Amanda’s Hair and Nails

So I was looking to get my nails done for the first time since I moved to the bay area! And of course looking for something closer to home near belmont! And I stumbled upon Amanda’s while running some errands!
Must say Amanda’s is def worth the money you pay! Manicure was really nice and Kim did a fab job with my manicure! But I think they could have done a better job with the pedicure! And specially when it says spa pedicure.

I’ve gotten very sick of paying $ 50+ for a simple haircut — I always just get a trim and sometimes wash/​simple style, so I looked for a cheaper option on Unilocal,and this was it!
The only downside was that the salon wasn’t very modern inside, and there was a lot of dust on things, which is why I gave it 4 stars. However, I got a good trim (I asked for less than an inch off to cut off split ends) and a style. She did a great job with the cut, listening to my request, and did a creative wavy-​flat iron style on my hair. I will be back again in a few months — only $ 20 for a women’s cut!

Called to make an appointment yesterday for a haircut and pedicure. Arrived a little early and they were able to start me off right away with a haircut. Requested to keep my layers and give me a good trim. I opted not to blow dry my hair. Then did a pedicure and they did a really good job on my pedicure.
Both the haircut with shampoo and pedicure was $ 40.00. I think the price went up based on the prior reviews but overall a very good deal.
They seem pretty busy so best to make an appointment

Store hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Better to get an appointment.

Best salon experience I’ve had. My friends and I went in for a haircut and a manicure and we ended up just doing everything.
Haircut: It was amazing, i love my hair. Lynn puts so much time into it. $ 15
Manicure & Spa Pedicure: I love my nails and toenails, got a massage too! $ 10 and $ 20
Eyebrow Waxing: Never knew it could be this painless! $ 10
Lynn is a perfectionist and the lady who did my nails was really nice! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend.

I love this place, not only because of the great prices but because I found a barber who can actually cut my hair. Lin is awesome and gets it right every time.
The location off Ralston is a bonus as well as the great service. I highly recommend switching barbers regardless of your normal price range.

We just left from the place and we loved it! Super friendly! The lady who cut my son’s hair was great! No problem with the hair. Affordable!!! We’re going back for sure!!!

Was tired & needed a pedi. Walked in, had an opening (yay!) & I got a great pedicure @ a great price. Very relaxing.

I’ll keep this short but just wanted to say this place and Lynn have been a lifesaver to us. My son has Autism and haircuts used to be a nightmare as most stylist had little patience with my son’s extra sensory issues. On our 1^st try more than 3 years ago I told Lynn he had trouble with the noise made by clippers. She smiled and assured me it would be fine. I watched as she laughed with my son and sang little songs to distract him while she worked. The result was the 1^st tear free cut we’d ever had. We’ve since moved to La Honda on the coast but I still drive over to Belmont at least once a month so she can cut his hair.
Great prices, great service and a huge smile each time she sees us. What more could we ask for? Thanks so much for what you do!

Very good price and service for haircut. I take my boys there for haircut regularly. Now my husband goes there, too.

I moved up to Belmont from Marin County Jan 1^st 2012. I’ve been getting «super cuts» haircuts for about 14 years now from a very nice lady. She was great, but still I dreaded finding another place to go that would treat me like a friend, and knew what I wanted in style, and quality. I paid Super cuts 22 dollars per hair cut, and I always tipped.
I was introduced to Amanda, and she already knew what I wanted! She made me clean cut, nice and neat. No weird stuff. She charged me 12 dollars, and I gasped! Super cuts spent 10 minutes cutting my hair, I think Amanda was around 20, very detailed and precise. She checks both sides of my head for symmetry!
She gets an A for many reasons.
