. I’d definitely go back again.

Great family visit. Loved the Margherita pizza. BYOB but since it is in the Beach Haus Brewery one of our party was able to go into the brewery to get beer for our beer lovers. Service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Put this place on our pizza tour and it comes up good! Space is different, kind of a refurbished factory feel. Waiter, Justin was great funny and accommodating. Pizza was made in wood brick oven. Very tasty, ingredients fresh. Will be back to try some other items on the menu.

From the mustard bar to the amazing salads to the blistery pizza unlike any you can get outside of ITALY, this fab addition to the shore dining options rocks. Great people, fantastic and authentic food, and fun setting. One word: go.

Great pizza in a cool atmosphere. The chicken was moist & the big pretzel w/dipping sauce were very tasty. BYOB is a bonus!
