When you need to roll up your sleeves and play hard ball, you want Barbara Kuehn on your team. She knows the law, knows opposing counsel, knows the staff at the Justice Center, and knows the judges well.
Like all things, you get out of it what you put in. I found that Barbara was at her best, and literally embarrassed opposing counsel, with her perfect timing and salient points WHEN I also took the time to make sure that she was prepped and provided her the salient points to utilize. Do not expect any attorney to know the details as well as you do, so to help in this, I always provided Barbara a summary of key bullet points whenever things brought us to court. With these in hand, Barbara was a MASTER of the perfectly timed interjection. She won most, but not all points, but had opposing counsel back pedaling. In the end, I benefitted financially, in a fair and substantial way.
On the occasion that I didn’t do my part and provide input and backup info, Barbara was less able to ‘attack’. Lesson learned to make sure I give her the arrows that she needs to shoot. It’s not reasonable to think that she could do it all alone.
When I first met with her, I told her that I needed a «shark». I got one.
I read the other comments that might not be as positive. I did not have that kind of experience at all, and think part of the situation is that as the client, you too have to contribute to the overall success.

This review is long overdue. Barbara and her team are fantastic and very knowledgeable. As much as I hate to say it but a divorce attorney is probably one of the last people you ever plan on speaking with. I remember calling her office on that memorable Friday afternoon not knowing what to expect. When I spoke with Barbara, she was pleasant, experienced, professional and very understanding. The communication with her office was very, very good. Barbara was great at providing advice and guidance so as to make the process, I dare say as painless as possible. She pays attention to the little details, which really makes a difference. Even the easiest divorces aren’t easy. Though mine wasn’t too complicated, dealing with the stress, surprise, emotions and everything else that goes with it didn’t make it easy. Barbara knows her stuff. I’m glad I had Barbara on my side working for me rather than against me.

Barbara Kuehn has been providing expert legal services for us for the past few years. She is a knowledgeable professional with the ability to maintain confidential client information. Barbara is highly competent, diligent, thorough, honest and has integrity.

I called the office to schedule an appointment with Barbara for consultation. I told Barbara’s assistance that this is an urgent matter and I like to get the schedule for consultation as soon as possible and she promised to call me back to confirm it. However, they never called me back to confirm it. I doubt this office can deliver good services if they even don’t keep their words.

The fact is:
I called on Thursday and the assistant said she will get back to me today or Friday. I said is an urgent because we want to settle the agreement as soon as possible before another party change mind. It sounds like Barbara try to make up a different story. Can I still trust this law office?

DO your reseach before you hire Barbara Kuehn. She has lost her legal license for fraud. Please do a google search, check Avvo and look at what her other clients are saying. I had the most unfortunate experience to not fully research Barbara before I hired her. She is the type of attorney who does not prepare and «wings» it in court. She has no clear strategy and because she has been penalized by the State Bar, has little respect with judges in the community. She is vicious and anyone working with her should proceed carefully. She is mean and spiteful.
I am fortunate to have learned this quickly, fired her and was able to find a reputable attorney who is well respected in the community. Please DO YOUR research before hiring this woman.
In response to Barbara’s email below. YES, I was a client. She has damaged so many relationships that she alludes that I could be a disgruntled employee but I can confirm that she did represent me and did a horrible job.

Retaining a divorce attorney is nothing anybody wants to do. My marriage, unfortunately did not work out and I was scared beyond scared. I was referred to Barbara, walked in knowing nothing about what was down the road for me and my family.
